Location is a little dated but the food is always good! I am really writing this review because of the cashier who helped me. Her name is Kat and she was a delight! I am so disappointed in this Panera location. The quality of the food is so far beneath what I expected based on the prices. They are making a killing by seriously short changing the topping portions on everything they serve! I decided to take a chance and order a flat bread. Enticing to read "bring on the cheese". What cheese? I could've had 2 dominos pizzas for the price of this naan, aka flat bread. The chicken avocado sandwich?...I had to open it to see if anything was inside. To have a sandwich that tastes like anything beyond bread, you need double toppings which equates to a $17 sando! This isn't right. This location will not get more of my business. read more

Nice ppl and pretty decent food, service was welcoming and attentive. Place has a nice vibe too.

Horrible service. Waiting for 6 minutes for someone to come to counter take my order. Woman came out with attitude not one apology. There were 4 of us waiting in line. Won't be back Horrible food read more

Stopped here on my way to an appointment. The food was ok, for Panera. The service- guy at the counter was nice enough. I was going from one appointment to another, and wanted to charge my laptop and work, WHILE I ATE MY $20 LUNCH. All the wall plugs were sealed off. Closed. I get they don't want people to camp out but honestly if I am paying for an expensive lunch I should be able to use a wall plug. (Deep down, I regretted not going to Starbucks.) read more

Alright, this is my final straw. I've tried giving this location multiple tries but I'm completely over it. Every time I order the broccoli chedder soup at this location- it comes out too watery when it's supposed to be a thick soup. Gross! On top of that they give u wilted lettuce (the ones that sit in a bag for too long). Clearly they don't care. If you're looking for overpriced poor quality food with possibly a touch of food poisoning- ur in for a ride! read more

Probably the most dissatisfied, unhappy group of people I have encountered having a job. They do not greet and just give you the dead eye when they take your order. The staff in the back look just as miserable... They just yell out and don't even wish you a "good day or thank you for ordering"... I get it you are wearing a mask, but ur tone in voice says your attitude too. The star is only for the food and half the order they got wrong. This group of employees need training on customer service skills. Will not be back again. read more

I used the bathroom close to closing time, plenty of customers in the dining area before I went to the restroom I definitely had a restroom emergency. A very young and inexperienced shift manager came in 3 minutes later told me to leave, like literally get up off the toilet.. ( now) .. or she was going to call the security on me. This very inexperienced and very young girl, threatened to call the security on me because I was using the bathroom. She called the security on me.. the security guard came and talked to her. This woman needs training. She has absolutely no idea how to be a manager, doesn't know anything about customer service, have no idea that sometimes customers do use the bathroom even close to closing time, you have to allow that customer to use the restroom and finish up., BUT YOU DO NO!! force them out of the bathroom.. she needs to be demoted, and retrained! read more

Everyone is right about Panera. It's way overpriced with skimpy portions of just ok tasting food. The highlight was the little piece of baguette. The soup and salad were sad excuses for an almost $18 lunch, without a drink! I should have gone elsewhere. read more

Came in here with my friend for a quick bite to eat before the movies. It's a really good size Panera, lots of seating and little walls in between so you're not right on top of other people while enjoying your meal. It also reduces the noise control of everyones conversations. The cashier area was small, cashier was kind of nice, but felt like she didn't want to be there at all. I also liked how they had a lot of bakery items for sale as well as a little fridge up front to grab other items. I ended up getting a vegan lentil bowl, when it came out to me I noticed it was a soup.. which was weird since I ordered it under the pasta and bowls section. If it was a soup like consistency It would of been nice if they mentioned that on the menu. It was good and had flavor but wasn't was I was expecting it to be. read more

