I came to Panera for the first time with pretty high expectations. I was pretty disappointed....I had the turkey artichoke sandwich and french onion soup. The soup was really salty and I don't think there were any artichokes in the sandwich. My favorite part was the bread that came with the soup....lol. I ordered my food on line and got a bread bowl and Mac n cheese. When I get home to open up my food I realized I didn't get what I ordered. They forgot my bread bowl but still charged me for it. First time trying this place, my GF raves about the other locations she's been to. Went on a weekday afternoon, no line, but lots of people simply hanging out, studying, eating, or whatever. The bread on the steak and cheese sandwich was hard as a rock. LOL Tomato soup was good though. What added the extra star on the rating was the pastry. I normally dont like to eat sweets but the "Cobblestone" is definitely something I'd go back for. All in all, food was alright, sandwich was a bit over-rated if you ask me. read more

I really like this place, it's right next to my college so I come every once in a while. Everything I've had tastes great! Nice people and staff. Only suggestion for Panera is this: when you're serving customers the bread bowl it'd be nice to get a sharp knife so we can cut the bowl rather than rip it apart with our hands. Also you don't need to serve a chunk of baguette on the side of the bread bowl, because it's just way too much bread! That's all :) read more

I absolutely love this location! The store manager is so amazingly friendly and his staff is also quite friendly. I drive out of my way sometimes just to visit this location. Everyone is helpful and accommodating and almost all of the staff will address me with a big smile! The ambience is welcoming at this location. The seating and tables are ALWAYS clean. I love the giant tree outside that offers much shade. I use rapid pickup all the time and my order is always ready on time. The other ordering methods are also convenient as you can order from four available kiosks, from your table, or from the cashier. I love the table ordering because when you're all setup with a kid or a laptop it's nice that you can get a dessert or something extra without getting up. The food at Panera is obviously amazing!! I am absolutely thrilled they have cleaned up their ingredients even though the food was very healthy before. I trust the food even more now at Panera for my family. read more

Not only were they out of quite a bit of food, but my daughter ordered a sandwich and they were out of lettuce I went to the counter to get butter for the brioche, when one of the employees threw away some lettuce. I usually get a salad and/or soup and my order always comes out right. This is especially good because I often have certain salad ingredients omitted due to diet restrictions. Very friendly service. Always attentive to my needs. The tables are often dirty though during busy times. People don't often clean up their own messes and the staff can't clean it up fast enough. My friend and I came here twice in one day. In the afternoon we ordered drinks and worked. The service was lovely and quick, and we had ample access to outlets. I came in this evening and would like to commend the two employees I interacted with. The young lady at the register (I didn't catch her name) was an absolute delight; smiling and initiated conversation. When I was in the tea area I inquired about decaf options and she alerted her co-worker Tori who was working in the dining room area. Tori was extremely helpful, getting all the way on the floor to find decaf tea bags in the cabinet, smiling and staying cheerful the whole time. I also observed her engaging with other customers, which they obviously enjoyed. When I arrived 15 minutes later the lady told me that the order was just being finish so I sat down and waited. And then waited some more and more. I would have given Panera a better review since I love their food choices, they reinvent their menu all the time. My son ordered their new Mac and Cheese with a twist and he really liked it. The service is good and fast. The price I would say pretty reasonable. The kicker is the restaurant itself, it was dirty. This wasn't the first time that we came and arrived with tables not cleaned and we had to wipe the area/tables ourselves. The floor was also dirty with crumbs. It's not as if there was a lot of customers that they can't keep up with the pace. There was also enough staff from my vantage view who should be helping each other clean up rather than expect one person to do the cleaning up for the whole area. read more

I had great service today when I came in for my mobile order! I asked for a bagel pack to be boxed, and although they no longer provide this service they did it as a big favor for me. After explaining the order was for my child's teaching staff, the gentleman behind the counter laid out the bagels and cream cheese in a nice catering box. It looked 100 x more presentable!! So grateful for the service today! I usually come here for coffee and park myself at a table to work using their WiFi. My mobile orders are always on time and prepped correctly. My husband and I used to go to Panera every Saturday to get the bacon egg and cheese breakfast sandwich. We were really disappointed when they changed the way the cooked the egg. They only offer it in over easy which is way to yolky for us. It becomes all about the yolk. We asked to have it cooked longer and we were told NO. I order specific beagle the tell me they didn't have it no problem so I chose a different one. 30 min passed mind you besides me there is 2 parties here so there is no reason why they should take this long. I want to thank the staff and manager in this La Verne location for the awesome service we received today. My friend and I got our regular bagel and pastries for breakfast and sat in the patio section outside. After upon finishing our food and ready to head out, I left my purse hanging on the chair and left the location. Couple of hours gone by and I realized I have forgotten my purse in the patio. I called the restaurant and the staff took care of my purse and I was able to retrieve it. Thank goodness! The staff and manager were all so kind and caring. I can't thank you all so much! read more

I love Panera....just not this one!!! The service is horrible at this location. I've been here on 5 separate occasions. They've ruined my order multiple times, twice forgot about me, once charged my mom double, and served me cold mushy food. When I confronted them about my cold mushy sandwich the manager directed me to the microwave. I asked him to remake the sandwich and he said that he couldn't but again insisted that I put it in the microwave. I wish Panera would Microwave this location. I think Panera Bread is really good but this location just doesent set the bar to that standard. Last week I was in a hurry and needed to get my food for me and my girl friend to go. I ordered the 2 item combo thing and my grilled sandwich was cold it felt like it wasnt even cooked by the time I got home which is less than 5 min. Then the 2 soups I got were both wrong and I asked for salad dressing on the side and that didnt happen either. I would think if your gonna pay 20 bucks for a couple of meals you would deserve to get your orders right. It's not burger king c mon. So I called them and explained what had happened and they said it happens we will have a manager call you and comp you some food in the future....as they should, the sandwich sucked and the incorrect soups were nasty. Visited today for lunch with my wife, on a cold, rainy day in SoCal. Line to the door, ONE register open. When we order, I get my coffee cup and head to the pump pots - EMPTY! On a cold rainy day! Empty! Have to take my empty cup back to my table for 10 minutes while they brew another pot. Wife uses the restroom, comes out almost gagging - restroom FILTHY. Manager says to her "But we just cleaned it!". We go to sit down, and the back seating area has the A/C on - people are pulling their jackets around them, and it's seriously like 51 degrees in there. What are we doing here? I don't know if Panera management ever reads this place, but take this from a longtime customer who has eaten (and loves eating) at Paneras across the country - this place is a train wreck.
