Absolutely amazing, best pizza around period and the lasagna was to die for! Wish they were open all day!

Food was good and staff was efficient you can always tell a good place to eat. Parking lot will be full.

Best pizza in Ozark, had the margarita pizza that had the right amount of sauce and fresh basil. Service was top notch, very friendly and took care of all our concerns. The restaurant is very cozy and not overly crowded. Will definitely be going back. read more

Excellent Pizza and Italian Food. Their pizza stacks up with the best anywhere. Call in your order and they will tell you when it is ready. They are always friendly and helpful. Food is always hot, fresh, and full of flavor. Usually have a little wait, but always worth it.

Seriously amazing pizza. They do have a gluten free pizza with pepperoni and sausage. It takes a while to make because they take such great care, it was phenomenal! 10/10 read more

I wanted to update my review since my last time I was here and got a sausage sandwich to go. As I waited for my order, I looked in the dining room and saw the lasagne being served to a customer and vowed to myself that I would be back to try their lasagne. Tonight found me back in Ozark, Alabama on business and I headed here for dinner. I found a seat in the dining room and ordered the lasagne. The salad was brought out and was good, though I would hazard a guess that the dressing was not house made (though few restaurants do make their own). The lasagne was good, it was very good. It was loaded with meat and a great feast The sauce was great and the meal was a winner. Here are a few things I can wish for that could make this restaurant truly exceptional. The menu is a bit small. My go to dish in an Italian restaurant is veal parmigiana. Here they only offer pizza, spaghetti with either meatballs or sausage, manicotti, or lasagne. I also understand that a restaurant must offer what the community will allow for it to sustain being a regular item on the menu. Perhaps here simply cannot. I also wish they would take a stab at making their own meatballs. With those complaints aside, this is a great restaurant, especially considering it is located in the relatively small market of Ozark, Alabama. If you find yourself here, try this restaurant. read more

We were on the hunt for some Italian food in the Wiregrass area. This place did not disappoint. The pizza is great here. I did a build your own with jalapenos, black olives, and pineapple. Even though it was not listed as a pizza topping item I asked for fresh garlic and they came through. I really liked the flavor of the crust and sauce. It was not exactly thin crust but it was close. Another strong part of the meal was the dessert. Get the lemon cake. It was the right ratio of creamy and lemon tang. I could have eaten a few slices of this. My least favorite part of the meal was the Greek salad. It was nice sized and crisp, but it was missing a few items I usually associate with this type of salad like beets, green peppers, or some pepperchonis. It also had some water at the bottom. Our service from Kaylene was fantastic. She checked in with us each step of the meal. I will definitely come back to this restaurant. read more

The pasta & pizza is very good. Picked it up to go but the quality I'm assuming is just as good as if you were eating inside.

Best mom and pop pizza place in lower Alabama I have been here a few times . The staff treats you like family.Every thing I have had is great. To my Fort Rucker family the ozark gate is now 24 hours so it's a 10 min drive from main post. Some ideas Gourmet White Greek Salad Supreme Pepperoni pesto with feta read more

I recently came here because I had a huge craving for pasta and meat sauce and I am so glad I came here. On our visit here, I had a side of meatballs as an appetizer (covered in delicious marinara and cheese and piping hot), the baked spaghetti (which hit the spot in every way imaginable) and the lemon cello marscarpone cake (absolutely and undeniably delicious). The meatballs were so flavorful and delicious. I think the next time I'm here I want to order them and with cheesy garlic bread and make a sandwich! The baked spaghetti was piping hot and perfectly cooked and seasoned. It was also a huge portion so I had enough for dinner and lunch the next day (it was somehow even better reheated). The lemoncello marscarpone cake was the best dessert I've had in a very long time. I'd make the drive out to Ozark from Dothan just for that cake! Additionally, the service received from Kaylene was top notch. She was polite, quick, and attentive. I couldn't have asked for better service. I will definitely be back. read more

Best pizza in the area, and staff was extremely polite and welcoming. The restaurant was very nostalgic, we plan to eat in house next time.

