I'm new to the area and decided to try out the local Panera Bread. I have been to this location several times and the customer service has been great usually. Today I went in for my usual sandwich bacon turkey bacon bravo, and the sandwich want made completely wrong. I contacted the store and spoke with store manager Sage, and she was very pleasant to deal with concerning my issue. She offered for me to come back in , and she would remake the sandwich or she could refund the sandwich by mail. Sage sincerely apologized and stated they strive for excellence when serving customers. Sage's customer service is excellent and the reason we will return to This location. read more

I like Panera in general and use to visit this restaurant frequently but recently this location has messed up too many times for me to continue to visit. Ordered a steak and white cheddar panini in the drive thru, drove 20 miles, sat down to eat then found out the sandwich didn't have any onions or horseradish sauce, over cooked meat, and hard as heck bread. I wasn't about to drive back so I ate what I had. Couldn't eat the bottom half of the bread as it was overcooked. Also, the lady at the window was taking money with gloves on and handling food. I actually saw her pick up an eat-in customer's sandwich with the dirty gloves to place it on a plate. Panera charges too much money for this crap. This is the second time they've screwed up an order in as little as seven days. They can't get any more money from me....not this location. read more

I had called when they were 20 minutes late and was told "our driver already picked it up" and that was it. When my husband asked them to give me a sandwich with no avocado I got the same sandwich back with avocado scrapings...like seriously? What if this was something I was allergic to? Panera is the nicest, most upscale addition to Jacksonville's food chain(s). As of Thanksgiving 2013, it's only been open for a couple of months, is spotlessly clean and has a modern, upscale and comfortably sophisticated feel to it. Fresh baked breads available by the loaf, sliced on demand, bagels and a moderate selection of cookies and cupcakes, sandwiches, wraps, smoothies, and coffee. Add on some highly comforting comfort food soups, and decadently rich mac'n'cheese (more alfredo than cheddar), and you have a really nice addition to local semi-fast food offerings in a comfortable, attractive interior with a nice feel of moderate sophistication with a friendly staff and watchful, attentive managers circulating frequently. At second visit, a mid-sized arrived, and disgorged a battalion of high school cheerleaders before I got out of my car, causing concern as to how long we would be delayed being in line behind them all, but staff was efficient and the line dispatched with uhh - "dispatch" and there was no real wait at all. The only negatives we have encountered in two brief visits are as others have noted: the tight circle around the building for ingress, egress and parking, and a lot of menu items that don't really lend themselves to quick drive-through service unless you have called ahead and have only to pick up your order, as the manager encouraged us to do. Though not fond of the hard crust, we otherwise loved the loaf of house-baked sourdough ($4.99), and my nearly 89 year old mother thought the mac n cheese might have been the best she'd ever tasted, and the chicken and wild rice soup "delicious", but with more sodium than high BP would allow for. All in all, we were impressed, however the way the place is situated, like a delightful little oasis tightly surrounded by an asphalt moat, with poor ingress and egress, is a pity. I'm am concerned for the lack of concern. I drank my whole cup of berry and sweet tea mix and discovered a flying bug of some kind. My husband brought it to the front to inform them. There could be other bugs in the tea, who knows, and no one will because NO ONE CHECKED. make a new brew of tea geez! I got a clean new cup. I wouldn't ask for anything else in sure they deal with whiners that want ridiculous amount of crap for little things. But I'm pretty sure the health department would frown on the lack of action taken. To act like it is no big deal and possibly normal, and respond "It might have came from the ice" does nothing to reassure me things are clean and cared for. read more

Wanted to grab some soup and a sandwich, so of course Panera came to mind. I ordered the pick two with chicken noodle soup, and a turkey sandwich plain. (Went through the drive through) i noticed after waiting in line 10 minutes that they gave me the wrong soup, so I went back and got the right kind (another 10 min of waiting)... then I went to eat my sandwich and it was wrong!! (So I went back again and waited another 10 minutes) you would think they could seem sincere about messing up but they didn't offer anything but a free cookie. Travelling for business, I met a few clients here today. I had a great experience. Location wise - it's perfect - easy to get in and out. It's new and has sufficient parking. Being a new property - it is clean and very comfortable. I was greeted by the young cashiers when I entered and had a friendly exchange with them. They were happy, attentive and helpful with my order. Business wise, it wasn't too busy in the evening so, I didn't feel badly about taking a table for a few hours. I spend a lot of time in Paneras and definitely plan to return to this one. It was a great setting for my meetings. read more

My family went to your Jacksonville North Carolina location and stood in like for 20 minutes to order. By the time we got to order they told us they stopped serving breakfast at 1100. There were no signs anywhere saying this. Also if the line weren't so long we would have made it. The menu is also very confusing on what is or isn't included in the pick two menu. We left without eating and went to a local bakery. We will not be going back to Panera again. It was a frustrating experience and the cashier was of no help. read more

Love Panera. This location is fairly clean and every time I have been here, the staff has always been super friendly and helpful. Had some difficulties with my app that I use all the time. The staff attempted to assist and when was unable to, asked the manager to help. He was extremely friendly and graciously assisted with my meal purchase. Thank you. I love panera and understand that good food isn't made as fast as actual fast food which in comparison is worse for you and absolutely disgusting. With that said I've always been satisfied with the service and food I receive from here. If you've never been it's delicious I always find the pick 2 is a great deal. My personal favorite is the chipotle chicken and then I get broccoli and cheddar soup. For my son you just can't beat Mac n cheese. read more

Panera has always been a favorite of mine, until the last year or 2. The food always seems to be good, but the last handful of times, the amount of salad given has been ridiculous. When you order a $10 salad, you expect to get at least enough lettuce. The last 2 salads I received, I had to contact the manager. In a full salad, they gave me a tiny handful of lettuce, 2 cubes of avocado, 3 strips of chicken and they forgot the bacon and eggs. The service has been way below average. No one seems to have manners. I'm never greeted at the window anymore. I get my food tossed to me and am never told goodbye or have a good day. And what upsets me most, is that tip jar! How dare thy ask for tips when they can't get an order right and have no customer service skills. I absolutely hate the tip jar and I do not think it should be there. When I have contacted management via email, they always seem nice and do what they can to make the situation better in the moment, but the situation at the store never changes. WOW. That is all I can. I am actually speechless right now. I ordered over $200 worth of food through the online catering section for an employee luncheon. I thought, OK, this is a great way to thank all of the employees for their hard work and dedication the last few months. The order was delivered right on time. I thought PERFECT!!! This could not go any better. WRONG!!! Several items were missing, several of the items that were delivered were not "complete" (ham and cheese with no cheese, etc...), and the desert that was ordered was not available (a substitution was given). The delivery person finally brought the soda about 10 minutes after everyone was finished with their lunch. I spoke with a manager who was very helpful. She begun the process of getting a refund for me. That was on 04/22. I just called Panera Customer Care and was told that the refund would take about 30 days... Yes, that's right, 30 days. They are busy as they are processing refunds for over 2,000 bakeries and cafes'. I spoke with a supervisor who could basically do nothing. I asked to speak to someone higher and was told that he would take my name but I should not expect a call as "positions" higher than the supervisor do not interact with the guests. WHAT??? So yes, I now have to wait 30 days for a refund for mistakes that others made... I guess I know where not to return. read more
