I cannot believe this place shame on the overworked staff and unreliable management! My daughter came into this location looking for a wholesome Panera experience and not only was her time wasted but her experience ruined. Lazy managers who left her waiting for over 30 minutes to be acknowledged is unacceptable. We will never support this business again and your managers should be ashamed of themselves! read more

I'd give this Panera about 3.5 stars overall. The food was good and came out warm, which I really appreciated--it definitely hit the spot. Everything tasted fresh and was made pretty well. The only downside was the service. The workers seemed to have a bit of an attitude, which made the experience feel less welcoming than it should've been. Not terrible, but it did take away from an otherwise solid visit. read more

Clean and easy pick up. Not much to add on service as it was pick up. But they did not forget sides. Food was good, but a bit expensive. read more

I had an issue with not adding the Steak to my Steak & Wake, the morning Manager gave me a difficult time over the phone when I requested a refund. I went there after work & the evening Manager Kelly was more than accommodating, kind & generous not only did She give me my money back but also offered me a Danish!! That's what I call EXCELLENT Customer Service & this will keep the customers coming back, She is appreciated 100%!!!!! read more

I used to come here almost everyday during my lunch break! With an hour off, I always had enough time to drive over, order, and eat without feeling rushed (and still had time to stop by Whole Foods a few stores down). The food at this location was always fresh, and the service was always polite and fast. I liked to sit down to eat because the eating area was always clean and quiet. read more

We are done with this Panera, waiting for 10 minutes for anyone to come to counter, we had to ask if the order counter was even open, then waited another 5 minutes. Coffee either gone or barely lukewarm, tables always filthy. If you order at kiosk they won't give you a coffee cup until order is ready... it's just not worth the aggravation. read more

This was my 2nd visit in the past year, and conditions were worse this time. Nice, helpful employees is the only reason it doesn't get 1 star. 4:00pm, so between lunch and dinner rush. Everything was super dirty. Ugh. From outside the store, to the vestibule, to the bakery/register area to every. stinking. table. and my flatware. Ummm . . . I think I'm done here. read more

Yuck! greeted by dirty windows and it did not get much better! No one behind the counter, bread shelves empty! The place was a mess, bread item not available? The floors were filthy and the rugs worse! So unappetizing! The salad I ordered was limp and wet, the 1/2 sandwich horribly put together! We remarked as we left that we believe Panera is closing soon by both granddaughters(ages 12 and 10). What a waste of money-truly awful! read more

Panera is a staple, always the same, nothing too crazy. This was no exception, the staff was polite and moved quickly. The food tastes the same, which is perfect for a quick bread-filled lunch on the go. read more

Panera Bread in Jenkintown, PA is the worst. I ordered the Half sandwich with a salad. The chicken bacon ranch sandwich was very salty with too much dressing. The southwest salad was tasteless. Even worse I think I got food poisoning from the meal as I have had stomach troubles for the last two days since eating the meal. read more

I really wanted to let this go and NOT be a Karin but, sheeeeeesh, this Panera in Jenkintown is truly AWFUL and we will never return after this last experience. We went tonight and every single worker was MEAN and MISERABLE number one. Like, angry that they had customers and refusing to even extend the courtesy of speaking lol. They were OUT OF ALMOST EVERYTHING (without any notification) we ordered and, as a result, decided to just throw my soup in a cup rather than the bread bowl bc they didn't have any left. When I asked about it, I was told - void of any apology or concern - that there "is none" and wasn't even offered any compensation. I could go on - especially about how dirty it also was - but it's too much to even think about. Please do yourself the favor of just skipping this location and drive to the one in Willow Grove where the workers act civilized and the food is actually available. read more

They changed their menu. The new choices are a bad combination too much spice and too much mayonnaise. Service is a non factor. The ambiance has not changed but that is the only thing. I probably won't go back. read more

Our office ordered for a meeting. The Green Goddess Cobb salad was very fresh. The avocado wasn't brown or turning. Loved the Green Goddess dressing. An overall great lunch. Dipped the French bread into my Mexican street corn soup. The corn kernals were mushy. But the poblano flavor did come through. read more

Horrible service! Overpriced and Dirty! Panera is really going downhill! The floor and tables were filthy, the person working the counter couldn't be less interested in being there or to take our order. Order was for 2 Mac-N-Cheeses, 2 fountain drinks and one cookie. Then we were told they ran out of bread!? It's literally Panera Bread!! How is that possible? We were asked if we wanted a fruit cup or apple chips instead. We picked 2 bags of apple chips and sat down to wait for our name to be called as it was an eat-in order. All the tables were dirty and there was food and debris all over the rug. 15 minutes later we approached to ask about the order only to find out it was sitting there in a to-go bag getting cold. The sides in the bag...one apple and a bag or regular chips? We asked the cooks if there was bread and they respond they "had some" and that they "stop serving it after a certain time". We also asked about the to-go bag for an eat-in-order and they told us they didn't want to dirty any bowls or silverware "at this time of night". Note - we ordered at 7:45 and they close at 9pm! $32 and the nerve to ask for tip on screen! Will never go here again. Panera you need to start training your people better. read more

