The food was relatively fast. I was having a business meeting and it was quiet enough to have a really great meeting. I had a chai tea latte, which was good, but too sweet for my tastes. Every time I visit this Panera they have one person covering the registers. I understand during slow times this is what you would do... but on a busy Saturday morning you need more than one person serving customers at the register. Today the line was backed up to the door. My family has loved Panera Bread for a long time, but recent experiences have made us reconsider. For the past 2 times we've ordered, something was missing in the order. We let go of it for the first time, but when the same thing happened this time, my dad knew it was time to call them, and tell them about they're recent mistakes. My dad called Panera, and the employee who picked up was extremely rude. Not only that, but he hung up when we called, my tried calling about 10 or 20 more times, the same thing happened. So my dad went to the store and spoke to the manager, who was completely not aware of what was going on. In the end, we got the sandwich they forgot to add, but we hated that we had to go through all that trouble just for a missing sandwich. Overall, worst Panera experience ever. read more

My biggest issue for this location is that it is filthy. Floors, tables, and the booth back rests were nasty. This location has always been great. Service is prompt and in my years of coming here I've never had a bad experience. They keep it clean and though it has carpet it doesn't bother me here because it seems they keep it clean as well. I do prefer coming for breakfast just because for lunch I usually need something heavier. Although, when it is cold their soups are great to warm up. I noticed today that it seems now they are bringing the food to you rather than having to wait for it with the pager. That's kind of nice I guess so it's more of a restaurant feel to it. I order delivery from this location very frequently, all of the drivers have been fantastic. I ordered my lunch today and they had forgotten my coffee, (which I was not upset about at all, they get pretty busy during lunch), so I called to see if I could possibly get my coffee or if that was a pain in the butt I would just take a credit for it. Cody (the GM) answered my call promptly and let me know that he would have my coffee delivered. Not too long passed by and Cody himself brought my coffee and apologized. He also told me to ask for him next time I stopped by, it made me feel really great that he went out of his way even though I was not upset by the matter at all. I have been a fan of Panera since living in St. Louis when it was still called the St. Louis Bread Company. I have spent a lot of money on food and pastries at Paneras all over the country. I have watched the changes over two buyouts and trying to appeal to a younger audience with menu items like quinoa bowls. All of that would be fine if the food were still edible, but it isn't. On my last trip to this location (and I do mean last and final, because after 10 years of frequenting it, I doubt I'll be back) the Greek lemon soup was curdled, the frozen orange lemonade was a tasteless pale liquid with white crushed ice floating in it, and the toasted cheese sandwich had burnt cheese hanging out of barely toasted bread. The cherry pastry that I saved to eat the next morning was a total disaster, completely under baked and inedible. Some people have complained about the high prices and small portions. That would be somewhat acceptable for fresh food that was edible. But when you can't even eat your meal, that is a truly sad end to an era. read more

They had one girl at the front who appeared to be new and one gentleman watching her I was eighth in line and during that 20 minutes they waited on two customers. This Panera was a big disappointment- they are out of avocados and they are located right next to a Kroger - the largest food retailer in America. I suggested to the cashier they might consider going next door to buy some, she was indifferent to my plight then I nicely ask could she discount the sandwich since they were out of one of the 3 ingredients on the menu board and she laughed and said no so I had to downgrade my sandwich choice. Don't use their online order process, they screw up your order, you try and call to have them correct (that is after you get all the home and don't have the order you placed) and the moron MGR wants to argue with you over a stupid salad missing from the order (really mr Mgr someone is going to rip you off over a salad). There's plenty of other places to frequent in and around this area, versus a place that lacks service and accuracy (oh by the way, the receipt even states "accuracy matters" on it....go figure). read more

This Panera was extremely busy during lunch time, but that didn't stop them from providing excellent customer service. I wanted a Roasted Turkey, Avocado BLT, but the cashier told me that the avocados this morning turned out hard and recommended me the Chicken Frontega BLT, which was a delicious alternative. It seems that this location has listened to the reviews on here, there is a new manager and she is WONDERFUL. I went there today and asked the girl at the counter if they still had any white cheddar steak panini's (my fave) and she said no. However, the manager overheard and informed me that she could have the kitchen cook almost the same thing (just regular onions grilled instead of caramelized.) Its little things like that which makes a place worth going to on a regular basis. Maybe I caught them at a slow time (hardly anyone was there because of the snow) but even when I've been there on super busy days, my orders have been ready super fast, even when I order food for some of my coworkers as well. Sweets look appetizing and hard to turn down. The salad, sandwich, soup combos are terrific. Outside seating under the shade is also well spaced out and plentiful. I like eating at Panera but this one isn't worth it. It is constantly busy so parking and finding a place to sit is a chore but would be worth it if they made it worthwhile. I went there for lunch they were out of avocados and shrimp. Went back a week later they put black avocados on my salad, and ran out of baguettes and dinner rolls. I hate that I tried a salad I liked and can't rely on getting that same salad again at this location that's close to my work. Where do I start on how unsatisfied I was when I ate here. When you think of Panera Bread you usually think of quality food with a reasonable price. However to think that a half a sandwich that is the size of my four fingers should cause six dollars and that's not it for the whole sandwich it would have been 10 dollars isn't that outrageous. Like seriously it was bite size. What are you putting in your food that makes so expensive, what does it have gold filling or gold shaving? That's not it, we were so unsatisfied that we had to go around the corner and buy a rotisserie chicken for 5 bucks that's left us more satisfied then a meal itself! My family and I are big supporters of Panera, however, not this particular one. The parking lot was dark, none of the staff acknowledged us as we stepped up to the counter to place our order (we were the only customers there) and the restaurant was filthy from my feet sticking to the floor, food and dark spots all over to the bathroom having toilet paper all over the floor and the garbage can overflowing. I'll preface this by saying I live right outside Chicago. I have noticed that what they say about the south is true, being that it is a slower pace. It's almost understood. Okay, so there was one lady taking orders and at least 8 people in line. Absolutely no sense of urgency, everyone is taking their time. Literally took me 10 minutes to place my order. In a way it's refreshing that people aren't sighing, looking at their watches and throwing a fit over the wait. People were actually content, smiling. Wow. Place my order and wait...seems like an eternity. Food was good but my cookie was forgotten :(. Standard panera food. Very pleasant service.
