Updating my review after my in-store experience today. Came in the restaurant today and had a great visit! The employees were friendly and very attentive. They greeted us when we walked up to the counter and came to help us quickly. They were kind and brightened our day! The tables were clean and the interior is super cozy. Lots of dining options and it felt open and inviting. Also, Panera's coffee will forever be my go-to! :) Had a great experience coming in the restaurant today and hope to be back soon! read more

Congrats! This is the worse Panera Bread in the country. Super slow service despite being empty and full of staff and food that was not to the standard of the chain. The soup was okay but the bread was stale! Ah-uh, Panera Bread had stale bread! Oh my. And no one seemed to care. Maybe they treat their employees as poorly as the do their customers. Two grilled cheeses and soup (one half order) and one drink $35. read more

This place is the most screwed up Panera in Columbus area. Never have this or that, and just now: 06:05pm, I bought a Cinnamon Crunch bagel, and look what I got! The one on the right is from this store, and the left pix is what it should be. Misshapen whatever it is. The MOD said well, this is how we make our Cinn Crunch Bagel. Whoaaaa really...this store 204770 has their own standard, instead of the corporate ones. Good to know. I requested a refund, and the MOD said, we're going to throw it away, but if you want you can have it for free. Do I look like someone need a charity from your business? Wordings!!! How is this entire chain even still in business?!?! POOR food. POOR service, non-existent management! I QUIT FOREVER on this place (ALL of them, since I travel)! 2 months ago I got a soufflé and coffee ($9+) ALL the soufflés were BURNED and mine had RAW bread dough! A guy who identified himself as the "regional manager" seemed quite indifferent when I took my "food" to him. "How about I get you a breakfast sandwich?" TEN MINUTES later he brought to my table a hamburger bun with a slightly warm sausage patty, half cold egg with a slice of Kraft American cheese! I took one bite, threw it out and he WATCHED ME walk out of the restaurant shaking my head! No, "I'm sorry. Can I refund your money..." NOTHING! I believe it's the Carvelli Co who owns this particular chain. I visited the store at 7:25 PM tonight. I was really wanting cinnamon crunch bagels for breakfast tomorrow. I called ahead to see if they had any baked. They said they did. I came right over and checked out the store and ordered a few bagels. The store was very clean inside and out. The bakery items looked delicious, but there wasn't much left at this time of evening. Just as I was told, there were several cinnamon bagels - my favorite! I spoke with Ken, the Team Lead, who was so friendly and helpful. He put gloves on before he got my bagels. I asked him to toast them to prep them for tomorrow. He gave me a helpful tip that maybe I should take them un-toasted because they might be hard tomorrow. He was right, of course! He offered butter pats, which were free. He put napkins and plastic knives in the bag. In the few minutes I chatted with him, I could see why he's a team lead, he was very positive, energetic and was communicating with his team. I took pictures of the store so people could see the layout. I don't typically order much from Panera, because I consider them overpriced, but I'll never stop getting the cinnamon crunch bagels! Everything was edible but it was one of those "the actual sandwich doesn't look like the commercial" type issue. I got that OVERPRICED chicken sandwich that they have and when you see the pictures in retrospect to what they advertise you'll see what I'm talking about. This sandwich is not worth $13. That almost like the price of two Popeyes or Chick Fil A sandwiches that are much better. Again it was edible and I guess healthier since it's not fried but roasted but I can't recommend ever getting it again. The squash soup was good. The kids meal was silly because other locations maybe offer flatbread pizza but this location doesn't and they just give you grilled cheese or a turkey sandwich with processed cheese and plain old white bread looking like something we should've made at home. I guess they figured since it's a kids meal, kids won't give a damn, but it was aesthetically pleasing to the eye for what we paid for it. The kitchen sink cookie was good and the brownie, chips, and fountain drinks was good as well. Customer service was choppy. Lady at the register seemed like she was going through the motions but was courteous. I asked for two orders for here and one of the orders to go but when my food was ready the kitchen staff made EVERYTHING for dine in? I ordered an apple but thought it would be slices but they gave me a whole apple. I gave it back and swapped it for more chips. I had a toddler and they gave me three different odd shaped trays which was confusing as I only have TWO ARMS. I'm not into setting food down around strangers and then walking away, getting situated, and then coming back. I looked like a circus act juggling two trays shaped like a PEANUT, two drinks, and a toddler but luckily I was able to make it happen. Bang for buck this was not it. Ordered delivery for our team at work. There was a steak and white cheddar sandwich where it looked like they forgot the steak and an apple salad without apples that it was supposed to have and with bbq sauce and tomatoes that it was NOT supposed to have. Parking is easy and available. Walked in and was welcomed by a very nice women. I asked a few questions about how I should order and was given great advice. I ordered the tuna sandwich and the new ranch salad. They were great, fresh bread, high quality vegetables. They packed my order up nice, included napkins and it was great. I used the app and did rapid pickup inside. Said ready in 10 minutes. Got there in 10 minutes and received text saying your food is ready. Great! Got home and found out the reason they were so fast is that they only filled 1/2 of the order. Drove back and then waited 10 minutes for the rest of the order. Why is my mac and cheese water, it tasted horrible and I payed like 7 dollars for that crap. Not only is the cheese like water, it taste like water too and it doesn't soak into the noodle it just sits there like a rat sitting in a puddle in the sewer. I am so disappointed and the best thing I prefer was the dang apple juice, I will never be coming back please lower your prices and up your terrible food. Hi, my family and I stopped in for breakfast at Panera Bread on Hilliard-Rome Road. This was the first time my family has been to this location, and it will be the absolute last time we go there. The young lady that took our order was a delight. The part that made this location an embarrassment was the fact that one of the managers was speaking to a couple female employees in a degrading tone. I didn't catch his name, but he was a heavier set gentleman with glasses. The fact that he thought he was on a pedestal and could talk down to another person, let alone a female, is quite disturbing. My family loves to eat at Panera's and I won't let one location and their poor taste in leadership sour our taste of other locations. I hope whoever is the top manager takes a hard look at the management there and makes some corrections because I will never refer this Panera to anyone else. read more

