This Panera bread has the best cinnamon crunch bagels! This Panera location is right by my church so I love stopping by here to grab a bagel and a drink. The staff is always friendly and there is never an issue with parking! For some reason this locations bagels are so delicious and fluffy. The only downfall is the charged lemonades don't mix in the machine so the sugar is separated from the drink and just looks kind of gross. This isn't a issue for me though since I like the ice coffee also but it would be nice if they fixed there machine! Nevertheless I love this Panera bread! read more

Once again we found ourselves returning home after running some errands; decided to find a place for a relatively quick lunch; allowed our grandson to help choose. Also decided to order on the app rather than venture inside. App is excellent! It's easy to navigate and order, loads quickly, allows you to review your order at every step. Food was delivered curbside by a very, very congenial wait person. (Truly sorry we didn't ask her name.) I particularly liked the calories noted beside the items on the app. App also includes quick links to ingredients and possible allergens. This feature is very important to people on restricted diets. Kudos, Panera! Soups were hot and tasty, tomato was creamy and 10-Vegetable Soup was very nicely seasoned. Sandwiches were up-to-par as in the past with generous fillings. Free dessert with first use of the app. (Another nice touch!) And, as always, a "chunk" of crusty, yet tender and flavorful French baguette was included for each of us. Pull up to signs in fire lane (!?!) for Curbside (as per signage) or pull into one of the designated and numbered parking spaces in the general lot near the entrance or order right at one of the outside tables using the app. Now, that's pretty cool. This Panera Bread is located directly on Mallory Lane, within the Kroger shopping plaza. It is slightly tucked away as it sits in the corner of the complex, but this makes parking a little easier on those busy lunch afternoons. From the outside this location looks way larger than it actually is, so it can get packed fairly easily in the afternoons, so if you are in a rush on lunch, may not be the best spot. However, to alleviate some of this traffic and speed it up, this location has recently implemented the self-serve order terminals. They have three of them near the registers and I will say this did help keep lines down during the lunch rush. The process is the same, once you order and pay, they call your name at the window to come get your food...and off you go. Food at Panera is standard, over the years they have taken a few of my favorite things off the menu (bring that chipotle chicken sandwich back please!), but I am grateful that the tomato soup is here to stay, hopefully forever. This location is a tad dingier and less kept than other locations. The drink station had multiple drink options out, missing lids and drink spills, while the other serving stations were equally disheveled. Overall, it is a fine place to go for lunch or a quick serve light bite for dinner. read more

Panera is always the go-to when your in a hurry or need to meet someone to chat. The food is consistently good, not great but at least you know what you are getting. I have had many of there sandwiches and pastas which I have all enjoyed. But the real reason I go to Panera is for their cinnamon crunch bagel and honey walnut cream cheese..... Some may say its dessert while others consider it breakfast. Whatever you consider it you cant deny it isnt absolutely delicious. I also like to get a chocolate chip muffin top to really finish off the sweet tooth. Two bagels, a muffin top, and a coffee came to just under $10 so thats a pretty affordable breakfast that comes out quickly. As a lifelong Panera fan, I'm incredibly bummed that I've had only genuinely terrible experiences at this location. Today's visit was no exception and in the end, I never even received my food and have decided I will not be returning. I put in a to-go order for a salad around 11 am, thinking I could swing by to pick it up on my way back from picking the dog up at the groomer. The app noted that the order wouldn't be ready until 11:35, which I thought was a pretty steep wait time for a salad, but given that I had errands to run before picking up my food, thought timing would work out fine. I arrived at 11:30 and noticed that the app indicated my order hadn't been even started being prepared. I took the dog to on a mini walk in the parking lot to kill time as I continued to wait. By 11:45, I was fed up with waiting and decided to stand in line (another 10 minute wait) to ask someone to just cancel and refund my order. This then involved another long wait as the girl at the register needed help figuring out how to do it, but they finally were able to let me know I'll receive a refund in 2-3 days. The girl at the counter didn't offer a clear explanation as to why I waited so long, so I asked to speak to a manager and she said I would need to wait for that as well. It was time thoroughly waisted as the manager seemed to lack any contrition or explanation for having to wait so long for such a simple order. He seemed annoyed that I was even asking for his time, a mood that honestly turned me off from ever returning to this location. I have honestly never been to this location and received an order in a timely fashion, no matter what time I arrive and order. The manager's lack of empathy or even a sense of being sorry really turned me off from thinking this location remotely cares about its customers. More significantly, this location is just gross. Most employees wear their masks as chin diapers (under their nose) and on a past visit, while waiting 30 min for an egg and cheese bagel, I witnessed an employee that was making food wipe his nose aggressively on the back of his hand and not replace his gloves or wash his hands until I told another employee how much it grossed me out... only to later witness the employee I had confided (who was also preparing food) wipe their hand on their sweaty forehead. So in sum, if you want an obscene wait, bad customer service, and potentially germy food, please go here! If you want a normal Panera experience, please take the 15 minute drive to the very pleasant Brentwood location on Old Hickory. read more

