Ordered curbside pickup online. Nothing complicated, 4 bagels, 2 croissants. One hour later the order still isn't later. I go ahead and leave to pick it up thinking surely after another 20 minute drive, it will be ready. Nope. I pull up, and wait another 15 minutes. Finally, I walked in. Three booths with customers. No one at the counter. I wait another five minutes. Finally finding someone, asked about my order. Turns out, my order was ready. They just never completed it in the system. It's a Panera - it's pretty predictable and pretty much the same experience everywhere. I got the Green Goddess salad at the recommendation of the cashier. It came out pretty quickly and was REALLY good - produce was top notch and FRESH. Tables needed to be cleaned - it wasn't very busy but it was hard to find a clean spot. I didn't see anyone out bussing. WiFi was spotty. Cashier was VERY friendly and didn't make me feel stupid for asking questions/trying to decide what to have. Would love to give it a big fat "0." Place was filthy; tables dirty! The person at the counter when asked if we could get a flatbread just state "no" without any clarification. Went to get ice tea and both containers were empty. I asked if they would make some and 45 minutes later, none to be seen. I have always gone to Panera when traveling but this one is the worst with horrific service and 0 for cleanliness! Even the pastry section was discusting! I usually do not post negative reviews, but this location was completely disgusting. I wish I could give zero stars. I ordered a pick two and a drink. While I was waiting on my food to be made I got my drink of green tea and took a big gulp and it tasted very off. I went to the dispenser and was completely shocked to find some sort of mold or algae in the tank. It was very visible to the eye! It looked like a dirty fish tank. I also took pictures. I was immediately disgusted! I quietly called the manager over and she was shocked and said it wasn't normal. I was concerned about getting sick since I had a 6 hour drive home. She said she didn't know if it would make me sick but offered me a new cup!?! I was so grossed out I threw away my food as well. There is no way that tank was cleaned for weeks. And she said it was supposed to be cleaned daily. I have no idea how they haven't been closed down by the health department? I read other reviews and it looks like this is an ongoing issue. On top of that three hours into my trip I started to feel ill and I'm continuing not to feel well. Absolutely awful service. They hardly ever have any to go orders ready. They are understaffed often. There's one employee, Suzanne who busts her ass but that's about it. It is by far the trashiest, outdated Panera's. The exterior lights don't work at night so you won't feel safe coming here at night. If you are in a rush, do not come here. I mean, it was terrible. Hands down, the worst Panera I've ever been to. We stopped in to get a bite to eat and get out of the car during a road trip, thinking Panera would be a safe bet. It was about 3 pm and sparsely crowded. Our order was simple, three broccoli cheddar soup's, a Mediterranean bowl and kids Mac n cheese. We sat down with our pager, and waited while passing the time talking. I began hearing tables around us loudly complaining about their wait, and realize that they were there before us. After a solid 10 minutes, I walked up to see what was going on. At that point, the kids mac & cheese and soups were given to me, and I was told my Mediterranean bowl would be two minutes. Very long story short, 10 minutes later it still wasn't ready, then when it came out they gave it to someone else who had ordered something completely different, she ended up bringing it back as I was complaining that I still hadn't received it, and I was so hungry I ate it even though another person had taken it to their table. Yeah, it was just a miserable experience. All the while, about 90% of the other customers there were up and complaining that either their food hadn't come out or had come out incorrectly. Overpriced and under-served! My friend and I went through the drive through and ordered " you pick two" - a great way for this fast food restaurant to rip customers off. In return, we received a poorly made "Greek" salad missing feta cheese and pepperoncinis. That's not a Greek salad. That's a salad I can throw together at home. Then the hot cups of soup-- (tasted good) but both soups put in the same bag with the "cold" salads were placed in sideways! Leaking out (of course!) and enough leaked out to cause a wet mess. Also French bread just tossed unwrapped in the bag, now also wet from soup. All this for "only" $24.85! What's worse was the assistant manager's attitude when I