I was disappointed with my experience at Panera tonight. I thought that since it was 7:30pm on a Sunday that it wouldn't be crowded and could get my order relatively fast. So I ordered the chocolate chip cookie hot chocolate thinking it would come quickly since there was only 3 tables that had already been served their food. But time passed by and the staff kept talking among one another for a good 7 minutes before (who I presume) the manager asked if they had any orders. So they get started on mine and 10 minutes later, I finally got my hot chocolate. I did not try the drink until I got home and to my surprise it was literally just almond milk...barley any chocolate... no syrup...no marshmallows...nothing. I work in customer service and when a customer is there, you take care of them and then get back to chatting. I'm extremely disappointed in this experience and hope the staff do not handle all the orders this way because I do love going to this Panera. read more

I went to the Panera in Hamilton Marketplace today at 10:40am to get lunch before work so I went to the drive thru. There were 2 cars ahead of me. We waited for 20 minutes. The lady in front of me got out of her car to ask the lady that was at the pick up window holding up the drive thru to move so she could get out. She said her babies were crying and she needed to leave. So the 2 vehicles moved, I than moved to the window. I sat at the window for a few minutes and no one opened the window so I too left. I went down to Chick-Fil-A where I wizzed right through the drive thru and spent less money. This is not the first time I've been disappointed at this Panera location! I will not be returning! We love Panera. We go at least twice a week as a family of 4. However this location has become disappointing. The bathrooms are filthy the employees look miserable and the manager who was walking orders to tables was sweating in the food. Taken a break in hopes that management can fix this place. The service here is a joke, slowest service I've experienced anywhere in my entire lifetime anyime I come. I get to the drive thru at 6:40am before work at 7, no one else in front of me and am stuck here for 15 minutes. Ridiculous! How long does it take to pour a damn coffee. Whenever I come inside theres a huge line anytime of the day, one person working like a snail at the register while 4 other employees are just nonchalantly walking around behind the counter, they NEVER remember to give you a pickle with your dish, I ALWAYS have to ask. After waiting 17 minutes today just for the pick 2, this will be my last time coming here, this place obviously has no interest in catering to a high volume location effectively. I've worked in the marketplace for 10 years and this is the only place I loathe. I guess people must like mediocre/inadequate service if this place is still in business. read more

Just walked out of this Panera. I wanted some pastries for my kids. I walked in toward the pastries and the first thing I saw was a fly having walking all over the pastries. I though.... well just one fly then I saw another one. The girl at the register asked for my order. I informed her there were flies all over the pastries, she seemed concerned and informed the manager who was standing a few feet from her. She approached him and in a very low tone of voice told him there were flies in the pastries. He looked at her with this unconcerned expression and mumbled something. The place is like your regular Panera Bread. I go here often when I want to forget about cooking and do not do the dishes for a single lady once in a long while. I had an experience like the one Jamie described below. I am a vegetarian for a while and was once treated to a similar experience with the cheese tortellini. I told the cashier who turned out to be the manager NO MEAT, NO CHICKEN and ask him if the plate had any sort of meat. He told me no and verify the menu info booklet to confirm his words: no meat. For my surprise he forgot to tell them that I did not want any type of meat in the food. Surprise, surprise. I got home after I got home before opening the container I was smelling poultry. I inmmediatetly called the store and demanded to speak with the supervisor and I asked him did you tell the people preparing the food to not add meat just in case and did you not tell me this plate did not had any poultry? He told me he was sorry, he then proceed to tell me that I could take credit for that order, I told him no I did not want to since my plan for the night was not to cook. SO I went back to the store and they gave me correct order plus the manager asked me if I wanted something else extra free of charge e.g: pastries, drinks anything I wanted for that night. I got some pastries and a drink not going to lie about it. Now what I learned about this experience is to emphasize every time I go there and practically ask the cashier did you mark as the meal as vegetarian, no meat, no poultry, no fish...thank you very much! This I now my norm whenever I go to a restaurant after that experience which is a bit funny and annoying to some extent. Now I wish I had more vegetarian restaurants around Hamilton! read more

I prefer this location to the one at Nassau Park, even though that one is closer to my apartment. Though its a little on the pricey side, I really enjoy Paneras food, especially the You-Pick-Two deal, where you can pair half a salad/soup/sandwich together for a little meal, rather than ingesting a whole one of their mammoth sandwiches on its own and feeling like you somehow consumed a baby hippo and didnt know it. Their creamy tomato soup is AWESOME, and makes whatever sandwich youre dunking into it taste all the better. Their Greek salad also rules too, as does the Napa Almond chicken salad sandwich, but really, I have no complaints about anything on the menu. I don't know, I guess maybe its fun for me to venture out and get a nice soup and salad and people watch from a corner table behind my giant sunglasses. BONUS: Sign up in-store or online (mypanera.com) for the My Panera card. Have them swipe it when you order and every now and again you are treated to a random "surprise": a free drink or pastry, $2-5 off your order, it can be anything, and it's totally random when/if you'll get a treat. It's free to join. I've had my card since August and have already gotten 4 or 5 little surprises already! Totally fun and makes it that much more enjoyable. read more

