I scored a booth and enjoyed a restful 17 minute lunch break before zipping back to my work site- thankfully, with the lost debit card in hand! Plenty of free parking. In and out in a flash. We go to Panera almost once a week and their food is really fresh and delicious. One day we did take out and I ordered my favorite wild rice and chicken soup. When I got home, I was looking forward to a creamy thick soup as usual and it was so watered down it was pathetic. If you're going to run out of soup, let it run out. I came to this Panera Bread to get some work done. This is a great place to do this. The cafe was nice and quiet with just enough noise so that I didn't feel alone. I ordered a kitchen sink cookie and a strawberry smoothie. Both hit the spot. They were out of some items because of a menu change on April 1st. The manager was very accommodating when I ordered items that they didn't have. The restaurant was clean and inviting. I look forward to coming back and trying their new menu items. Stopped in on my lunch break, hoping for a quick bite and the food line was just going by extremely slow. It was a Saturday and very quiet but the employees just spent time talking, checking out their reflections , and making jokes. I found it inconsiderate of everyone's time. Stop by Panera since our truck was getting serviced at Volkswagen dealership next door almost. My son ordered a broccoli cheddar bowl and they only fill it up half way. They barely removed any dough inside and then the small amount of soup for the price is not justified. I got a you pick two with a broccoli cheddar soup and a bacon turkey bravo. The sip club now you wait for your turn for your cup from the food preparers so waited literally 8 minutes for coffee. The time to get the meals took nearly 10 minutes. Two years later and they still are putting the salad dressing container inside of the container with your salad. Oh and it's not even a full serving of dressing! This time I ordered via DoorDash. I ordered the BBQ Chicken salad and was disappointed. My lettuce was mostly the hearts of the romaine, not the actual lettuce. After picking those out, I wasn't left with much. Just the worst experience I've had here.. I came in around 7:30am and waited in line to use the kiosk to order as none of the employees would come to the register to help assist with orders. Then after ordering one soufflé, that's already prepared and sitting on a warmer by the other bakery items, I had to wait a good 15 minutes before the lady behind the counter even acknowledged me standing there. She rudely asked what I was waiting for and then checked her computer and asked my last name again and finally walked over to get the soufflé. She rudely asked if I was dining in or taking out and when I said I was staying she slapped the food on a plate and only gave me a fork and put the plate on the counter and proceeded to walk away. I then had to wave down another employee to ask for a knife so I could eat my soufflé like a civilized person. Overall experience was awful. Soufflé was cold. I haven't been to any Panera restaurants in a while and definitely will not be coming back to this one. Panera has really gone down hill with service and quality. The food is good, but I order the hibiscus iced tea (small) and told they didn't have regular lids without a large open space at the top. My white shirt did suffer a bit, but came clean. Also, while I understand sharing with Starbucks means parking is hard to come by, the parking lot is ALWAYS full, regardless of what time I've come. First off, morning staff has to have a cheerful and bright personality coz it can affect the customers. I was helped (if that's how you call it by Yani). She was grumpy and did not smile back at me. Love the fresh made food, especially fresh pastries in the morning, and the staff is very nice. My only suggestion is to get a better system in the mornings with someone on register and someone making the orders. Since a lot in the morning are bagels, specialty coffees, smoothies, etc. the person on the register is ringing and then is taken away from keeping the line moving when they have to toast a bagel or make a latte. It may just add 2-3 minutes, but in the morning sometimes 2-3 minutes is the difference in making or missing my train to the city. read more

Parking at this location is awful! I visited today (a Monday) at 11:30am and had to park all the way by the entrance of Sushi Station. That's a LONG walk in freezing temps! There were plenty of seats inside too so they weren't crazy-busy, but the parking for the Starbuck's/Panera spills over into other lots. Another bad experience with this panera bread location! This is actually the closest panera to our house. But we always go to the Carpentersville location. This was a delivery ordered through the app so we had no choice in what panera would fulfill the order. We were delivered the wrong order. When I called the panera and asked if our correct order could be delivered the manager first said there was nothing he could do. Then he offered to refund our money and I agreed. Later he called back to say they would be delivering our original order. I'm really surprised this panera is still in business. read more

I have never had a problem here. Ever. I went to take my daughter for a quick bite before cheer practice. A Friday at 9 am. Not busy- I ordered an everything bagel toasted she ordered soup. When he handed me the plate with my bagel on it I lifted the top and said "could you toast this a little more for me?" And his response was to grab the plate- toss the bagel in the trash and then SAY "now I have to get a new one because you touched it" clearly irritated. I think his name was Fin- he was a manager. First, the associate taking my order doesn't charge me for the cream cheese I ordered even after I question him about it prior to swiping my credit card. Then, another associate comes over and determined that no I wasn't charged and then requests my credit card again, okay fine. He then goes on to explain how the other associate made the mistake. For the record, I don't care. How about you apologize and move on? A third associate is now calling my name and letting me know I need to walk all the way down to the sandwich counter, the farthest point from the door, to pick up my bagels which guy #2 is slicing behind associate #1 . I poured it down the drain and saw 3 little tiny hershey kiss type of chocolate barely melted. Even if they were fully melted it would still be very under flavored.