I like Panera but this is one of the worst ran locations. I don't see management around at all walking around or keeping an eye on things. I've been here over 3 hours eating lunch & studying, getting up multiple times to purchase coffee or different snacks. NO TABLE in this entire time has been wiped down, visibly dirty w/ crumbs, liquid stains, Ect. The back of the house employees don't read tickets correctly. Several orders were made wrong, had hair on them, or they just talk back to you when you inform them that your side is missing...I don't need you to tell me the ticket doesn't say French bread...don't you realize the side is missing?! My complains weren't even based on lack of friendliness or good customer service at 1st (experienced both lacking), but things add up & it makes the whole experience baffling. As someone who has ran multiple restaurants & has been in this business for a long time, all of this is very noticeable, I get it. BUT just as someone who visits multiple Panera locations often, it seems like this one needs some serious retraining for most employees here. read more

The drive thru is painfully slow. They're either short staffed or just terrible. The staff was friendly at least but the wait is ridiculously long to be considered "fast food" if you can't prepare food in a timely fashion then don't have a drive thru. I've been sitting for over 30 minutes in this drive thru and I still haven't even made it to the window yet. Find a different location. Other locations work it a lot better. read more

Great place for a fresh meal! The soup is always hot and very yummy! The strawberry salad with chicken is 5 stars by itself! The "everything but the kitchen sink" cookie is delicious and HUGE! Very good. Only negative thing I would say about Panera is that it is a little pricey! read more

Ordered for rapid pick up, but there is no rapid pickup at this location. There's a sign at the rapid pick up shelf that says due to so many stolen orders, you have to get in line and talk to a cashier in order to pick up your order. Completely defeats the purpose of rapid pick up. I placed my order, went inside when I got the notification my rapid pick up order was ready, but then had to wait in line inside for 10 minutes before I could get my order (1 coffee). There is a reason this location is rated poorly! Wanted to order a soufflé this morning...all marked sold out using the app. After calling the store they told me they had plenty. Nobody came out when I arrived for curbside pickup. I walked in and the manager was telling me how it wasn't her fault their inventory is not available through the app...I guess it was my fault. It's honestly unbelievable how bad this Panera is. Only came here out of desperation for food and an internet connection because the service here is always lacking. Not sure why but it took them almost 20 minutes to get a bowl of soup and a frozen coffee even though the place was basically empty. As usual, many of the tables were dirty, which stuck out to me more probably because I used to work at a different (much older) Panera in Central Ohio and I know there were much higher standards for cleanliness than this place follows. The person who took my order was friendly at least. There was no wait despite it being supper time, which probably says something about the reputation of this place. The soup was hot and tasty once I finally got it, and the frozen coffee was frozen, so at least they got that right.
