Panera is one of our favorite restaurants to eat on lazy Sunday afternoons. First time at this Goodyear location. From the second we stepped in, place was filthy, dirty dishes on almost every table, trash bins overfilled. Cashier unwelcoming and very rude. We did not received what we had ordered. One star because the food is pretty good. Wish I could give a half star for customer service at least. Every time I go back we tell ourselves it will be a better experience. When we cater or someone gifts me a meal it's usually decent. But everrrry time I go I get let down with portion sizes. But at 9:30 pm the options are limited. So we ended up at Panera tonight after the gym. I was one hungry lady and still am......I don't even think there was a tablespoon of chicken walnut salad in my sandwich. What a bummer but once again shame on me for returning. This will definitely be the last. There was way too much feta and the tomatoes were mashed, literally mashed up like they tried to cut them with a spoon. My sandwich had 3 pieces of cheese stacked on top of each other. Food was okay. Counter service was friendly. The reason for the review is the dining room attendant was vacuuming the dining area while guest sat trying to enjoy their food. She placed the upside down tables on the bench seats, all the while listening to music on her earphones. I could kind of understand if it were close to closing time, but this was a full hour and a half beforehand. Seems highly inappropriate. Where is management? Food was so horrible. Don't know how someone can manage to mess up a grilled cheese but they found a way to. Soggy, one slice of cheese.

When I take the time to write a review...it's usually on the scale of 10 being the greatest experience or 1 being the least favorable place I'd ever experience again. I don't like writing reviews for places that meet mediocracy. Its either because the place was phenomenal or trash. Now a place can be awesome on the outside, but if my experience was one where I felt I didn't receive the value or quality for my money...believe me, my review will be here. This place deserves a review, as you can see it's on the trash scale. Let's cut to the chase and get to the details about the items I ordered and what it cost. I ordered a spicy Thai salad with chicken and a kids Mac n' cheese. Neither came with drinks, so I ordered two large teas, (one papaya green tea & one prickly pear tea). The cost was $23 and some change. I asked the cashier how much my salad cost because I didn't see a pricey salad on the menu. She replied that it was $9+ because it's a full salad. "Ok that's good to know," I thought. But when I looked inside the bag, it was a regular sized salad, not to mention the tiny Mac n' cheese cup that costed $5+ and didn't even include a drink!! Hmmm...okayyyy...hopefully it's tastes great!! So after returning home, (we went through the drive thru) I took out the salad and gave my kid the Mac n' cheese and Gogurt that came with. The Mac and cheese was white in color and tasted bland. The consistency was more watery than cheesy, therefore my kid didn't want to eat anymore than a couple of bites. Mind you, this is the "Kids Mac n' cheese" item. I started on my salad and right away felt the same way as my kid. Only picking at the crunchy toppings and edamame beans. The salad leaves tasted like they had been refrigerated for some time. The salad was not very fresh coming from a place that markets mostly salads and sandwiches?! The flavors were not phenomenal thus being trash for the cost and time I put into coming here. Which brings me to say, I really wish they'd build a Salad and Go on this side of town!! I know for a fact people would flood a place like that in this area. Why is it so hard to find a good salad in Goodyear, without walking into an establishment?! Never again Panera. read more

We ordered takeout from this location about 10 days ago. We paid nearly $50, and when we got home, 3 out of 4 orders were terrible! We basically paid for bread, as there was hardly anything on the sandwiches. We called the manager, explained, and she promised she would send credits to us. Guess what? Never arrived! I have had a few issues with this place. The other day they ran out of coffee in the carafes. I am sure they were brewing more in the back but there were numerous people with cups they just bought with no coffee to fill. When the carafes run dry they need to tell customers prior to their purchase they are brewing more. I am sure knowing this, some people would elect to not purchase a cup due to the wait. Also I went into the restroom this morning and it smelled like straight up piss. It appeared to be clean so I was kind of confused but then I looked in the urinal and it appears like they haven't changed out the deodorizer pad since the place opened. Gross! read more

By far the worst experience at this Panera. How are you going to miss a bug on my sandwich and still hand it out like that to your customers???? UNSANITARY!!!! I talked to the store manager/shift lead and she explained that it wasn't their responsibility to check the food before putting it on the line and start preparing food with it.... make that make some sense (I have voice recording of her saying that). Decided to go through the drive thru today and try breakfast here for the first time. Pull up to order and and told to "hold on for a sec" then wait for 10 min to order. Pull up to pay and wait another 8 min. Pay then wait another 5 min to be told at the window it's gonna be just a few minutes longer. My order was completely wrong and my smoothie was super thin and a bit warm. Won't be coming back. Huge disappointment read more

