That has been accomplished. My recent visit demonstrated that management is actively engaged in rebuilding brand by focusing on returning everything that the seafood market was previously known for to their former glory, as well as expanding with high end crab adjacent goods, like packaged pastas, pierogi, sauces and Stock pound cakes. All this, and the smiling repartee from Mark, one half of the new team running the business. This shop may be small, but it is bright and friendly. Of course, the crab is excellent, especially in light of the fact that Chucky is no where near the Chesapeake and must have inventory all year, and not just in crab season. No whole live crabs in the house, but their thing is the cake that lump crabmeat can create. Several options depending on your taste are available. I purchased a quart of Cream of Roasted Corn & Crab Soup and sampled three large fresh Shrimp. The chowder was delicious, with lots of corn and shredded sweet crab. Maybe not quite as meaty as I have loved in Annapolis, the Eastern Shore or the Delaware Beaches, but compelling nonetheless. I was quite disappointed as it was a very regular stop for me to get my fair share of olive oil and flavored balsamic dressings. But, their main shop in Newtown, PA is not too long of a drive to continue to make the trip to get my oils and balsamic. Also, Newtown has some other great shops and restaurants so it makes for a nice day trip. Tubby Olive has dozens of oils and balsamic in all kinds of awesome flavors stored in metal tubs that allow you to sample every single one if you so desired. They have two main sizes of bottles, but then they also have tiny bottles for some nice gift sets already put together. You can sign up for the frequent customer discount where after nine bottles your tenth is free. The store is quaint with old wooden floors and I've never had any bad customer service. I tend to rotate between the Traditional 18-Year Balsamic and the Fig Balsamic, and for oils they separate them between mild, medium, and robust. I tend to like the different mild oils and choose one on the spot after trying them. I'm more than happy to give Tubby Olive my business. You should, too. Very quality products. Prices have risen in recent times, but I still come back. Large bottles are about $40 and regular $20.

I also like how you can taste them before you buy. No matter what you like you will be able to find a vinegar that matches your pallette and dish that you are cooking. As far as Olive Oil, we prefer the robust blends but they have medium and mild as well. They are always mixing it up so they have a big variety. They also have infused olive oil. I like the blood orange to mix with the fruit infused balsamics for a salad dressing. You can shop in the store store if you like samples. They also ship and have the same selection on line. So if you cannot make it into the store, you can still order their great products. The bottom line is it is worth the drive to browse the store and sample the selections. This is the place to get all of your olive oil or balsamic vinegar.

Unfortunately... my sandwich was practically inedible because the pork tasted VERY salty and the sautéed broccoli rabe had little flavor at all. I didn't finish the sandwich, even though I was pretty hungry. Thankfully, I had added a small order of plain tater tots ($4.75) which were actually pretty good. My dining companion opted to start with a cup of the gluten-free/dairy-free "Almost Famous Tomato Bisque" ($6.50 for a cup), but was put off by the strong taste of a spice that tasted like cumin (a big turnoff for her) and didn't finish the soup. When the credit card receipt was emailed to me afterwards.. the 6% Pennsylvania sales tax on prepared foods was labelled only as "The Pork Shack", which initially made me think they had added additional service charge until I did my own research on Pennsylvania sales and use tax. It shouldn't require a CPA to figure that out. We went back later in the week to check out their breakfast and they knocked that out of the park as well. No skimpy breakfast sandwiches here. Pork roll and cheese piled high on a fresh Kaiser roll did not disappoint. The staff was primarily younger but understood good work ethic, and you could tell took prince in what they were serving. Beautiful cruise for early December, with peekaboo rain clouds dotting the horizon. I arrived about 3:00 in the afternoon when the large outdoor flea market was mostly concluded. I saw the red Supa Thai sign on the biggest wood building as I drove in and parked in the median across from the entry door. Walking in the restaurant was to the right crammed in the south end, with a small Thai grocery, clothing and furniture displays to the left. There was a lot going on there. For the moment I was the only customer, so there was time for conversation with Supa, the beautiful creative dynamo at the stove and her lovely sou chef. Captivated, I ordered Pad Kee Mao (Drunken Noodles), Tom Kha Gai (Coconut Soup w Chicken), and Chili Puffs (chicken/mashed potato mix). I had to stop from getting more, as I watched the food being prepared and was tempted by everything on the menu. I took it all home with the seductive aroma lilting from the bag all the way down Aquatong, Taylorsville, and Washington Crossing Roads. Everything was plentiful and delicious. The Tom Kha Gai was full of fresh cut mushrooms, strips of chicken, onion, carrot, galangal, hint of lemongrass heat and sweet coconut milk. Loved it. The Pad Kee Mao was likewise loaded with fresh veggies, chicken and stove stop Thai sauce coating everything. Terrific, although it could have been hotter (I requested 'Thai Spicy'). Finally, the Chili Puffs were excellent with light thin pastry dough wrapped around tasty mashed potato/chicken mix and subtle spices. My family loved it all, too. Supa Thai is only open when Rice's Market is open (Tuesday\Saturday), with limited hours, so check before you come. She caters private parties, too. Aside from these business restrictions, it behooves anyone who joneses for Thai cuisine to get to Supa Thai at their earliest opportunity. She is the best Thai chef you will find in Bucks County and likely far beyond.
