The best Panera I've visited. The bread is always fresh and not too hard to eat like some of the others I've been too. I like the half sandwich and soup or salad combo. The chicken with wild rice soup is delicious. I also like the flavored ice tea they serve. The eternal road construction on the traffic circle makes it kind of a pain to get to, but it's worth the trouble. read more

Came here for a rock concert, since its called Pantera, but upon my arrival I found no rock bands playing, no loose women to hook up with, and no mysterious drug dealers looking to make a dime. Only thing I found here was some bread, soup, and salad. And it was bomb! The salad was as fresh and green as a 18 year old prostitute on her first night out on the dark grungy roads of the Wiregrass! Disappointed that there was no Rock bands playing, not even Rock music, just some weak soy boy music, and the women that frequent here are cougars that drive Jaguars that wouldn't put out if their children's lives depended on it. Good news is there's chocolate folk that frequent here as well, which is weird, because they don't sell fried chicken here or watermelon, but I digress....looks like I might score some "green salad" here after all! The app always says it will be ready within 10 minutes which I find to be a stretch but it normally doesn't take more than 15 at other Panera's I frequent out of town. The first day took 20 minutes and the second day took over 30. I get things are crazy and it's hard to be in the service industry with COVID going on (I'm in it too so I get it) but...why am I mobile ordering if it actually takes the same amount of time or longer than sitting in the drive thru for 20 minutes? read more

I decided to try Panera yesterday while out running errands. I went thru the drive thru and ordered a large "modern caprese" sandwich and a hibiscus tea. My order came to $13.82. I am very disappointed with the sandwich. It seemed very sparsely filled, especially regarding the mozzarella. It had one thin slice of mozzarella on the entire sandwich. To me, the cheese is the main ingredient of a caprese sandwich, especially when you are paying almost $10 for it. They used marinated or stewed tomatoes instead of fresh which made the bottom slice of bread very mushy. As an alternative to Panera, try Zoe's Kitchen just up Montgomery Hwy by Gander Mt. The food is delicious and fresh, and the staff is super nice. read more

We had a problem with communication at this restaurant. I had a party member with celiac disease, a real medical condition which requires a gluten-free diet. The person in the party explained gluten-free to the woman at the register, explained that she cannot eat wheat (this request includes croutons, baguettes, any bread), asked the cashier to list "wheat allergy" on the ticket so the cooks would omit offending items. The cashier did not list the allergy. She added a baguette to the order. She did write to omit croutons, however the cooks added croutons. "No wheat" and "wheat allergy" seem very simple and straightforward. I think the cashier was confused about the meaning even after having it explained for several minutes. Clearly, the cooks missed a message as they added the croutons despite the ticket order. I am concerned that episodes like this expose the restaurant to risk as a customer clearly declared a food allergy, requested the allergy to be placed on the ticket, had her request denied, and then had foods to which she is allergic placed in her meal. What if she had a reaction after this exposure? I think this is a great learning opportunity for cooks and meal prep people to learn about celiac disease and food allergies. Unrelated to this problem, my salad was good. It crunched in the right places and was sweet in all the right ways. read more

Constantly understaffed, running out of food due to lack of inventory management skills, with little to no regard for their employees well being. On top of that, the food is mediocre at best and rather overpriced. In a town filled with excellent food options, feel free to pass up this dumpster fire of an eatery. Honestly, the Publix bakery in the same parking lot has much better breads and sandwiches anyways. read more

I ordered the french onion soup and a caesar salad. The soup was luke warm and the salad had very little cheese. I asked for a senior discount and none was given. However, a military discount was given. The lady at the register (Teresa) was very helpful and efficient. I haven't eaten at Panera Bread for about 10 years. The food use to be so much better. With prices like these, l think you could do much better at a sit down restaurant. The food here has degraded to cafeteria grade food with a lot of unearned hype ! The food tastes just like any other Panera Bread. My issue with this particular location isn't the quality of food, but the continued ignorance of the staff working at the restaurant. In the past two months I have eaten here four times. I've ordered the same meal each time. What I find most disturbing is they make the exact mistake each time. I order the Mediterranean vegetable sandwich and specify NO RED ONIONS. Each time I do this they punch it into the system but the same lady who works behind the counter ignores it and makes the sandwich the same way. This last time I told the same woman the same mistake.. that I specified no red onions. She rudely told me to throw it away behind me and she would make another. This kind of response is not professional. I have not had this issue with other Panera Bread locations. It isn't going to make me stop eating Panera Bread. But I am done with this particular place. We have stopped here twice in the past 3 months for lunch on the way back from a beach trip. The staff is efficient and friendly. Using our Panera card we have been offered an extra treat. We even got a free smoothie. Food is Panera done well. Delivery of smoothies on most recent visit yesterday was slow and we were ahead of prime lunch hour (11:20AM), about 10 minutes after our meals. We will stop here again on our next trip through Dothan. read more

The service here is miserable. Check your drive through order before leaving because it is usually inaccurate. Tonight I made the mistake of attempting to go through the drive through and there was a sign explaining they would close at 7:30 so their employees can learn the new menu. At 7:10 pm I pull up and wait for 5 min with no answer. I call into the business to be told they have a training session and are closing at 7 pm. I tell the unpleant employee who answers that their sign days 7:30 pm --she argues with me.She never offers an apology just silence. They get it wrong every time! I have tried to give them the benefit of second (third, fourth, fifth, sixth, seventh, etc.) chances because we are all human and everyone makes mistakes. But these employees are either completely stupid or their management has failed them in properly training them. I have dined at Panera Bread locations throughout the US and this store is the ONLY one that consistently gets my order wrong EVERY SINGLE TIME. I am very clear in my order, specifically repeating it (often three times) to make sure they hear it and understand it and they still get it wrong. Lately my order is never served correctly , there is nobody checking the meal to see if it's correct after it's ordered. We were not impressed and very disappointed as the service was slow and disorganized as we were given a pager to go sit and wait for our food. It's panera, it shouldn't take more than 2 min. For u to make any item on the menu, not the 15 min. We waited. Mine - had a salad that had way to much dressing and it didn't even fill the bowl with crisp lettuce. Lettuce was partially wilted. I have been ordering delivery here for the last month. Never a problem, always prompt delivery but tonight I had ordered extra avocado on my baha mac n cheese and to my dismay, although my delivery was prompt, my order had no avocados. I quickly called the restaurant, spoke with the manager and within 15 mins Drew, my favorite delivery guy was pulling up to my hotel with the correct order, free of charge.
