We came here because of the amazing reviews, wanted to sit outside and got promptly greeted and sat at a table, 2 adults and 3 kids. We ordered 3 smash burgers, one Caesar salad and a side of onion rings for my youngest. The burgers had a worse meat to bread ratio than a McDonald hamburger, the onion rings completely burned, we asked for the onion rings to be redone, well that took 45 minutes and they delivered half of what was coming in with the burger. When we finally was ready to go we were billed for 4 burgers instead of 3, since i had already paid it took like an act of congress to reverse the charge and do over. And absolutely travesty of an experience and should close down until they can get the most basic things right.

The place has two different dining areas but serve up the same menu items. They also sell huckleberry items such as truffles, chocolates, taffy, jam, coffee. And hot chocolate. The gals at the registers are friendly and helpful with questions on their menu. Restrooms are well maintained and stocked, dining areas were kept tidy, and the food is delicious!! We have stopped in three different times with family on our 2-week visit out there and highly recommend it! I had their Charlie Russell and the Gobbler and both sandwiches were tasty! I also had their mocha and a handful of Huckleberry caramels!!! So, so good!!!

Surprising considering I spend half my free time eating freeze dried meals. I also used to be a chef (a LONNNG time ago). That being said we decided to grace everyone in The Block with our "Fresh out-the field" straight back from elk hunting aromas and get some food that was actually edible. I had the Alpine Melt (Fontina, prosciutto, sautéed spinach and mushrooms). Sweet Mary mother of God was it good. It was also not "have been eating stuff that is considered a war crime on your stomach type food, so this just SEEMS better" good, it would have been good if I had just got done eating a normal meal. The home made chips are awesome as well. They also had a decent selection of NA beers for weirdo teetotlers like myself. Because as much as I abstained from alcohol, I also abstain from drinking stuff that tastes like rotten piss covered potato chips which is what NA beers used to taste like (thank God for the craft NA beer craze now). So, for the folks at The Block, kudos, and you should just find a place on the menu for that thing.