called back about it. Just a " I'm sorry you had that experience"... Guess what, so am I. Sorry enough that I won't be returning to your sorry restaurant. What really aggravates me is giving bad reviews, but it seems like the "pandemic" has just given many restaurants carte blanche to give bad service and low quality while overcharging. If a restaurant doesn't have all the ingredients, at least inform the customer and give them the choice. It's the right thing to do. As far as Panera bread prices go, they really think too highly of their generic, and very overpriced food. I visited the Panera store near Florence and found it to be the dirtiest Panera I have ever seen. The bathrooms were worst than any crappy truck stop. The stations where you drop off your dishes were covered with splashes of dried food. The drink station had a constant drip and left the floor wet and sticky. The dinning area had no clean tables. The concept seems inviting, but it ends there. The first time I went the employee could not answer the first question about the menu and items on it. I left without ordering. The second time I ordered the vanilla cinnamon bun and a cup of water. It would have been nice if your employee had at least warmed it, being that the price was around $6 just for that. I could stay home and eat a cold one and save the $6 you charged. But then again when you hear about the low pay food service workers receive, I suppose you get just exactly what you pay for. read more

Hubs and I normally love Panera Bread. This one in Florence,SC NEEDS MUCH IMPROVEMENT. COUNTER guy was friendly but didn't even ask about my rewards card. There was NO clean table - had to ask twice for someone to clean a table. After waiting 2-3 minutes , a young man came out with a wet rag- did a half - baked job of wiping a few tables- never smiled or apologized or offered "you are welcome" to our "thank-you". . We continued to brush leftover crumbs from the table and sat down. We went to pick up food . Hub's bowl of soup was half- full. My salad was dripping in salad dressing. . The floor appeared clean. The order was mostly correct but my bread was not the kind that normally accompanied a green salad. No smiles or common terms of courtesy were uttered by any of the employees . Don't know if we will be back. Employees need training and there needs to be a regular person to buss tables. Also umbrellas need to be installed on the outdoor tables- All of them are in direct sun. read more

I ordered a coffee and a Blueberry Babel, so I grab my food and got back on 95. I smelled cinnamon and when opened the bag that's what I found, a cinnamon swirl bagel. I've read the bad reviews but since we were determined to get Panera we just decided on this location. Thought it better to go inside rather than the order ahead or drive thru. It was 12pm, lunchtime when we went. This is a busy location, the line was quick and got our order in like 5 minutes. Everything was correct even our drinks. Wasn't bad like others have commented. Never received an email confirmation so I could let them know I arrived, so the sign offers a phone # to let a staff member know you are waiting. Called and no one picked up. Went in to find my order my sitting in a rapid order bid. Gapped the bag and left. What a disappointment. Ice tea was not in my bag, nor was there any indication on the bag it was not in it. There wasn't an empty cup next o the bag. Noe for the turkey chili. The taste was off. As if it was old/stale. Not to mention it had corn in it as a filler. Look if you do not sell a lot of soup at this location, then monitor carefully. Why continue to serve something that is offensive in taste and quality. The restaurant's general manager - Marsha did a superb job ensuring that her staff met the needs of my wife and I while ordering and eating lunch there. They said all we have is this other one so I looked at it and it looked pretty sad so I said no thank you I'll have the breakfast sandwich with an over easy egg. They said OK. I said I would like a hot coffee. They said Our hot coffee machine is broken, you had to have everything cold. So I just got ice water. When I got the sandwich it was egg white only and I went back and talked to them about it and they said oh that's all we have. So no hot coffee, no real eggs, and no soufflé. I got my money back. I had to go and ask them to clean some off and that took about 5 minutes for them to do!! Then I tried another day this week and it was horrible! My order was made incorrectly, they charged my friend an extra $1.20 to get a slice of American cheese instead of cheddar cheese on the sandwich, my salad greens were wilted and one of the employees was in the hall by pick-up making out with her boyfriend!
