I paid $25 for a grilled cheese and tomato soup. The grilled cheese was not grilled at all. It was literally two pieces of soggy, untoasted bread with melted cheese inside. No browning, no crisping, nothing that qualifies as a grilled sandwich. To make it worse, the app makes it extremely difficult to submit a complaint, which only adds to the frustration. This was a waste of money and a very disappointing experience. I will not be ordering again. I'm personally sick of these corporations taking complete advantage of us. I'll be boycotting Panera and recommend others do the same!!! read more

This is a place we visit often, but our recent experience was a bit disappointing. The trash bins on the ferry were overflowing, which made the area look untidy and made it difficult for us to dispose of our food waste. What was particularly concerning was that a Panera Bread employee sitting next to me, despite it being lunchtime and seeing the full trash bin, simply threw away their food without any care. Everything else was satisfactory, but because of this, I find it hard to give a high rating. I hope the staff take a bit more responsibility in the future. read more

It's been years since I started coming here and finally doing a review. This is my first time having breakfast. We ordered 3 of the sandwiches: Steak and Wake, nicely seasoned and tender. The Asiago Sausage & Egg wasn't bad either, although I really couldn't taste any aioli. Their Chipotle Chicken and Egg had the most flavor, with peppers and cilantro. Usually we come for lunch and pastries. Their sandwiches are consistently good, but don't expect them to look like their advertised photos. Panera also has the Sip Club, where you lay a flat fee and can get unlimited drinks with some exclusions. I tried that but after a week, it's the same thing. I don't drink soda and make good coffee at home, so it narrow it down to a few selections. There are ordering kiosks near the front, or you can place your order at the counter with a human. You're handed a pager and the food most easy for pick up at the kitchen counter when it buzzes. There's also a name board letting you know your place in line, kinda like a pharmacy at a large hospital. Overall, the vibe is chill. The people are friendly and the food is mostly tasty. Dying afternoon hours, people are doing work on their laptops. Lunch hours a bit busier and from my recent experience, there are a lot of to go orders for weekend breakfast. Parking lot I shared with several restaurants in that stretch of the plaza. Most of the time, you'll get a space. Worst case scenario, walk a bit. I live farther away from Panera now, but still come by here every so often for a bite. read more

Went to lunch with a friend today because she saw the commercials for the dipping sandwiches. I wanted to try it. She ordered the beef dip which came with the onion soup as a dipper and a side salad. I ordered the Philly cheesesteak with a side soup creamy potato. She really loved her sandwich with the dip, but the salad she was not impressed with because it was a Cobb salad, which should've been Romain, but it was all that "backyard" lettuce crap. So she was quite disappointed with that. My Philly cheesesteak was delicious, I was a little hesitant because one other time I had ordered a beef type sandwich and the beef was very fatty. This meat was very tender and had great flavor and it seemed like there was also a garlic aïoli horseradish spread on the sandwich as well. Had caramelized onions and some sweet peppers. It was just an amazing flavor all around. First time I ever tried the potato soup because I usually get broccoli and cheese, the soup was very good. It was very creamy had a good flavor and I had cheese on it as well. Now, instead of serving you the food they give you those square things that light up and rattle when your food is ready, and you go to the counter and get your own stuff. It got crowded as we were there so we were glad we went a little early. The one thing I don't really appreciate is that people come in there and just camp out in tables for hours on end with their computers and their phones and take up space that others could be using especially in the booths. Not many waiting for their food so it seems the crew is doing a great job. Asfor the atmosphere, it is clean and decorated similar to other Panera locations. Came here on a Friday night and did a rapid pick up order. I ordered two items and the estimated pick up time was 15 minutes but my order was ready in less than 10 minutes. When I got in, my order wasn't on the pick up self but when I asked one of the employee, he gave me my order right away. I ordered the broccoli mac n cheese and a bowl of chicken noodle soup. After work and I crave for a warm bowl of soup in this cold weather. Close by my home, I try out Panera Bread. I've had their salad and bakery before with pretty good experience so let's see their soup items. This location is in the Huntington Oaks Center on Huntington Dr. In Monrovia. Plenty of parking spots since it's in a shopping plaza. The lady at the front is very friendly and welcoming as I walk in, patiently introduces me about their soup options and she's very helpful overall. Forgot to check her name but this happened on 12/31 at anytime between 4:00pm to 5:00pm. I ordered the Cream of Chicken & Wild Rice Soup. They gave me a buzzer to wait. My soup was ready in a timely manner and I'm happy about it. The soup is so creamy, the diced chicken, long grain and wild rice, celery, onion and carrots all in one bite with numerous of exciting flavors and a calming warmth. Worker shortage, not enough staff...etc. Panera Bread is one of those businesses suffering with the lack of staff. This Panera Bread use to be fine pre-pandemic. I order ahead a lot and it's ready in matter of minutes. They have plenty of parking near the vicinity so that's a plus. It's close to a Chipotle and other large stops like Kohl's, Trader Joe's, and Marshall's. Lately I just come here to grab a coffee and maybe a quick pastry. If there's staff upfront it may take a while. They are mainly located in the kitchen area. There's these kiosks in turn front to self order of you're already near the store or want to see what pastries they have before ordering. If you have time I recommend ordering ahead for pick-up in your phone. On my recent visit they were out of my favorite hazelnut coffee. Was barely able to squeeze any Columbian coffee from one of the other jugs. There should be a sign or way to alert the staff that there's no more coffee or creamer...etc. especially since there's stations are now self-serve. read more

My husband and I haven't been to Panera Bread in a while. I looked at the offerings and saw Chef's choice, Chicken Tikki Masala. I was surprised to see it offered and, Indian food being a favorite, I ordered it. What a colossal disappointment! First of all, Chicken Tikki Masala is in a creamy golden sauce with chunks of chicken. This was NOTHING like that. It was in a runny brown broth with some dehydrated rice thrown in and not a hint of chicken. There is a hint of Indian spices but that's it. See the attached pictures. There's quite a few items I really like from here but the service is lacking. Employees seem unhappy working there and kindof a drag. Sometimes it takes 20 mins for them to prep a sandwich. Panera bread has handed Sanitation and covid very well. Inside has well spaced out areas with plenty of hand sanitizer. If waiting outside there are specific parking spots for curbside pickup. Ordering is easy on their Panera bread app, and they are almost never late when ordering ahead. You also get a message when your order is ready and can wait in your car till then. I enjoy their coffee subscription as well ($8.99 per month for unlimited iced or hot coffee or hot tea up to every 2 hours). Sometimes this location gets some of the details wrong, but are happy to fix it if there are errors. I also really enjoy their new pizzas!
