However this location seems to be more pricey in every item than other locations in Michigan. Why? Greed from the franchise owner? I don't know. I can get a dozen cookies at basically any Panera for $21.69-$21.99. How much does it cost here? $32.99. THIRTY THEEE DOLLARS. How about sandwiches? My favorite frontega chicken is $11.59-$11.79 depending on the Panera Mi location. But here? $12.29. How about the value duets? They're $6.99 at most MI locations. Awesome customer service because we went in about 15 minutes before closing and they were so nice to us even having that fact. They got the food out super quick and the Mac and cheese was utterly delightful because even it being so late it was so creamy and hot. The food is mediocre at best. Which is typical of the chain. What is really off putting here are the employees. I can't say they are outright rude, but definitely indifferent. It's obvious that they don't love their jobs and could care less if you come in or not. I think this sort of mindset comes from management. The lack of enthusiasm lies directly on management.. This is the third time I have had to call them because of missing items in my order. If you do go make sure you have plenty of time to check EVERY item. The reason I say that is because when you call back they try to turn it around on the customer. Telling me I should have checked it first. Ok no excuse there except I was on my lunch hour and I'm a hurry, but whatever. It is the employees job putting the order together to make sure all items are there. Going and getting food for everyone at work is already hard enough - especially when you're on a time Limit. I ordered our food a hour before and was scheduled to pick up at 2:50pm. I get here around 2:53 and can't find my order. When I mentioned it to the workers they then "find my order" that was NOT READY AT ALL. Your worker shrugs her shoulders and says it'll be ready in 10 mins.. Due to Covid you can't get your own coffee...so the cashier gets its for you and today I watched the cashier grab two paper cups and HOLD them with her fingers inside of the cup THEN dropped the sleeves more than once and still put them on the cup and continued to touch the inside of the cup and then put lids on after picking up sleeves off the floor and she did not wash her hands nor put gloves on...HIGHLY unsanitary!!! I enjoy Panera Food. This is not about the food. I took my mother in law, husband and maiden aunt for lunch and the line was long. We decided to use the ordering kiosks, as they weren't being used. I input our entire order (approximately $60) and went to insert my card. Nothing. Pulled in our and reinserted it 5-6x. Nothing. So I swiped it 5-6x, nothing. Now I'm trying to get help, but there is only ONE cashier with about 20 people in line. I'm trying to get help and the kiosk is nagging at me to pay... Finally got someone's attention and they disappeared. Someone finally came but the kiosk had dumped our order. FOUR TIMES the employee offered to show me how to use the kiosk. I USED THE STUPID THING JUST FINE! As my anger is boiling she finally admits that the last two kiosks haven't been working properly, refusing to take payment. THEN TAKE THEM OUT OF COMMISSION! The employee then asked if I'd like to use another kiosk or we could wait in line. I've already been there 30 mins fooling with a kiosk THAT DOESNT WORK! YOU REALLY THINK I WANT TO GET IN LINE?????? How this should have been handled: 1) Shut down kiosks that don't work (DUH!!!) 2) After determining what the difficulty was the employee should have taken us to an unused cash register and taken our order verbally. The lattes are well made, with good foam and the pumpkin one tastes wonderful with more of a roasted pumpkin flavor than Starbucks. No worries if you hunker down and study for hours here. We love Panera. This Panera was not crowded when we arrived late afternoon. Our sandwich was not made as we wanted, but it was not the fault of the kitchen. The cashier who took our order did not take our order correctly. We ordered the sandwich substituting provolone cheese instead of Swiss. Instead the cashier added provolone and charged us an extra 1.00. Her name was Rikki and she needs additional training. She doesn't seem to know what she's doing. We waited a long time for our food and we had to send the sandwich back to have it remade. Our server was happy to do so and she gave us a free cookie for our inconvenience. I have been to a lot of Panera Bread restaurants but really enjoyed my lunch here. The restaurant was clean and the service was great but what really made my visit today special was the people working there. Today when I ordered I was pleasantly greeted, at the table my food was brought correctly, and I was thanked for stopping. Each time I needed to step away from the table to refill my drink or use the restroom a waitress watched my laptop so it wasn't taken. I know these are the little things but this restaurant management is doing a great job of making sure the employees treat the customer respectfully. I will be back and I do recommend. I ordered a broccoli cheddar soup to go with a bread bowl and a french baguette, along with a few other items. I got back to my house when I realized I didn't get my soup or bread bowl but somehow they remembered the baguette. I also ordered a sliced cinnamon crunch bagel and told them not to toast it. Well they didn't listen and toasted it. Also, the cashier taking my order was very rude. I went in the next day to get my soup and the manager was also very rude. We enjoy Panera when we want something quick and somewhat healthy. The reason for only 3 stars is because this location often runs out of things. The cashiers often have frowns and barely greet you at all. Sometimes they continue their private conversation with coworkers and aren't very attentive. I've had to repeat orders because they weren't paying attention on more than one occasion. The tables aren't bussed and wiped clean quickly sometimes. Many times we've arrived and seen dishes on tables or crumbs and wet spots. I once even had to wipe one myself with napkins in order to sit down.