There wasn't enough lettuce in my salad. It was barely a side salad size let alone an entrée size salad. At least they got my order right--Greek salad, no tomatoes, extra olives, side of bread, and I ordered a loaf of sourdough. The sourdough was really tasty, but small for the price. It was gone in 2 days in my house. read more

I had a tennis event out in Jenkintown and following my tennis event, I decided to stop off at this Panera Bread. This Panera is located in Baederwood shopping center in Jenkintown. There were plenty of other options in the same shopping center including Snap pizza and Whole Foods, but I decided to stick with Panera. This Panera is hosts many locals, but it is very large and it didn't seem crowded at all. There were also multiple cashiers and kiosks that allow you to order by yourself. I decided to order with one of the cashiers and Mia was very kind, polite and friendly. I was taken care of very quickly and I ordered a four cheese grilled cheese sandwich, a cup of tomato soup and a brownie. I also got three chocolate chip bagels to go. I got a nice comfortable booth towards the middle of the restaurant. After only about 5 minutes of waiting, my food was all ready. I started off with my tomorrow Soup, which had a nice distinct flavor that was brought out with a hint of pepper. I also had a tasty four cheese grilled cheese with some fresh tomato on top. I also loved my strawberry banana smoothie, which was delicious. Altogether, this is a very nice, large Panera Bread that serves some great, delicious food options. read more

As I am aware this place is a franchise so I can't really criticize too much about the food. I got the get two deal which was a salad and avocado chicken melt sandwich. Both of them were small sizes because of the deal. As well I got bread to go with the deal. I opted out of ordering drinks. I ordered from the screen, and got my food after some time. I also got to take some of the salad home using a to-go salad container. The place was clean and spacious. It was a nice place to dine. The sandwich was delicious - I honestly love avocado and chicken so it was a great combo. The salad was a bit bland but it had some chicken bits to keep it flavorful. It also had some fruit in the salad, which I knew about when I ordered it, but I realized it didn't mesh well with the rest of the salad. I think if I had chosen another type of salad, it would have been better. Fyi, even though the cups are easily accessible for everyone to use along with free refills, unless it is just water, you aren't suppose to use the cups if you didn't pay for drinks. read more

This is by far the worst location in the area.... This is 5 minutes from my home but I go all the way to the Willow grove location... They send you a notification to say your food is done but when u arrive it really is not. I think they do this so it appears to management the are getting the orders out on time. You receive the message it is ready and when you arrive it is another 35-45 minute wait. This has happened on multiple occasions and the process to report a complaint on their website is too much of a hassle ( this only happens from 4pm- till closing not breakfast) This has turned me off from going to this location at all even thou it seems to always happen on the same shift. Also the quality here is not as good as Willow Grove neither is the service. When I dine in I often have to clean the table off myself before sitting down. Willow Grove is ALWAYS clean. The manager at Willow Grove is always walking around and cleaning speaking to customers. The quality use to be better here I don't know what happened. read more

I am not a huge fan of Panera Bread - in fact I'm usually not much of a devotee to any chain restaurant. Yet somehow Panera Bread squeezed 4 stars out of me but the reason for that comes later in the review and actually doesn't have much to do with my meal there. The Panera Bread on The Fairway in Jenkintown is a large one with several dining rooms. I do like you can avoid the line and order directly on the computer. Your tracking device will let you know when your order is completed. The food is decent. I had a bread bowl of baked potato soup that was flavorful but only luke warm, and tiny. Tip - If you don't order the bread bowl but a regular bowl, you will get much more soup. My sandwich was very tasty. The blend of flavors in a roasted turkey with apple slaw and cheddar on a cranberry walnut bread was excellent .... and expensive. You have a choice of an apple or chips for a side. However what I like about this Panera Bread is that it functions as the neighborhood café in an area where there are very few if any. Nearby Penn State Abington students, businessmen or women on a coffee or late-lunch break, and a couple of groups of older women playing a game that I don't know called Mah Jong were among the customers found here relaxing, working on the computer, or socializing. This Panera Bread is big enough that there was still enough room to accommodate people seeking a table for a quick lunch or afternoon snack. Because it serves as a community gathering place, I'll give it four stars! read more

On a Monday we wanted to eat outside at 11:30am, but every table was in the hot bright sun. The tables had umbrella holes, but not a single umbrella on any table. Also tables were dirty. Disappointment continued when we tried to order. They were out of two things, so I asked for a bagel. The only bagels they had were plain and blueberry. We ordered plain. We went to find a table . However all of the tables that were available to sit were dirty----every single one! People were seated at Covid-spaced tables if the chairs were not tied down, so we did that. We stayed for 2 hours and no one came by to clean the tables or sweep the floor. Will not return. It looked like they were doing a decent take-out business. Maybe that is their only focus. read more

