I stopped into Panera Bread at Hamilton Marketplace for breakfast and found exactly what I expected, which is both a compliment and a limitation. I ordered a bacon and spinach souffle and poured myself some light roast coffee from the self serve cistern. Nothing was wrong with any of it. Nothing was especially right either. Everything landed squarely in the wide and comfortable territory of perfectly average corporate eatery. The place was clean enough to inspire no thoughts at all about cleanliness, which is ideal. The food was prepared quickly and handed over without ceremony. I took a seat in the corner and graded papers for as long as I wished, undisturbed, which may be the most valuable service this location provides. No one hurried me. No one checked in. I was allowed to exist quietly with my coffee and my red pen. The souffle tasted like a Panera souffle. The coffee tasted like Panera coffee. If you have had them before, you already know the story and the ending. Thanks to a ten dollar gift card, my breakfast cost me sixty two cents. At that price it was excellent. Had I paid full freight, I might have felt a small and private disappointment, the kind you do not share with anyone because it is not worth the effort. But I am not going to look a gift horse in the mouth when it comes to a nearly free breakfast. I signed up for the generous 4 month free trial of their coffee club which allows you a free coffee up to every 2 hours every day. After the trial ends it's about $9 a month to continue. As the closest Panera is 6 miles away and about a 10-15 minute drive it's really not convenient for me unless I drove that way on a regular basis so it's not a subscription I'll likely keep after t trial ends. After signing up I downloaded the app which also entitled me to a free pastry. I placed an order for pickup and arrived at the store in about 10 minutes. On the shelf labeled "pickup" was a bag with my name on it containing my free pastry of choice (a bear claw) and an empty cup with a lid. I filled my cup with the dark roast coffee and went in my way. Unfortunately, the coffee was not hot and did not taste freshly brewed. Perhaps I came at an off time since it was late in the afternoon and that's why. I was surprised because in the past I've enjoyed their coffee but this time it fell flat. I plan to try again tomorrow but earlier in the day. The pastry was another story. It was delicious. Anyway, for a free trial I plan to take advantage of I'll also make some purchases to try some of their other items and likely buy another bear claw at some point. Absolute disgrace. Ordered the Smokehouse BBQ Chicken sandwich on Door Dash. It came still sealed in the bag or I'd be convinced the driver ate the chicken out of it. Inconceivable that an employee there actually made this sandwich and felt that it was good enough to send out to a paying customer. Literally a couple grams of chicken on the sandwich - quite a far cry from the sandwich pictured on the app. I mean, if you're out of chicken just stop selling the freakin sandwich. This is first time i visited this location after their renovation. Let me tell you they did a great job with the new decor and open floor plan for seating(Check out the pics attached). This is a great cafe with a lot of character. Just like every other Panera, Food is prepared to order, so the drive thru is not for those who want to zip in and out. Employees that I have dealt with are polite and accommodating, especially in the event of a mistake. They got my order wrong and were able to replace my sandwich without any issues. I stop by here often nowadays because there's a Tesla supercharger conveniently located in same parking lot. Good place to hang our for 30-45 minutes while you're charing your car! read more

