The owner took our order and was funny (with some NY sass humor). Cool decor (my husband appreciated the Conan the Barbarian items). We ordered 1/2 pepperoni and 1/2 meat combo and a slice of cheesecake to share. The pizza was as good as we had heard it would be. The cheese and oil on top were the best parts imo. As usual, the folks are really nice. The interior has a lot os movie memorabilia and interesting to look at. The Philly cheesesteak was better this time but the bread again was a little doughy, not toast on the bread so it feels mushy (not soggy) even though we ate the sandwich right away. Also got a slice of White pizza and had it cut in half. The crust was perfectly cooked and it was tasty. Had the bread on the cheesesteak been baked a little longer I would have given 5 stars. read more

Our second visit to Richie B's, was just as good as our first! They are open during lunch hours only. Unless you have lots of time to spend, get there early to avoid the line. Richie B's was recommended to me by my brother and a friend as an authentic New York Pizza and sandwich joint. It has been open since 2014 in a building that at one time was a Captain D's. You would never guess by the way the building looks inside that it was a fast food seafood restaurant for the majority of the building's existence. This was actually my 2nd visit to Richie B's. The first time was 2 years ago as I had to sample some New York pizza. I have been to NYC since then and the pizza I ate in NYC was a poor choice on my part. The pizza at Richie B's was better as I remember it being a nice floppy slice. But what I can write more about today is the Philly Cheesesteak. The Philly Cheesesteak comes with peppers, onions, mushrooms (no mushrooms for me though), provolone cheese, and grilled sirloin. My friend recommended getting Viper Sauce to add to it. Mar-vel-ous suggestion! The Viper sauce looks like 1,000 Island but it isn't 1,000 island. It is some kind of mild horseradish conglomeration. It really took the cheesesteak to another level. The bread is a hoagie style that was soft and easy to chew. I had a side of fries that was $3.50. They are not homemade but still a good accompaniment. Sweet tea wasn't very sweet but adequate. If you are looking for a New York style pizza or sandwich in Dothan, give Richie B's a try. read more

And every time I must be in Dothan as there is little uniqueness. The slices are huge and prices are more than fair. Most all slices are under 5 bucks and are all overseen by the man himself. Manners and muscle...and flavor. Get some pickled jalapenos or even a huge salad. Try fitting a full pizza through your car door. Never let this local place go. Believe it or not there are only two, but this review is for Richie and his crew. I stopped in here for a slice when passing through Dothan, intrigued by the stellar reviews and always on the search for good pizza. Being from New Jersey and now living in Florida for eighteen years, it was with a sad realization that finding good pizza in the south is a task worthy of history's greatest explorers. I ordered a slice if plain pizza, which was over four dollars, a bit steep, and had it to go. The pizza came out pretty fast and here was something that anyone from the northeast would have noted. Instead of putting the paper plate and pizza in a white paper bag, they put it in a plastic bag. Nothing big, but for those from the northeast, they will understand. So, on to the important part, how was the pizza? Sadly, it was mediocre. It was a good size and the crust was pretty good. It had a nice crispy crunch to it, though it was a bit too chewy at the end. But still good. I wish the pizza was as good as the crust, but the total is a sum of the parts and not just one part. The biggest flaw was the sauce. It was horrible and ruined the quality of the pizza. I had high hopes for this pizza, the reviews were so positive. Sadly, the pizza could not deliver. read more

HUGE slices of tasty pizza! Yum yummmmm yummmm. I ordered 2 pieces of the vegetable pizza. It was really good. I loved the crust and amount of toppings that came on the pizza. The price is right for what you get. They also have a nice selection of hot sauces. Two of them were so spicy! I enjoyed it. My only critiques of this restaurant are the paper plates and the hours. I wish they used real plates for dine in service. They are also not open late, which is when we stopped by the first time. If you like pizza, you really need to check this place out. read more

This was great! We came in for lunch and were pleasantly surprised by how fresh and tasty everything was. The slices are big enough to share in my opinion. We split one between two kids and had some left. The crust was thin and crusty delish. My husband had a philly cheesesteak and it was on the softest hoagie. Absolute awesome service and fantastic food. Richie makes every attempt to socialize with his patrons and make them feel at home. My personal favorite is the cheesesteak. Absolutely the best I have found outside of Philly. His white pie is also awesome. And don't get me started on his cheesecake. All in all Richie B's is definitely a 10/10. The staff were friendly, however we didn't get to meet Richie B. ordered an 18" pepperoni with Extra Pepperoni and Cheese and an Italian Sub.However when we got it home, we all felt there was No extra meat or cheese, and I'm sure we were charged. Ordered onion rings when we arrived to pick up order. They were ready pretty quick, however when we got home there was No onion ring sauce. Nothing bad to say about the food! My fiancé never experienced Richie's pizza before. I've eaten here once before, so I wanted to share my experience. Richie took my order. It was quite busy today, so he took my order pretty fast. I ordered two sausage slices, two pepperoni slices, and a Philly cheesesteak. After walking back to my car to check my food, I noticed that that I didn't have the two pepperoni slices I'd ordered. I spoke to the one of the ladies assisting Richie at the front counter about my missing items privately (to make sure not to cause a scene or any confusion). She informed Richie about what happened and the MOST EMBARRASSING and most DISRESPECTFUL thing happens. Richie calls to his cooks and says "add two hot slices of pepperoni pizza into a box". Not even a split second goes by, he calls to his cooks again (by this time everyone can hear) and says "matter of fact ADD TWO COLD SLICES TO THE BOX with no ticket". Once he gave me the box with two COLD slices of pizza, he proceeds to tell me to "go home and put the slices of pizza in the oven for two minutes". I waited patiently in line to have the best pizza in town, and to be able to share my experience with someone else. Everyone around me today enjoyed their experience, and today I felt stripped of mine. I'm worthy just like everyone else! By the way, Richie, I'm in the process of getting another stove/oven.