I love Panera I've gone to two different locations to always order our usual Chipotle Chicken Avocado Melt. This was the first time at this location and it was the absolute worse. When I got home and took a bite of my sandwich I literally had to check my receipt because I thought I got something else . My sandwich tasted horrible- one tiny piece of avocado and hardly any peppers . When I called to complaint I dealt with a very sweet girl who was very friendly and apologetic mentioning how she would speak manager - so I can get a store credit for the inconvenience . Little do I know within 10 minutes I had a call coming in and it was the manager Esperanza. She was completely argumentative talking in how she knows there was avocado in that sandwich. I then explained how I go to two different paneras so im quite familiar since this happens to be my to-go-to sandwich. She then was like well im calling you to let you know that I know that your sandwich had avocado and peppers because she rolled the sandwich. She then ask her employee - a guy- "hey didn't you put avocados in that sandwich" he then was like "yeah I did" . I then told her how after a long day of work and dealing with my toddlers the last thing I have is to call to get free sandwiches. She then mentioned how she knows how she coaches and trains her employees so she knows they did well. I mentioned how I go to the Alhambra Panera all the time - then said also the one in Glendale since I work by there . She had the audacity to be a smart mouth and say "I thought you just said Alhambra" completely ghetto and unprofessional. I was absolutely stunned to find how she would call to argue in how im wrong and she is right . As I attempted to call to file a complaint - I decided to come on here and realized this Panera has a reputation for these skimpy terrible sandwiches . I will definitely escalate and write and formal complaint since I did not appreciate how she called to argue with me. This now goes beyond the terrible sandwich both me and my husband received - no one should treat customers the way she did because these sandwiches aren't free! Stay away , manager is argumentative and ghetto. Can't believe how Panera can live up to having people like her working for them and calls herself a manager . read more

I like Panera bread.. but this location needs better service. Every time in order curbside and I click on the "I'm here"button.. I wait more then 5 min.. either I have to call them and tell them I'm there and I've been waiting or I have to walk myself in and get my own food. Today I ordered half chicken chipotle sandwich. I took a bite and didn't feel like I had but into chicken like usually do... I opened the sand which and was only little crumbs of chicken it! Horrrrrrrrible service. The Panera in Granada Hills on Devonshire has a manager , Ariana, who was so ruud and inconcedarate. I agree with all the negative comments about this Panera bread. I have gone to Panera Breads in other states and they are much better. I'm going to post photos of the food we received and you can see for yourself what a horrible scam this place is. We paid over $40 for this food and the salads were worse than anything you can get at the grocery store pre-made refrigerated section. And the teriyaki chicken?? WHAT IS IT?? That photo of a "cheesesteak sandwich" should speak for itself. Not only do you only get an ounce or two of meat, the sandwich was disgusting. I also ordered a cup of creamy chicken and rice soup. Not creamy at all. It tasted like dishwater. I get sick just thinking about it. The total cost for these two inedible food items was about $17.50. An incredible rip-off. I enjoyed the chipotle chicken, egg and with avocado sandwich with coffee. Perfect combo for a healthy breakfast

I'm extremely disappointed with this Panera locations customer service. Upon first arriving at 8am the seating/eating areas were extremely dirty. No one was out making sure the premises was clean. As I walked to the counter, I then waited 8-10min while two employees came to the register, looked at me and didn't say one word. No greeting, no good morning, not even a hello. Finally I ordered, and the woman who took my order was polite thankfully. I expressed to her of the poor treatment being reflected and she sincerely apologized. When my food was ready and I went to the back to retrieve it, I stood there waiting for someone to help me while the employees were at the counter with both of their backs turned to me. What's even more frustrating is that they knew I was there because I had set down the little square thing they give you that vibrates on to the counter. Needless to say it was loud enough for them to turn around and ask if I needed any help. When they eventually turned around, this is exactly what was said to me..."ma'am if you could set that in the basket and take your food it's right there." In shock i actually stopped and stared at her for a second surprised that actually spoke to a customer in that tone of voice with a demanding demeanor. I asked for extra cream cheese and she replied in a condescending tone, "umm no if you want extra it's $2.66." What sad is that I've been coming here for years, before any of these rude or poorly trained employees ever arrived. I've also been working in the customer service industry for 10 years. Each time I go somewhere to eat, the first thing I look for is the level or sincerity of customer service at that restaurant. I say that because customer service is extremely vital in running a successful business. Your simple customer service can make or break someones day and every detail counts. Wouldn't you wanna be the restaurant with the best employees with the best customer service? I'm also including this detail because when I receive significantly fabulous customer service, I try to go out of my way and make an effort to leave a good survey, review or compliment it. However that goes for when I receive extremely poor customer service literally as I walked in the door up until the time I left. I'm disappointed in Panera for hiring employees with such lack of care and consideration for the customers. Especially the customers that really love Panera. The only good thing that happened to me at this location was that my bagel was tasty. Not good enough. I expect a follow up from your support or customer relations department. read more