Panera was opened during COVID and it has the curbside pick up. I was craving their chicken noodle soup but I never ordered their family meal. I always order pick 2 when I go to Panera but I wanted to try a lot of different sandwiches and the family meal seems like a good deal. The family meal comes with a large soup which I ordered the chicken noodle soup, a side of the big French baguette, caesar salad, kid's meal grilled cheese, ham and cheese sandwich, cookies, and two specialty sandwiches. I think the amount is good for three people. The sandwiches serving are not big of a portion. I would order the meal kit again as I think it's a food deal for the price. I called the phone and waited for someone to answer because I left a wheelchair in the parking lot. Nobody answered the phone. I wanted to see if they could bring it inside so no one stole it while we were on our way back. When we left 10 minutes before and no one was there and the workers were all eating and just walking around so there was no reason to not answer the phone. I can't really speak for customer service as I usually order ahead then sit and eat while doing work, however from the interactions I've had they seem friendly. You won't believe it but I was actually at the Edison Panera prior to visiting this Panera in Hamilton, but the Edison Panera ran out of the Broccoli Cheddar soup, and I had to be in Trenton later in the day anyways. So, my BF and I willingly starved ourselves from Edison all the way to Hamilton (about 45 mins). WELL WORTH IT though! The location is so nice and new, and I love the Paneras that bring the food out to you (like this one). The service was fast and our food was warm. I can definitely call myself a regular a Panera, and I decided to visit this location with a friend when we were in the area. We both placed our orders; I used the screen, and she ordered at the register. I had ordered a 'You Pick 2' consisting of a Spicy Thai Chicken Salad as well as a Frontega Chicken Panini which I had customized with some different condiments than what comes with it. I waited quite some time for my order, probably over 10 minutes. Once I waked to the counter to pick up my order, I noticed there was absolutely no balsamic glaze which I had customized to add to it. The girl who had made my sandwich insisted that it was on there, and I would have seen it because it's a very dark brown color. I explained that to her, and she simply stared at me. In order to prevent starting an argument, I simply asked for a little cup of balsamic glaze on the side. The bad customer service continued when my friends entree took over 15 minutes to be prepared, and came out with chicken on her pasta when her order didn't even come with chicken. They ended up switching it out, and took even longer. Additionally, the baguette side that both of us had with our entrees was hard and stale. Overall our food tasted decent besides the baguette, but the terrible customer service doesn't make it worth it. I did contact Panera corporate about my issues with this location, and they reached out by giving each of us free entrees. I was never really a huge fan of Panera, but my recent experience at this location might have just changed that! I went here on a weekday for lunch with my mom. The Autumn Squash soup that I got was delicious. Sweet and creamy, and sprinkled with pumpkin seeds. Out of the sandwich options, I got the Chipotle Chicken Avocado Melt and it was also very good! To be honest, even better than I had expected! The avocado was fresh, the pulled chicken was well seasoned, and it had just the right amount of Chipotle sauce. The melt wasn't too heavy and perfect for lunch. I found the customer service at this location to be great and the staff was so friendly. Although Panera doesn't provide table service, I saw staff members making rounds when they could to dispose of trash and keep tables clean and tidy. When my mom and I got up to throw our empty plates out before exiting, a staff member quickly stopped us and took care of it. So kind! If I'm in the Hamilton area again and need a quick meal, I would gladly return here! read more

I spent 20 minutes in the drive-through line yesterday for the line to move by only one car length. It's was during my work lunch hour, so I was mad that I was stuck in that line with no way out. I left without ordering when I got to the section where the curb opens, and a driver who was two cars behind me backed out of the drive-through lane to leave as well. Another time recently, I sat at the window for 10 minutes waiting for a simple order. This place needs to get its act together because the service is way too slow. Switching to a beeper system indoors was a huge mistake because the wait times at the tables are too long as well. Even before the pandemic hit, they have tried to get by with fewer employees because they are trying to save money, but they aren't thinking of the customers' experience. Now, they are probably having trouble recruiting people because so many Americans are collecting high unemployment amounts, but this place definitely needs to focus it's time and energy on recruitment and training. The portions are way too small and skimpy. The sandwiches aren't full, and the salads are small, so I order salads from some amazing local pizza places now--they're huge and less expensive because they aren't the result of greedy pricing. The other problem is that Panera Bread in general is always discontinuing its best items, as if someone in corporate is trying to justify his or her salary by changing things up. Dumb. The cucumber salad is not fresh, and the flat bread pizzas are bland and not worth the calories or experience. Some of the salads and sandwiches are tasty, but, again, skimpy. The only items worth getting now might be a breakfast sandwich or soufflé, but only if the restaurant drive-through line is empty. Note: I used to be a regular at the Panera Bread in Moorestown. It's been years since I've been to a Panera, and my first time at this location. First impression was of tempting baked goods, and I should have just opted for some of them. But no... I had to select the seasonal turkey sandwich. On paper it sounds great, cranberry nut bread, roasted fowl, cheddar cheese and apples. For a non hoagie( or sub if you will) samich ,$10 seemed steep, but I went for it. I got it to go and was home in 5 minutes and hungrily anticipating my first bite. Until I unwrapped it and saw that somehow it was soaked with what I imagine to be juice from the apple "slaw". I ate it with no enjoyment whatsoever due to this fatal flaw. The service was average, and the layout of the restaurant is a little confusing. You see the baked goods and breakfast menu while ordering at the register, the the rest of the menu is off to one side. So if you don't know what you want you have to get out of line and walk toward the menu. Then get back into line to finally place your order. But that is a non issue at this point, I'll give my future business to places who can competently assemble a simple sandwich. read more

So disappointed. The food is what it is. It's decent, if not a little underwhelming. You get what you pay for. My concern is the black mold that is persistent around the ice chute on the fountain. I'll leave the perspective customer with this, how long does something have to sit in a moist environment for a slime of mold to grow? If the easily accessible part of the machine is dirty, what do you suppose the inside of the machine looks like? How often do you think these kids take that thing apart and really clean it...the way our health regulations require? Bring your own drink. read more

The $4 cup of Berry yogurt was sitting there to be picked up one of the staff stood around chatting with each other. Absolutely terrible customer service.
