Food was good, and the servers were great. A small quiet restaurant, a little more upscale and than what you'd expect from an Olive Garden. The crème brûlée was fantastic!

My husband and I had a great dinner at Via 417 in Jenkintown. The food was genuinely good, our calamari was lightly breaded (not heavy or greasy) and cooked perfectly. We also tried a chicken parm type of dish, as well as a lemony chicken pasta dish and both were really satisfying and flavorful. Service was smooth, the vibe was relaxed, and it felt like the kind of neighborhood spot you're happy to have nearby. We enjoyed it a lot and will definitely be back.

Excellent and authentic pasta dishes. I went with a group, so I got to try a lot of different dishes, and I thought all were excellent! I'll definitely be back.

This is a wonderful spot in the heart of Jenkintown. It's small, cozy, and serves really delicious food. This was my first time and it didn't disappoint. This place is a well known goto for locals so make sure you have a reservation. It's also BYOB which I always like. We started with the beet salad, Caesar salad and escargot. The beets were perfectly cooked and served with a vinaigrette over greens and fresh ricotta. The Caesar was cold, crisp and fresh with flavorful croutons. The escargot was a delightful surprise as they were paired with mushrooms and garlic butter sauce. They were tender and the sauce was heaven with the bread. Our main dishes were the pappardelle pasta over short rib and the seafood risotto. Both were very good and ample servings. The seafood was fresh and the shrimp were perfectly cooked. The servers were very helpful and pleasant. We really enjoyed our experience and we will certainly be back.

Small but mighty BYOB! Fantastic food. Will definitely return for a special occasion. Excited to try more!

Pasta Special (Pappardelle with Shrimp/Spicy Italian Sausage)

Was in the area and decided to make a reservation and stop by for dinner. We were seated swiftly at ~6:20pm on a Sunday evening (the restaurant never got too busy - we were seated pretty close to another table despite the mostly empty restaurant which was strange, though I loved sitting by the window). Our server brought our water and complimentary bread in a timely manner and went over all the specials of the day. The bread was mediocre and nothing special. We decided to order fried calamari to start as well as the chicken parm and the pasta special (pappardelle with shrimp and spicy Italian sausage in a mushroom cream sauce). The fried calamari came with some pickled peppers and was pretty disappointing; I'd skip this. As for the entrees, the chicken parm was hefty and was pretty tasty (taste was on par/standard to other Italian restaurants in Philly/Philly area). The pasta special was delicious with perfectly al dente noodles in a scrumptious cream sauce. My only complaint was that it was $42 which felt pretty steep relative to other menu items (for example, seafood risotto with mussels, shrimp, and clams is only $30). As for dessert, we finished with the tiramisu which was yummy, though again pretty standard to other Italian restaurants (it is less coffee-forward / more cream heavy). Ambiance: 4/5 Service: 5/5 Food: 3/5 * Calamari: 1/5 * Chicken Parm: 3/5 * Pasta Special: 4.5/5 * Tiramisu: 3.5/5 Value: 2/5

My bro had clams and linguine and loved it. Shrimp were perfect with crunchy bread and spectacular sauce. I love something you cannot even come close to at home. Will go back for good food, nice atmosphere and reasonable prices.

Came here this evening with my husband for a celebration dinner. Quaint Italian restaurant nestled in the heart of Jenkintown. BYOB. We were served by the owner of the restaurant. He developed the menu himself. Everything we tried was very good and presentation was beautiful. Portion sizes were relatively small. The bread could've been better because it was seriously lacking in flavor. It was just plain white sandwich bread. It would've been nice if they served Parmesan cheese with the pasta. This place really put it's energy into bringing out the flavors by carefully selecting each ingredient to ensure it blends well. We bought a gift card here to give to our friends, because we thought the main course was decent and the atmosphere was nice.

Our first time here. Definitely will be a return trip. Popular spot, definitely make a reservation. Food, service and atmosphere were all great. Fried gnocchi, cannolis, veal saltimbocca and red pepper soup are suggestions.

The chicken parm with manicotti was cooked to perfection. The cheese was ample and melted over the entire dish. The final entrees was the dinner special tomato pappardelle with Dorado and shrimp. It was flavorful and they gave a large portion. The desserts were the perfect way to end a good meal. The tres leches cake is something I would definitely recommend if they have it when you go. It's been a LONG TIME since I've been to a really good restaurant. I would argue there aren't too many around, this is clearly one of them! ANYWAY...this is a charming location with a warm and friendly set up. It's in an unexpected location but very close to the Elkins Park train station. The entry is handicap accessible but likely the bathroom is not. The floor plan is pretty open and they haven't crammed tables and chairs into the space. So the spacing between tables is very comfortable. The pastas are LOVELY. Light (even/especially the gnocchi), perfectly cooked and partnered with very interesting sauces that are beautifully seasoned and topped with very fresh ingredients. The pasta is complimented and not overwhelmed. The appetizer was creative and delicious (baked peach with burrata over asparagus). The dessert was crazy unique and felt like a delicious hug (chocolate cake with strawberry and blueberry topping-trust me it is a must!). Great place for a romantic meal or a special occasion. Their prices are pretty consistent with everyone else but the preparation and presentation are superior. I'll be back for sure!