Some guidance for your business below. Let me know if you'd like to hire me to consult! 1. The "order pickup" area is not actually the order pickup area -- it's the ONLINE order pickup area, which customers who order from your kiosk have no way of knowing. You should call it what it is. 2. Employees who see customers standing by the ONLINE order pickup area for an extended period of time should ask what they're waiting for, rather than talking about their eye shadow. 3. Employees who complain about minimum wage being too low should actually work. 4. When your restaurant is empty, your employees should clean. See number 3 above. 5. Update to number 4: Employees are now cleaning tables. We love to see it. 6. This sandwich I ordered, while it's cold because it sat in the pickup area (not to be confused with the ONLINE pickup area), is actually tastier than I expected it to be. Kudos. 7. The unrestricted endless iced and hot coffee supply earned you a second star. I've had so much coffee I'm not even upset about my cold sandwich anymore. If we serve hot coffees and iced coffees here, why NOT serve hot breakfast sandwiches alongside iced ones? *Bonus: construct a guard gate around your restaurant. There are some prettyyy unsavory street people loitering about. I can help with this too. My gate building fees differ from my business consultancy fees. Terms and conditions apply. read more

Oh wow! I don't think I've ever been treated so rudely at a Panera Bread. To the point where I'm writing this review as the food is in front of me getting cold. The cashier could have practiced a little more customer service as he was very condescending with his responses. Whoever the young man was Friday, Oct 11th at 8:30pm. I was sadly disappointed with my meal at Panera this time and I usually love them! My mom ordered a sandwich and I got the soup to go. Unfortunately when we got home, the meal we were hoping for wasn't there. My mom's chicken salad sandwich looked awful. It had like one slice of chicken, one sad piece of lettuce and that was it pretty much. Honestly, Arby's could make a better sandwich and it was also 9$ bucks for just a half a sandwich! It's a bummer because that used to be her favorite there. I got the chicken noodle soup and it was basically broth. I had like three noodles and that was it. I'm just confused. The person at the register was incompetent and gave us misinformation about the food items. We ordered and had to return our sandwiches because they did not come out as we ordered them. The girl in the back in the kitchen that is short with glasses was rude to us, acted like she didn't care whatsoever. They told us we could eat there, but then they put our food into a to go bag. because they say d eatting there was not an option when we picked up the food. Rude, not nice at all. She did give us our money back for the sandwiches, but didn't say sorry or anything. and was obviously more concerned about closing and getting out of there than proper customer service.. Honestly the worst place to get a sandwich, and they really got me f.d up. I got there at least 30 to 35 minutes before closing, obviously they had plenty of time right. Tell me why I ordered and there was only one person ahead of me but for some reason I had to wait almost 15 to 20 min for a damn sandwich even the people after me got their food first really fast at that. Once I got my food I didn't check till I got home to find out that my sandwich was poorly made, I asked for NO TOMATO and to ADD TURKEY. They didn't do any of that, so basically it was just two think breads with ALOT of sauce and little amount of cheese and lettuce only. This Panera is in a convenient location, it's clean inside, and the staff are friendly enough. Only odd thing is that you have to pick up your own food from the counter, which is different than all the other owner breads I've been to where it is delivered to your table.
