Service was efficient, and they ran a special for people celebrating their birthday. The birthday person gets their main course for free. 20% tip was automatically added. Our server reminded us that was divided between them and other staff and pointed out the space where we could add an additional tip. I spoke with the hostess, and she confirmed this was not a service dog, and she informed me that the manager made an exception because it was too hot for them to eat outside and the customer told the manager that the dog would behave. The manager made this decision without considering any other people in the restaurant. This is disgusting and unsanitary. If we would have known there was a dog in the restaurant, we would not have eaten there. We did not pay almost $200 to dine with someone's pet. Only service animals should be allowed in a restaurant and there should never be an exception made at the expense of other guests. I was disappointed and shocked that this would have been approved by a manager. I will not visit this location again unless the manager can commit to the highest level of service to the guests and does not permit people to bring their pets with them into the restaurant.