I was a little disappointed when they told me there were no meatballs on the menu - we skipped the appetizer. The raviolis were stuffed with ricotta cheese and smothered in a rich, creamy pink vodka sauce. It was a wonderful dish. Complimenting the raviolis, we ordered another pasta dish, Pappardelle Primavera. The pappardelle, cooked perfectly, was accompanied by shrimp, mushrooms, peppers, onions and zucchini in a fresh tomato sauce. It also was a delicious dish - the shrimp were good sized and succulent and the light sauce was a good variation to the vodka sauce on the ravioli. We thoroughly enjoyed the meal and said we'll be back soon.

I made a reservation and selected that we were visiting for a celebration and wanted a regular table, not a high top. When we arrived we were escorted to the bar side of the restaurant and brought to a high top. The hostess was happy to move us to a nearby regular table when I mentioned it, which we were happy about. We started with cocktails - a white sangria and one of their signature cocktails - the orange blossom. Both were presented nicely and really good. For our apps we opted for the pizza bread with pesto and calamari. I don't like calamari much, but my bff loves it. However, I ended up having 3 pieces because it was so good. The pizza bread wasn't what I envisioned. It was a very thin, almost flatbread like texture, with a thick layer of pesto. I should have opted for the tomato topping instead. For our entrees, we did the make your own pasta dish with gnocchi, grilled chicken, peas, and a Rosa sauce, the chicken piccata, and a side of the parmesan roasted potatoes. The gnocchi was the standout here. It was pillowy, light, and so flavorful with the Rosa sauce. I could have eaten the whole thing. The chicken piccata was a little strong on the lemon side and the sauce needed to be a bit thicker. If it was served over pasta I think it would have taken it up a notch. The crispy parmesan potatoes were a hit. They were seasoned very well and delicious. They have a selection of desserts as well, but we decided to skip this time around. Our server was hustling and did a great job checking in on us. The establishment feels more like a nicer pizza place than a date night spot, but I'd go back for the gnocchi alone.

I visited for the first time (definitely won't be my last!) on Sunday evening with a few girlfriends. The area is popular due to the Keswick Theatre being nearby, so I definitely recommend a reservation. Every dish here is authentically Italian and made from scratch. It's a BYOB establishment and gives off an early 2000's Tuscan vibe. Props to our waitress, Chelsea, who didn't miss a beat. She made the dining experience so enjoyable. I was with friends that are regulars at Trevi, and she remembered what they typically order. It's clear she genuinely enjoys her job and goes above and beyond for her customers. Our group ordered a few appetizers to start - the Brussels sprouts and fried burrata ravioli were great options for vegetarians like me. The Brussels were seasoned nicely and the fried ravioli was crispy. I highly recommend the eggplant Parmesan. The eggplant was thinly sliced and breaded. I asked for spaghetti on the side and it came with the perfect amount of sauce. Chelsea also stopped by with a cheese grater and sprinkled some cheese on top. We couldn't leave without having desserts and there were plenty of those to go around. I personally couldn't wait to try the banana gelato and I was not disappointed one bit! It was thick, creamy and full of banana flavor. From the food, to the service, to the customers, everything you encounter at TreVi is wholesome. The energy inside just makes you feel at home. I look forward to dining here again soon!

I called for a reservation on Sat. afternoon for that evening. Was told to come at 5:30pm (!) because they were going to be crowded later. No additional customers came to be seated outside. A handful of customers arrived for dinner after 6pm. When we asked why we were told to arrive so early, the manager said that the kitchen gets crowded, so they have to limit the number of customers to not "overwhelm" the chef. But at 5:55pm, there were only 3 couples inside and we were outside. We think that it may have been a simple mistake, but we will never know. The second problem is that for the last two Saturdays there, they have been hosting a daycare center (?) with several kids running around pretending to water the plants, playing with the hose, etc. for over 1 1/2 hrs. The outdoor dining area was soaked. Not optimal for a Saturday evening dining with a fine wine. Also, the outdoor music speaker was broken for at least 2 weeks. No music to enjoy. Just the screaming kids. Lastly, our check listed prices that were higher than those on the menu. Normally, we would not have even paid attention. But we were so unhappy already, we asked for a menu. Perhaps we were mistaken? No. We were told that they are raising their prices, but the new menus were not yet printed. We suggested that, to avoid further confusion, they simply charge the prices that were listed on the menu. And this is where the worst insult came in for us. The manager said that if we were worried about a few dollars, then we were......(cheapskates was implied, not spoken). We didn't argue. We wished them well. For several years we have enjoyed La Piovra and before that the Trattoria Sicilian. The food is decent to very good, and the atmosphere had a relaxing, European feel. It has now turned into an active daycare on a Saturday night with an insulting, fundamentally dishonest manager. And an honest apology would have sufficed.
