Our attempt to order carry-out here was totally disastrous. We placed an order over the phone about 15 minutes before we arrived. When we got to the cafe we were told the order was almost ready but in fact no one had started working on it. We waited for 15 more minutes only to find out everyone had forgotten about our order and still no one had started working on it. I think this is a management issue--people had no idea what was going on. When we had to leave without our food they didn't even apologize and still charged us for our coffee. read more

Very small portions for the prices. The chicken with wild rice soup watery and no flavor. The Napa chicken almond salad was a tiny scoop, lots of onion and lettuce and no mayo. Pastries were dry and old tasting, especially the brownie. The first cashier Jayalee was kinda rude, didn't smile and gave me the wrong pastry. She also said you didn't have the panera rewards card. This was the worst experience ordered our food an hour ago online half the order was forgotten and no it was not a new person making it...

The last three times that I ordered online have been subpar. Two of the orders they couldn't fill correctly because of lack of items. I accommodate what they have and it's fine. The last time (yesterday) I show up and I'm waiting there and nobody says anything to me indicating that my order is waiting. I'm sitting there and they don't say anything and I see an order on their counter. I ask if it's mine and it is. Great. I get home and the order doesn't quite match what I put in the online order. It's a bit annoying to have issues every single time. The convenience of ordering online is somewhat counteracted by the lack of good service. read more

Panera has gone way down in there food no I do not like that I have to get my own food. NO Customer service what so ever. Its like going to a fast food drive in resturant.. I went there with a girlfriend a couple of days ago and ordered a salad. It was the worst either of us has ever had. The lettuce was brown and look like it was days old. The dressing had no flavor and we had to (ask), I should say get up and go to the cooks for more dressing as it was extremely dry. They gave us bread and butter but did not give us a knife. Super disappointing experience. I was craving the spicy Thai chicken salad for days, so today I finally ordered one for take out. Got it home and was very excited to dive in. Nothing was in it except for lettuce, literally 1 slice of chicken, wonton strips and dressing. None of the veggies or garnishes. No bell peppers, edamame, carrots, cilantro, almonds, peanut sauce, NOTHING. It's like they dumped the bag of lettuce in a plastic bowl and that was that. Kinda wonder if I'm just too snobby? I have heard rave reviews about this place, but OMG...I am on a limited meal plan for health reasons and thought I would be exercising a prudent choice by selecting a large bowl of chicken noodle soup and a glass of water. Not only was there very little soup in a hella large bowl but it tasted worse than PROGRESSO or CAMPBELL'S and it was extremely salty. I paid (with tip) $8 for this ridiculous "soup". Ordered take out.. Clasic salad and onion soup. My daughter had half steak sAnd. and aoup combo. Upon arrival 30 minutes, they hadnt started filling the order. For me, the onion soup was hideous. Like it had cooked down for days. Almost no onions and they thre a pinch of grated cheese with the krutons.. What a joke. I could only get 2 spoon fulls down. The salad was fair, but i guess you never get what the picture looks like. My dayghters soup was fair also, needed something. But the biggest dissapointment was the steak sandwich. It literally had only 2 small pieces of steak ( .5 x 1.5 inch). The look in her face when she bit into it was WOW.. It was sooo bad she literally spit it out and ran to the sink to wash out the taste. This waz my second visit to PAnera restaurant. The last time was several years ago. They REFUSED to not put mustard on one of their aignature sandwicheS.. With todays experience,,, never again.. Today our service was great until we got our food I had a turkey avocado blt which didn't have the avocado, but that was okay because I was notified when ordering, but then I notice my sandwich didn't have no turkey! I like Panara a lot. But this one in Fairfield has been out of a significant variety of food the last two trips. Today they were out of roasted chicken, chicken salad, a rug ala, and t by en after we ordered and waited a bit, They came out and told us they were out of the salad that my wife ordered. And then they have to get the manager to refund my money and she couldn't figure out how to print a refunded receipt so I don't have proof we are getting our refund. read more

Panera management at this location needs to be better at follow up. I placed a catering order over the phone, with three different people. On the day of event, utensils, napkins, & plates needed for the the meals were not provided for. Good thing I had extras hand because I did not have time to deal with this. I also found out that I might've been entitled to gift cards for my large order. When I followed up a few days later, something that I don't think I should have had to do, I placed two calls to discuss the lack of supplies. I left 2 messages for a manager to return my calls, both of which were ignored. I wanted to discuss with a manager why, when I placed my phone order, it was not discussed about large orders that I could be entitled to complimentary gift cards. Panera management, regardless if you're busy, you still owe it to phone customers to follow up on the level of service the customers receive. You definitely will be at the bottom of my list for future events!! read more

Horrible customer service. Ordered rapid pick up, got home and discovered an item was missing. Called store back multiple times and no one picked up phone. Called main company customer service line, left complaint with live person at corporate. No one ever contacted me via email or phone. Fast forward months later, dined in tonight. Again incompetence and lack of customer service and follow thru. Mentioned to cashier what happened last time. After I told her that when I called back, no one ever picked up the phone she asked me what time I called back. I said it was around 8 pm, right after I discovered my item was missing. Ordered dinner for take out Saturday night at 8:15pm. They were out of most things. We ordered and paid $43.75 for a whole salad, a half salad, three soups and a sandwich. When we got home they didn't put our $9.50 sandwich in the bag and the two French onion soups had no cheese on top. I called repeatedly at 8:45pm with two no answers and a hang up because although their business hours say they close at 9:00pm I guess service ends at 8:45pm. Panera's food is so fresh. I love the atmosphere when I walk in, everyone is friendly. At lunch time the lines can be a tad long but that's expected when one is eating at a good reputable restaurant. I like that they have the sweet section where you can curve every taste bud. read more

Waited an hour for our call-in order!** Called in my dinner last night at 5:50 PM. Arrived at Panera and paid for the meals right after 6 (she said it would take 20 min...). Other customers walked in and received their food before me! Finally 35 minutes later, I asked for the manager. She made excuses that people were new...they were slammed. People came in after me and got their items before me - BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE. The nicest lady there was the food runner...she handed us free cookies because we had to wait an hour for our food. Type of Visit: This was a family visit with my son. He had the mac & cheese that he loves so much with a yogurt pack. I have a turkey bacon sandwich with the bread roll and a low fat smoothie. We ate in the facility. Details: I found the tables to be somewhat clean, not as clean as I had hoped but not dirty enough where I would leave. Same goes with the chairs and benches. The high chair was clean and fully functional for my son. The food was delivered fast and made as directed. Overall, I come back here often because the food isnt full of sugar, somewhat healthy and the proportions are just right. I just had to avoid the urge to get a $.99 pastry with the order, as that is diabetes in a bag. Bread is fantastic. Overall, great food, fast, and a decent environment. Rating: I give it a 3 out of 5 stars because of the mixed cleanliness and let's face it, its a fast casual. 4-5 stars are for perfect fast casuals or high end restaurants. Suggestions: It would be nice if they had wipes and a stick on kids mat like they do at chick-fil-a. This plus improved cleanliness in the dining area and bathrooms would warrant 4 stars. read more