The pizza is good but pickup service is not. Twice, called in our order and were told how long. Ok, first time got there about the time our order should be ready and are told it's not ready. Have to wait and then over the next hour watched three other people who also called in their orders, walk in, pickup and pay then walk out. WTF. Apparently they hadn't even started cooking my order until I walked in. 2nd time called in order and happened AGAIN only this time I waited over an hour and when my pizza still wasn't ready after 2 and half hours AFTER order called in, I left. I'm not going back. read more

We love DiFilippo's! The pizza here is just so different than the norm. I also always order the cheese bread with the garlic butter sauce for dipping. It's so good! It does take a little longer, normally an hour, but the wait is so worth it! We've never eaten inside, we normally call in, but the ambiance of the restaurant is very family friendly. Highly recommend! read more

We travel through here occasionally and love to eat here!! We got a super supreme pizza this time. It had perfectly cooked crust with red sauce that had the best taste. The toppings were the freshest!! The ones we ordered from and the people at the register we very personable and helpful. Loved finding a really good pizza place in a small town!! read more

This hole-in-the-wall Pizza place is the real deal, owned and ran but folks of Italian descent, for over 50 years. The authentic pizzas are outstanding especially the Supreme with Pepperoni, Italian sausage, green peppers, onions, and mushrooms. All fresh ingredients, veggies are local. The dinning area is small and fills up quickly on weekends but we usually just order take-out. All that said; Difilippo's is a hidden gem in this small town market. read more

Delicious Italian food. We frequently get the lasagna entree and split it, but I've also gotten the Italian sub with the spicy relish before and really enjoy that as well. read more

Wow! The food was really good. I had the manicotti and it was piping hot and a very large portion. I will take the leftovers for lunch. Don't come if you are in a rush. Everything is made from scratch and certainly doesn't seem to have been sitting around waiting to be microwaved. My only complaint was the server was not great. The building is small and doesn't seat a whole lot of people. Expect to have to wait for a table I will certainly come back again. read more

The best food, friendly home town staff. I have not had a bad meal here. I have eaten in and carried out.

What a great Yelp find. We were traveling and saw all the local cars so we had to stop. We waited a short bit but were seated fairly quickly. We spoke with the wife of the owner who told us the 50 year history of the restaurant. She explained the food items as we were looking for something on the lighter side while traveling. We had the Chicken Caprese Pizza and chef salad. It had the right amount of chicken, mozzarella, tomato and basil. It was amazing!!!!! The balsamic glaze made it. We also had the roast beef sub, again amazing. We were attended to by the waitress but the wife of the owner was also checking in on us. A family owned and operated place, be sure to stop by if you have a chance. She did say there is a long wait on the weekends for dining and carry out. We just happen to stop by on a Tuesday. The interior is not fancy with pizza pans and pizza peels ( the item used to get pizza from oven) Kept this one bookmarked for next time we are in the area. read more

Small restaurant, sometimes you may have to wait a few minutes for a table The pizzas is very good, I usually get the Gourmet White. OMG OMG OMG OMG......... Where do I even begin?? This place is AWESOME!!! My wife and I were staying at the Baymont Hotel and I asked the clerk where some good Italian food was. He didn't hesitate and said "DiFilippo's" We decided to make the drive for a carry out order to take back to the hotel My wife and I ordered a pizza with pepperoni and an order of lasagna. The pizza was so fresh and delicious but the real star was the lasagna. You could tell they use fresh ground beef and Italian sausage. The flavors just smack you in the face! Comes with a nice salad and garlic bread. More than reasonable prices Sadly, I don't get to Ozark, Alabama very much but when I do...THIS WILL BE WHERE I GO TO EAT PS - be sure to ask for Jason, he is truly a rock star!!! read more

Went in and was greeted by a very rude woman who all but yelled at my wife and that they are a take out only restaurant as soon as we walked in the door. Before we could turn and leave we hear loud cursing coming from the kitchen. I haven't eaten here since I graduated high school in '93. Back then I used to think that Mr. Difilippo had the best pizza that I had ever had. Now that I am visiting for a few days, I wanted to see, if they are still as good and share the experience with my wife who is from New Jersey. As they say in boxing, "AND STILL...THE UNDISPUTED CHAMPION"! I LOVE THIS PLACE! Little ol country Ozark has something that the big cities would bid generously on.