The chicken salad sandwich has always tasted pretty good. However, more often than not, there is more lettuce than chicken on the sandwich. Last night my sandwich was thrown together on what looked like the last 2" of a piece of hard bread with a tablespoon of chicken salad on one end of it. A third of the size I usually get when I order a 1/2 of a sandwich. So much lettuce i had to remove it to find the chicken. The bread was so hard it was falling apart. The pickles looked like someone had been chewing on them. Seriously, this was my dinner and not cheap. I got sick this week, so I ordered enough for my household. There was a gift card special, which runs through 5/31. So, I bought two gift cards. I probably wouldn't have done that if I knew the $20 in bonus money was going to be available to me later, and would only be good for one month, and that I had to use each coupon separately. I was thinking that I might go back for a sandwich some time when I feel good, or have some more soup. I ordered the 4 person soup, with 4 apples, and a full salad with double the toppings. It came out to $48 for delivery. Being sick has it's costs. The vegetable soup was mostly broth and the pepper in it agitated my throat. I struggled to get it down. My boyfriend did fine with it and he was sick as well. He was very disappointed in the lack of vegetables. There was a piece of bread that I wish I could have exchanged for something else. The salad was decent, but overpriced and I know the salads don't normally come with much other than the lettuce or greens. Once I'm able to eat bread again, I will go here and get one of the sandwiches. I did forget there was a free drink I could have taken with my order, but I've been so focused on downing water that I really don't need anything but that. Decided to try their flatbread pizza and it was terrible. The crust wasn't any better than a frozen pizza. The sauce was really strange (soupy and orangy, looked kind of like a buffalo sauce) and didn't taste like tomatoes at all. Ordering machines are horrible. Had me go all the way through my order, I inserted my CC to pay and of course it goes down! Had to restart the whole process since the order doesn't transfer over. Luckily my food was ready fairly quickly but it came out looking like crap. This was not a good experience today stopped in for dinner. The cheddar broccoli soup tasted great, but it was not even close to being hot. The half turkey sandwich was just ok. Salad was not very good at all, and the tea was well past strong. The lemonade was so so. The restaurant was very cold, obviously temperature is set to keep the cook comfortable. The person taking the order could not tell us if 3 items on the menu were good his reply was "I've never had it". Not ever returning here and I should have looked on yelp first. Wow. Has this place gone downhill. My last three visits were a comedy of errors. Six weeks ago, I visited at 10 AM on a Friday, ordered a small hot caramel latte, and then sat down with my friends. After waiting 12 minutes, I went back to the counter, where I was told that my order was given to someone else! So, I had to wait again while my latte was remade. Two weeks ago, I ordered a small hot caramel latte again and was given a large cold caramel latte. Frustrating! The server told me, "Well, this one costs more than what you paid for," as though that would make me take it. This morning, I couldn't get a small hot caramel latte because all the machines were down. I took a cup for regular coffee, but when I went to the coffee bar, the hazelnut coffee was nearly empty, and the half and half was warm. Not visiting this location ever again! read more

Just coming into this restaurant, it smelled like an old wet, dirty towel. The carpet looked so dirty! I can't believe it's been less than a year since opening. I was excited for this Panera. Don't waste your time with this Panera. I have had multiple bad experiences and don't know why i bother to come back. 2 times they have gotten my order wrong, and i haven't realized until i am already home. The manager says the best she can do is remake the food or put my name on a list to get the meal remade at a later time. So i go in and tell them Savannah said my name is on a list for a you pick 2, they tell me sorry they don't know what i'm talking about and there's nothing they can do. Panera has no option for iceberg or romaine lettuce on this sandwich (or maybe on any of its sandwiches). I'm not a fan, but I got it anyway. Prior to Panera, there was Paradise Bakery. The previous location had a wonderful staff, very competent and friendly. But when they moved across the street and got a drive thru, it went south. They don't actively listen and as a result, orders are constantly messed up. You can even send an order in from the app and they even manage to mess THOSE up. Pay attention! It's not that hard. Update 3/23/21 Staff still has a hard time paying attention to orders. They get salads wrong more than right. Hope no one has a nut allergy because if you say no nuts they don't listen and pour them all over the salad. read more

After being turned away from this location because they were "closed" we called the next closest Panera and they were open until 10 and were also surprised to hear this location was closed. I do not recommend. I have not been to a Panera in a while, and boy has the quality gone down. My husband wanted a grilled ham and cheese and they said they didn't have ham...what sandwich shop does not offer ham? I wanted to create my own salad because I didn't want a bunch of junk on it and she said I couldn't, I had to order their creations. You used to be able to look at what they had so you could see how fresh things were and tell them what you wanted on your salad. I've made two curbside pickups in the past couple weeks; both times the order was missing something or wrong. this last visit I checked prior to leaving the parking lot and realized something was missing from the order. I went inside and talked with the girl at the counter, she let me know the girl that brought my order out to me forgot to tell me part of it was sold out and she could either refund me of give me something else. I picked up something else; however, had i not gone inside to question it, nothing would have been done and my card wouldn't have been refunded the amount.
