This Panera is getting worse and worse. Every time I come here the dishes are dirty. Even my silverware is stained and unappealing. It takes longer than it should to get your food as they are understaffed and when u finally get it the quality isn't there compared to any other Panera. The cookies are consistently stale as well. I don't recommend unless ur ok with waiting a while and dirty dishes. The one in Exton is an alternative. read more

I'm generally happy to walk into any Panera and experience the consistency they offer. Food and service are generally good, and their rotating menu is often interesting. Their trend lately toward organics and hearty basics with a creative twist has my attention, and I spend more time there than I'd sometimes like to admit. However, the prices are certainly outpacing my desire for the food. I am more likely to stop in and get a coffee or a bagel lately than I am to spend $8-9 for a sandwich. I love the tastes and the creativity, but there's not enough value here for that to be sustainable as a casual eating place so much as an occasional departure from the norm or for a special event. Yes, everything's getting more expensive, and salaries are not going up to match - they're going to have to figure out how to bring prices back into line in order to convince me to eat here more often. read more

I used to love Panera but this Panera sucks. The only reason I go to any Panera anymore is for soup in a bread bowl. They seriously never have them! I've tried to get one probably 4 times in the past month or two and they just don't have them. I'm officially done with this place. read more

I love to eat here, the food is great. I come here often and the food is always fast. The only thing is- I have tried to come here a few times to get work done and the music that plays is way to loud to focus on anything. Walked out $11 lighter and even more frustrated after experiencing this location during a late lunch recently. I was about to walk out as it took far too long to take my order despite not being busy, and the food quality was lame. Had a steak/cheese half-panini with crappy chips and a soda. The panini was far too heavy on onions, and the portion size overall was too small for the price. I've had good meals at other Panera locations in the past, but this location seems to be on a different planet. They seem to exist on the notion that "we're here, so we'll be successful". There are far too many other options in the area to get by this way. At least they offer some teas and lemonades in addition to the usual sodas. read more

the lady at the window for the drive through, she just seemed like she didnt want to be there and thats not great. Im VERY disappointed with the french baguette i got. STALE STALE STALE. tasted like i was chewing rubber, as for the chicken ceaser salad, croutons were stale.... the sandwhich and cookie are the only reasons why this is a 2 star and not a 1 star.... for $17.00 i was completely dissatisfied with this panera location. which is a shame because ill have to drive 25 minutes now instead of 2 minutes to go to a better one. read more

This location looks like a Express Panera. The new layout for Panera is horrible. The stores look smaller. This store is not a good store. They dont give you enough food vs. Panera in Exton, Panera in King of Prussia or Panera at Gateway Shopping Center. I felt the front area and the kitchen are organized. Not an easy parking lot. They dont just match up to the standard to what I remember Panera. The front area had dust on tables where the cookies were located. Some of the employees did not wear name tag. Why tell other people about this. If you want a good place to eat and be comfortable. Dont go to this location. read more

This location is the worst and not deserving of the Panera name. My last 2 drive-thru experiences: 1) a half hour wait with only 1 car in front of me and 2) nobody even showing up to take my order. You would be better off going 15 minutes out of the way to the West Chester Panera - you might even save time. read more

Yesterday I ordered the Mediterranean Grain Bowl with Chicken and they didn't put the chicken on the bowl. An ingredient that is prominently in the name of the meal wasn't even put on the bowl. To top it all off, when I asked them to correct the error they all seemed annoyed that I would even ask for the CHICKEN that's in the grain bowl with CHICKEN. Not one person apologized or even said sorry. They yelled for the chicken heated it up and then slide the cup of chicken to me like I had asked for something that was so hard for them to do. The customer service here is horrible and they need management to step in and start training people again. read more

This location at Panera Bread is okay. The employees are pretty friendly although the food service can be slow, even when you pre-order through the app. Never has it been ready when promised, they usually forget something, as in something worth going back and possibly even getting your money back for, but you don't have time to do so. Sometimes they are out of ingredients. There isn't any love put into the food, it's basically just put together and given to you, sort of like at a fast food restaurant, which I don't consider Panera to be. The food staff doesn't apologize when anything is slow or wrong, even if you give them the look over the counter. I gave it three stars because the food is okay, the cashiers are okay. I drive by all the time, and even think of ordering breakfast before work some days but I know it won't be ready at the promised time so I make other choices with other businesses for my tummy :-) read more

