Paneras food is what you'd expect from a cafe that has a drive thru. Very average & Expensive for the small amount of food you get. But everyone knows that and expects that! Hello, I have been purchasing a country wheat sourdough loaf on a weekly basis for the past 2 months since moving to this area. This bread is amazing. Great with sandwiches especially. This weekend my car was being used and I had no ride to get my loaf for the week. I decided to order my loaf on Door Dash. One problem, the loaf isn't offered on The Dash. Main issue at the 60 and Stapley location is with the charged lemonade. It's bad enough they are an extra dollar but what's worse is they have now them behind the counter. This requires you to stand in line up to 10 mins per refill waiting for a line of people. This is not good. A quick call to Panera corporate has revealed this is not company policy. They said it would be fixed soon. That was 2 weeks ago. Love the food and location but no one should have to wait 10 mins or more to refill a drink. read more

Tried this newest one. its worth checking out if you like the Paneras locally. The stars are for the staff and layout/potential- what's missing is quality food- especially their bakery items. I've been in Paneras on the East Coast and keep waiting for AZ to catch up. This is their newest and just opened. Like all the Paneras I've tried in AZ- the coffee was lukewarm. The pastries were average. Their scones are not scones- they are dense cakes. The avocado spinach and egg white sandwich came on a bun that was hard as a rock suggest trying a different bread. Disappointed but not surprised sadly. The staff were great, accommodating and great layout. Hope their food catches up. read more

Me and a few friends were super hungry last night plus I had a gift card lol. so we went to this location not realizing till we pulled up that they were closing in 5 minutes, we felt horrible but ordered anyway because they still asked for our order. They were out of a few things of course. but we knew that was our fault since they were literally about to close. But After getting our food, we had driven away and realized that I was missing the warm bowl I ordered. my friends made me go back even though being confrontational like that is NOT my thing, especially when the location was very much closed by then. I thought it was pointless and was expecting them to ignore us in the drive through which would be completely understandable. . But when we pulled back up they were super nice about it! They made my food (while closed!!) and didn't charge me for it!! PLUS they gave us 3 different deserts for free also. worst panera experiences i ever have happen at this location, they don't seem to be paying attention or attentive to customers. i pay cash so i wait for someone to even look at the registers. or when i order online they tell me it's ready and they have more to prepare. they are unprepared and are not aware of their surroundings. the person who handed me my order today had bumped it, i had received completion email as well, he tried sending me with an unfinished order, and then he had no idea what was on the order. it was disappointing. i always leave your location bothered and annoyed with the service and half completed orders. read more

I ordered a Greek salad with no pepperoncini and no chicken with a cup of French onion soup. Salad came with both pepperoncinis and chicken. They also didn't place the lid all the way on my soup which resulted in it spilling all over the bag and my car seat. They also didn't include a spoon so I'm not sure how I'm supposed to eat my soup? I received a gift card from my company to Panera. I am not one to frequent chain restaurants in general and this visit solidified my point. I ordered a breakfast wrap, how hard is it to mess that up, right? Well, the wrap was toasted to the point of being a dry cracker, the eggs, ham and tomatoes were not distributed evenly causing each bite to be only of ham or eggs. I'm so tired of this location being out of baguettes 2 plus hours before closing. My food is supposed to come with a piece of baguette (the primary reason I'm eating there) and when you run out the only options offered are non-bread items. The couple of times I have asked for some kind of bread the person has to ask a supervisor and then I begrudgingly get a half slice of bread. Food was good and very tasty but the restaurant was dirty. 6pm - only a few people eating inside. No one in line to order Booth had previous customers cup, receipt and garbage. The carpeted area where the dining tables are at the entry was full of food and crumbs. The tile floor under the drink station was dirty and full of debris. I'm really not one to write a bad review, but wow this Panera is not good. I love Panera, it's a great place to study and meet up with friends over dinner. However, I'd rather just go the extra mile up to Val Vista's Panera for better service and food. I'm not sure where the issue really lies, but I have a strong feeling it is management. I've never been to a restaurant that is "out of stock" of more items than this location. I mean, they're out of bread at "Panera Bread" almost daily - yet this doesn't seem to be an issue at literally any other location? If they aren't out of bread, its turkey, bacon, avocado, cookies, you name it. Whoever is in charge of ordering for the kitchen needs some serious retraining, that or they have the items but they're too lazy to make it 3-4 hours before closing? We went in the other night and they had giant open buckets full of lemonade sitting on the counter, but no one poured it into the lemonade dispenser? They just left it and walked away, who knows when they finally got around to pouring it in, gross. Anytime you order extra of anything (cucumbers, onions), they never give it to you. Along with the items (bacon, avocado) that you have to pay for extra, you still don't get it! You have to hassle them to get what you asked for, which probably goes back to them already not having enough of the items because the kitchen manager is terrible at their job. I'd like to say I'm truly the only one who experiences all these problems, and maybe it's just my bad luck but on multiple occasions, I hear people at tables all around me complaining, saying they aren't coming back, how it's ridiculous that they're out of everything. All of my friends will go there and text me about how they screwed everything up this time, it truly just isn't worth going until they get better management. At least a chunk of their employees (management and kitchen excluded) are kind and will help when asked. That's about the only good thing. If you want your correct order, make sure you check it before you leave. I've been to this location many times and about half the time my order is accurate. I wish they would ask if you want the bread or an alternative side, but even when you ask for a different side they don't give it to you. Very frustrating. My gf and I come here every so often and the customer service is the absolute worst. The girl who has been in the drive thru the last few times we have come here has some sort of attitude problem and has no problem letting you know it. We ordered our meal and as we were driving away my gf noticed they had not given us one of the items that we had ordered, even paid extra for. We drove back through and let them know and they told us to drive back to the window. After waiting a few minutes some other girl came to the window and waved the item at us then rudely asked "you didn't get one of these?" To which we replied no and offered to hand her the bag and check, the girl declined and held the item out to me saying "well here is another one"... OK you never gave me the item in the first place, how is the "another one"? No sorry or apology or any kind of attempt to make the situation better, just accusing us of being dishonest... The management here really needs to get some training as does their staff. Panera Bread seems to be run by accountants and young MBA's squeezing every ounce of profit out of a lackluster offering. Panera bought and then system dismantled a fantastic business: Paradise Bakery. They started slicing the bread thinner, skimping on portions, using lower quality ingredients, making the cookies smaller and cramming more people into their dining rooms. Staff became less welcoming and the nice delicious feel-good bakery/deli became a hollow corporate box... not even a shadow of the great place it once was. Poor management and profit squeezing lost my trust and patronage and destroyed a once great business. Lesson to be learned: DON'T WATER DOWN THE SOUP! read more