First, the young man who took our order was very kind so I have nothing bad to say about the service andddd the food was decent too. The restaurant was completely filthy though. I really like to give places second chances, and give them a chance to talk through issues before I write a review. Tonight was the second time I've had an issue with a delivery order and no one ever answers the phone. (first time was when items were left off my order). My husband and our two young daughters went Panera on Mallory lane a few nights ago at 6:15pm and while we were ordering food, the young gentleman taking our order seemed bothered and had his head down the entire time. After we ordered we noticed that two sections of the store seating were blocked with multiple chairs, since we weren't able to find a table for four, we asked why it was blocked off, the guy said, we try to clean areas up early so we're not here all night (they don't close until 9pm) so we moved the chairs and sat in open seating (they were blocking folks in another section from getting out as well) I also heard what sounded like the Manager telling them to make sure and keep people out of that room. While we were eating we overheard the same kid turning multiple customers away telling them that the wait was going to be over 45 minutes so they might not want to wait and should eat somewhere else. read more

I have loved Panera since I was a young chap but recently they have been slacking very badly. I just ordered a Chipotle Avocado melt and they didn't even put avocado in it and there's barely any chicken. It's 90% bread. IMHO I always feel like Panera's are mediocre at best. Today was out of the ordinary good. They were pretty busy. I bet we were about 10-12 people deep when we arrived on a Saturday afternoon. There were 2 of 4 kiosks available so we decided to use those. It was overall pretty user friendly! The food and drinks came out pretty quick for how busy they were. Seating was easy to find... I went to the bathroom to wash my hands before eating and the womens restroom was kind of a wreck. An employee came in to use the facility and picked up a couple paper towels that were littering the floor around the full bin. Overall that didn't damper my experience b/c my broccoli cheddar soup/baguette, and smoothie were awesome (and as I mentioned, came out pretty quick). They had a staff member tending to sections where you leave your dishes, b/c they were piling up fast. Especially being a busy Saturday. Overall good job Panera! It's much better than I remember! One thing to note it's still pretty expensive for what it is. I got a small CUP of soup, and smoothie and it was over $10. Not going to be the norm for me! :) read more

The cup of soup was less then half full and the chicken Caesar salad was full of the hard spine which was not fit to eat and I counted 2 pieces of chicken in one salad and 4 small pieces not the normal slices in the other. Let's be realistic. This place is absolute and utter crap. A typical over priced under quality chain restaurant piece of garbage. There is not a good value anywhere to be found, service is nearly nonexistent, and even though they want to rip people off and I'm more concerned about making a profit in providing good quality, good value or good service. It cost nothing for employees to be pleasant and they still can't do that, I can't imagine anyone in their right mind going to this Panera or any Panera. The food was the usual deliciousness except the ham sandwich was drowning in mustard. The people making sandwiches were yelling and I mean yelling stupid things to each other. Dining in there was miserable. The floor was dirty, the tables were all dirty, every one of them. Food all over the floor around the tables too. No one was cleaning anything and this was at 2 in the afternoon. The restrooms were awful. Not clean at all. Even the soap dispenser was covered in muck. The Mens room had one toilet and one urinal. The toilet was piled full of excrement and toilet paper to the rim of the seat. My husband just came back out without using it, it was so bad in there.