Came here and ordered some soup and when I thanked the person for the soup the idiot started mocking me for saying thank you. Afterwards when I went to return the dishes, the staff who was clearing the dishes kept muttering to herself that customers were not keeping bowls in right places! What down beat disgruntled service with utter lack of training and professionalism towards customers. Would have given zero rating but it's not an option. Hoping for a good tuna sandwich I stopped by Panera's drive thru. I've never been impressed by this chain, and this didn't improve my opinion. The concept is great as is the menu, however the execution is completely lacking. My sandwich was thrown together, and a complete soggy mess, the tuna was poor quality as well. I ended up throwing most of it away. Don't waste your tastebuds on this place. I have visited more than one location over the years, as they seem to occupy space in every major strip mall. But the salads are pathetic mass of browning lettuce and the sandwiches are a disaster. You charge a premium for everything on your menu and are seemingly always busy, so, why not invest in your employees and then train them well, then spend a few extra pennies on higher quality ingredients? Stopped here for breakfast since this is a new place near my work. The food was downright awful. Got a breakfast sandwich, egg was so slimy and microwaved I spit it out after taking one bite. The only reason this Panera is still in business is because of the convenient location. They have gotten my order wrong literally every time I've been there in the past six months. Today was the last straw - I ordered a salad with extra dressing, and I received some lettuce with half of the toppings I ordered, and no dressing at all. I can say with 100% confidence that this is one of the worst establishments I have ever had the unpleasant experience of visiting. This location is a disgrace to the Panera name. Slow service, attitudes when ordering at the registers. When ordering a bagel with cream cheese, you are given a bagel, a plastic knife, and charged an additional fee for each cream cheese packet. Mind you, this cream cheese is not applied to your bagel. Oh, and the real kicker: Their toaster has been broken for months..... How can you operate a bagel based chain without an operating toaster?? Worst planets location ever. I ordered for pick up a breakfast sandwich and iced coffee. When I got to the counter to pick up my coffee the cup was empty- confused I went to the counter (where the only person ordering was an employee going on his break). The girl taking his order I guess thought it was funny to ask him every single question normally asked to a customer to drag out his order as they could both clearly see me standing there. Very obnoxious, not funny, and not good customer service. When I finally got home and took a bite of my breakfast sandwich I spit it right out. The sausage was SO over cooked that it was barely even chewable, so I basically had a bagel for breakfast seeing as they hardly even put cheese on it. Also the worst coffee I have ever had in my entire life. I took one sip and literally shook and got the chills at how awful it was. I tried adding more cream and sugar but it was still so awful I dumped the entire cup. It was a mixture of being way too over brewed and also watered down. Overall, completely awful experience. I went this past Friday at lunch and it was very busy. There was an employee standing on the customer side of the pickup counter yelling order names and handing out orders. It seemed to move the crowd along faster. I usually go with a salad. A lot of the sandwiches look pre made and unappetizing. With few exceptions, this Panera consistently is disappointing. I rarely write a negative review, but I could not hold back today. Apparently, they will not serve you bagels at the drive through. You must go inside the store for this... in the middle of a pandemic. Almost every other restaurant I have ordered food from goes above and beyond to carry food out to your car. They even will put it in your trunk for a true contactless experience if you want them to. Not Panera... they can't even hand you some bagels through their drive through. Ridiculous!!! The real kicker... my wife is a nurse that just finished taking care of COVID patients all night long. She would have been putting people at risk if she went inside to get bagels in her dirty scrubs. She just left without any food... I really don't understand Panera's logic. She did not ask for anything fancy, just a dozen bagels - not sliced or toasted, no spreads. Went there with co-workers earlier today - total disaster. One co-worker, his sandwich was missing almost its entire contents (just bread and a little bit of contents). You couldn't see any contents between the super-thick Ciabatta bread slices. Another co-worker, he ordered a grilled cheese, it looked like only one slice of cheese was used. New location. A bit tricky in and out as you access it off the road leading onto Wegmans, target and Vanguard. The lot is tight getting in off the drive. The staff was still learning the ropes but our first 4 visits were still good. Yes, managers stepped in to help with orders and a few extra questions were asked but the staff has to learn. They were super nice. Our food has been excellent every time and exactly what we ordered (not exactly per the menu). We are huge fans of the Autumn Squash soup. Almost all soups are now safe for our allergic family member with the preservatives removed . It is crazy busy during weekday lunch with the huge corporate park nearby. Weekends are quiet. Nice outdoor seating, no view but pleasant patio. Indoor seating is smaller than Exton's but the décor is nicer. read more

I never fault a business for being busy, so we decided that we would place our orders "to go" and eat back at the office. I ordered a sandwich of roasted turkey with cheddar and apples. I asked to add bacon and for some mayo on the side. I was a little surprised that for just the sandwich and a bag of chips that it cost $11.33. I love Panera and have been going the West Chester location for years. That Panera is way better than the one here in Malvern. May favorite thing to get is the "you pick two" soup and salad combination. Every time I order a salad to go from the Malvern location, it is so small and the lettuce is wilted. This week I placed a to go order for my family. They were out of baguettes, both salads were wilted and the tomatoes looked bad, and my son had a hair in his sandwich. Customer service here is terrible. Ordered food through the drive-thru and waited for 5 minutes and no one cared to acknowledge I was there. In addition I was the only person waiting at the drive thru so this is unacceptable. The whole drive thru staff needs to be retrained. read more

The food is consistent and it's best to go before 11:45am. Was there on Thursday November 12 and the place was packed. Getting through the line wasn't bad, but once our order was placed, that's where it got worse. There were so many orders and the people in the kitchen were scrambling. Our names never made it to the board so nobody could explain how long it might take. The manager was in the kitchen helping but she was so flustered and didn't even try to find out where our order was. Our drinks were sitting on the counter, but nobody could tell us if they were ours. I eventually just took them. After thirty minutes, I went back up to the counter and saw our order sitting there. Never made it on the board, and nobody made an effort to call out our names. This restaurant is too small and unorganized to handle the large amounts of customers that are coming in, especially at the lunch hour. The parking lot is absolutely dangerous. read more