Horrible experience. After we cleaned our own table off we sat for over 15 minutes wondering where our food was. Finally went up and "found it" sitting ignored. Soup was cold and when I picked up my sandwich-water literally ran out of it-the bread was soaked. I brought it up to the counter to be replaced which began another 15 minute wait until I got up and looked for it....left unattended on the counter. There was an employee who was delivering food -he had long braids hovering over the food and no hair net. When I finally talked to a manager she said-what do you want a free pastry? Went here today, and it was really busy! However I was able to find a place for 6 of us easily. The workers were very helpful when I changed my "to go" order to make it an order to dine in. They brought out my food for me- which I've never seen done before at a panera. Usually you have to go and get your own food. When my daughter asked for extra bread, they gladly gave it to her. On top of that, the manager gave us free cookies! All the kids were super happy, and when the kids are happy, the adults are happy. Will definitely come back to this location again! read more

I went to his location on a Saturday night and I was very disappointed. First, they didn't have cups anywhere so me and 20+ customers had to ask. Second, the iPad system took my sisters order, sent her an email saying they received the order and yet later when we went and sat down all our food came out except hers. To which the server said your waiting on one more? We told them she got an email confirmation her order went through and we showed the server. He goes back to the kitchen widow confused only to find out that they had already made the order or "started making it" which took another 20mins.. just to pour soup in a bowl and make a grilled cheese. Third, when we finally got our food which I was so excited,our soup was luke warm. I mean I don't know about you, but I like my soup hot considering that night it was cold and rainy and SOUP should be hot! My sandwich was barley a sandwich considering the the bread was miss the rest of the slice. So I had a half sandwich. Over all I should have gone to the one near Quakerbridge Mall. I wouldn't have been so disappointed but the fact I used a gift card for this crappy meal makes me more angry. Never coming back to this location. read more

Overall, this place is pretty good for "fast food". I primarily go here for the bagels and this morning was no exception. They give you a break on the baker's dozen on Tuesday mornings. Although this place has great food, it definitely has many downsides. The service here has never impressed me. Even when they aren't busy, it takes forever to get your food. I don't mind paying more for good food, but this place seems to have decreased their portions over the years. I noticed that Panera started to deliver , so since I never go inside to eat there I decided one rainy night to have an order delivered. I tried to maneuver their web site but being in the over 60 crowd I'm not so tech savvy. I called back and told them that I wanted to place a delivery order but was having trouble ( This phone call by the way originated at 6:15 pm) on their site, could they tell me what I may be missing or how I may be able to use that feature. After sometime on the phone, he could not walk me through it. I thanked him anyway and went back to the site. After fooling with the site I noticed that there is a phone number that you can call if you have trouble with the site. How nice of the manager at this location to mention that I can call them and have them help. It is now 6:53 pm. I called that number received help from a very patient young man and placed the order. The order came pretty fast and I noticed that we didn't get the baguettes for 3 of the items that we ordered. No chips with the sandwich and 2 bagels that I could not make out what they were. Bagels were stale by the way. I paid for a plain cream cheese but it was not in the bag. I called the store and the manager told me that he could send out a delivery person the next day to give me a replacement , but a credit on my charge was a no go. Company policy. Hard to believe that he could not give me a small credit for a large order, but he was willing to send out a delivery person to replace it. I called the 800 number and spoke to a person who listened to me but offered to credit my account in the way of rewards or a gift card, or better yet, a credit that would take 30 days because they were back logged. I gather by that statement that this happens a lot . I also felt that it was a good way of getting people not to take a credit but get a rewards or gift card. Needless to say, I didn't take the credit. I opted for the replacement. At this point, Panera lost my patronage and you the consumer should think about it too. Just remember, if they make an error when your in the store , you also have to wait 30 days to get your credit . If this is the company policy , and how they handle problems , I'm willing to go somewhere else where they give better customer service. The food isn't so good anyway. read more

first of all me and my daughter love Panera bread, we eat there a lot, but lately this location is becoming trashy, the girls especially have a big time attitude, if you don't like what you're doing quite its very simple, don't take your anger on customers and give them shit, that's not how it works, there is a lot of people who would love to have a job there and will do it without your shitty attitude, find yourself another job, whoever the manager is needs to step it up, don't give me your lazy ass excuses, every time you ask for something, they give you the dirty look, I'm paying for my food, its not free handout, they're always out of bread but not white bread, I mean its called Panera bread, how can you be out of bread I mean come on!!!!! and they always mess your order and its not clean work area, I mean your making food, clean it and pay attention to orders, I used to love hangout at this place but not anymore, I would drive to another location then going to this location and I live 10 minutes away from here, very disappointed read more