Randomly stopped here for a coffee and bagel on my way to work. The place was super clean and the cashier was one of the nicest people I had ever met. Would be a better rating if it wasn't for the stuff I witnessed. I have absolutely no beef with the employees or even how they conduct their preps. We are in a pandemic, things are bound to go haywire from here and there. Their food though, at least for me in regards to this location, has been consistent and great! But I just wish that the District Manager or whoever I saw chew out the dang manager for letting people temporarily use a plastic fork would get a dash of realization. I understand policy, but I think they fail to realize that we are in a pandemic. Everything is hard. And from what I overheard, which I literally think I SHOULDN'T HAVE HEARD as I am a customer and I didn't feel like listening to someone ring out a manager in the damn dining room, they're in a rough spot and apparently they knew this? I dunno. My sympathies to the managers and the employees there. read more

Panera bread is not bad. It actually has pretty healthy foods. I wouldn't mind eating this food for lunch. However, the prices are just so ridiculous. Even the pick two meal, where you get a tiny half a sandwich and a small bowl of soup was about $10 after taxes. The chicken noodle soup had like two pieces of chicken and tasted pretty watered-down. Wawa isn't very cheap either, but the chicken noodle soup is much better and it costs about the same. They have good juices and a quiet environment to do work. I guess that's what I can say about it read more

Check your bags before you leave this place! This location is so consistent with ensuring your order is INCORRECT! There is also no care when preparing orders they are sloppy and packed with no care! 2.5 stars for this location when I wrote this. I went in last night to almost nothing available. That's at 730. The girls behind the counter in their phones were not interested in our question. So we left. Called manager this morning and she could not care about our feedback. Customer Service needs to be taught. Not to compare - but watch chick fil a - they know customer service. What to be said replying to a customer is the same at every store. We went a couple doors down and so glad we did. I use Panera catering regularly to feed clients - this one branch has changed that. I am thinking of calling my Panera to let them know that!! read more

Ordered from DoorDash. They didn't have one of the cookie last we wanted, the Baja Mac & cheese was good but we asked for a bread bowl and they did not give us one. The piece of bread was just YEETED into the bag. And the icing on the cake - my bottle of lemonade I ordered is expired. Today is January 9, 2020. YuS lemonade expired December 23, 2019. This expired lemonade had gone unnoticed in their refrigerator for at least two weeks, unacceptable. My Napa Almond chicken salad sandwich was super tasty though. I love how big this venue is. I've been to a handful of Paneras and there are many different seating options at this location. Whether you're coming with a group of friends or eating alone, a business meeting or catching up with coffee there's a place for you. I have yet to discover a Panera with a bathroom larger than the size of a walk-in closet. Food recommendations? Anything, everything - I love the food at Panera. French onion soup is thicker than a typical recipe and it's delicious. Fontega Chicken panini is crunchy and savory. I didn't get introduced to Panera Bread until I lived in Montgomery County, which to me is questionable as healthier food options should be copiously available to city residents. Anyway, I adored Panera Bread the moment I was acquainted, so anytime I visit my expectations are the same--quality food and quality service. This place is pretty much consistent, however, my recent visit the chicken and wild rice soup wasn't heated all the way before serving; it was literally hot but cold towards the bottom. So, that was disappointing. I usually get the napa chicken salad sandwich which was good. The pastries are not bad either--I'm a toffee nut cookie kinda sister (lol). The morning bagels (french toast) is really not your average bagel...they are yummy! There are plenty of places to sit here, both inside and outside. I normally LOVE Panera Bread! But not at this location. I've eaten here several times because of its convenience to where I had to be, but I'll never fork over my money to this one again. And the biggest warning I can give you about this place is DON'T TAKE OUT FROM HERE. It's a huge rip off! I've taken out from this location twice, and eaten in a few times. HUGE difference in portion size! I substituted avocado for chicken, and when I took it out, I literally got 3 tiny slices of avocado. The salad in the cardboard container (it was a Pick 2) looked like a side salad. There was only a fraction of the food you get when eating in. I called the manager, who wasn't helpful or nice at all, and said he oversaw the portion and it was fine. I'm a regular at Panera in other places and this one is NOT serving correct portion sizes for take-out. I took out from this location another time and it was the same. . .poor portion size (not enough for dinner), and they left things off the order. Eating in the restaurant is OK, but take out is a complete rip off. read more

This location has become horrible! I visited on Saturday at noon. Only 2 other tables occupied, so they are not too busy, yet several tables were filthy with food scraps left behind, and in the 15 minutes I was there, the tables were still not cleaned. The thing that annoyed me the most was that they were out of potato chips! How can they be out of potato chips? Also, as several others have noted, the social skills of the staff need some serious work. read more

Hi I haven't been to Panera bread, in a while but I do know that they have some delicious and healthy foods that you can choose from. I love their grilled cheese sandwiches, broccoli and cheddar soup, and tomato soup. I would highly recommend anyone to try the tomato soup to anyone who goes there.
