The food is always fine, it's definitely taken a decline over the last few years which has seemed to be a common theme - but when you're craving it, it totally hits the spot. I typically order through the app so I don't get to interact with the staff much, but food comes out quickly and there's usually ample seating. Orders are wrong constantly. They refuse to take phone orders. They play bait and switch- the price online and a different price in person. In fact, we tried to order online at the restaurant and the online price was NOT correct. Not sure how long we will continue to put up with their incompetence. read more

Panera achieves this, almost all of the time and at almost every location. I wish I had the business branchild to have founded this business, in terms of how well it is run. The only variance can be in very busy periods when public space cleanliness (table bussing and such) may lag. The odering process, the menus, the speed, the layout and the costs vary only very slightly place to place and time to time. What you see (and expect) is precisely what you get. In that sense Panera is like MacDonalds with one key difference: most of the menu items are much better for you and you can control the nutrition you get. What's wrong with that, here in the 21st century? Ray Kroc might not admit it, but he'd be prod of Panera Bread. It's his business model, done right. read more

Oh my goodness how insanely polite and accommodating are the staff and managers at this location! They are always polite and notice that I have been in there a lot recently since arriving here to stay with my family for a while. There is one sour person who works there but it could be because of my tattoos or dress because I'm an artist, but the managers and staff other than that make me feel like I'm at my local coffee shop! I don't want to go anywhere else for my coffee or tea while I live here and I have even had good conversations with locals about this Panera. I love a good soft cookie, bear claw and sweet green tea. I can get my sweet tooth satisfied here as well as a good cup of coffee to wash it all down. It's a great place to do schoolwork if you don't mind a little noise. There are plenty of plugs and get a refill of coffee while you work. They stay very busy. Expect noise. read more

I have gone to this Panera a few times, and the most recent time was rather frustrating. I always do rapid pick up via my phone. Upon arriving I was told that they didn't have the bread I ordered in stock. No problem, I requested another. The teenage employee was very nice, but the manager on duty (2/11/19) was rather rude and condescending. I am always friendly to people, and had asked about the $ 2 off coupon in My Panera and why it didn't deduct it from this particular order. Perhaps I missed it but I truly did not see the option to deduct the $ 2 off and the manager was basically chiding me claiming that it is in the payment option and I must have missed it. I am not a computer illiterate person and was simply inquiring but his response and tone was irksome. I understand the weather was inclement and clearly he was irritated at having to be there. He told me that yes the $ 2 off was still in my Panera rewards (until 2/14) missing the fact that I wouldn't be coming back in three days just to use the rewards. I found it odd that he could give me the difference of the bread (.20) but not adjust the rewards on his end because it had been prepaid. If anything it makes me not want to return, when there are options in the area with great bread, coffee, sandwiches, and not disgruntled corporate employees who need a vacation. I've worked in the service industry before, it can be grueling. What is unacceptable is a manager to be snippy to customers who are not being rude in any way. The end. read more

Eldersburg Panera needs to clean up their act - literally. The floor under the booth is filthy as well as the wood dividers. Clearly children are putting their hands all over. You can pretty much expect the same thing at each Panera which is good if you don't like surprises and you are craving a specific menu item. This Panera is good. It is laid out nicely with a combination of booths, tables and high tops. The restaurant is clean and quick. By the time I placed my order and made it back towards the pickup, it was ready. Service was pleasant. The food was consistent and tasty. It's a great place to stop in for a coffee, breakfast, lunch, snack, dinner, etc. It's also a great place for road warriors looking to grab a bite to eat and catch up on some work. BTW, I had to laugh at John S' review that no one would read his review. People from other places may end up in Carroll County and want a clean place with free WIFI. read more

All three times I have tried this location it is SUPER slow in comparison to several other locations. Not sure if they are always understaffed or not but even when it's not overwhelmingly busy it has taken 30+ minutes for 3 meals. My most recent online pickup order took 15 minutes more than the time I was given and me going inside to retrieve it. The total time waited was well over 35 min from order to pickup. The food was very good once I did get it though and it does seem clean. I guess if you don't mind the long wait it's fine. read more

Love the food. Love the convenience of ordering online, picking it up and eating at home. Couple of things with tonight's order that could be fixed fairly easy. We will see if manager will fix. 1) The amount of food with takeout is a LOT less than eating in. Soup was less than half a bowl. What's up with that. 2) When people want to pick order up later (specifying the time) do not have it early on shelf. I arrived 15 minutes early and the order was ready (but getting cold!). If we order to pick up at 6:15 it should be ready at 6:15, not before. Like I said - great food, just get a little better please. read more

They redecorated, to poor effect. No more fireplace, and the whole place looks like a cafeteria. I can't eat the food here (makes me feel msg'd and fuzzy), but they have good cappuccino when they manage not to burn the espresso during grinding. read more
