Richie-B's offers an amazing New York Style Pizza that you have to turn sideways in order to get out the door with and a Philly Cheese Steak Sandwhich that you'll find difficult to equal anywhere in the entire city of Philadelphia (I've been to all the "claimed" best in the city). The owner, Richard Brose, is an amazing character; check out the movies he's been in and the rest of his resume on the walls as you visit the restaurant. He will go out of his way to make sure that your experience is amazing! I have been here several times and the pizza was amazing. I went back today for the first time In several months and i ordered the same as usual, a sausage slice, stuffed peeper and salad ... The pepper and salad was spot on, the service was great, unfortunately the slice wasn't the same. It was bland and tasteless. I was super disappointed. I'm going to try it again, in hopes it was a "one-off" mistake. Again, I've always been super impressed with the pizza , so please don't take this review as Ritchie's isn't good, because 9 times out of 10 it has been. We had two cheese steaks and a slice of Supreme pizza. It was definitely the best cheese steak I've had and my mother said it may be the best sandwich she's ever had. The sauce that came with it was a nice touch. The pizza was great as well and truly New York style. The staff and service was equally as enjoyable as the food which seems like such a rarity in most places lately. We stopped here on our way back to Atlanta from the beach and it was the perfect lunch break. We ordered the supreme pizza and drinks and the four of us ate for about $40. The crust of the pizza was great and the toppings were good. We also had the cheesecake later for dessert and it was amazing! We didn't order their salad, but when we saw it come out we wished we had. It was huge! Plenty for two people to share. Definitely a gem in Dothan! I really love their pizza. The crust is tasty and not thick, the toppings are fresh and delicious. I do not recommend the eggplant. I sometimes make my own eggplant but it's a lot of work so I tried the eggplant sub. It was awful. They should be ashamed. I learned how to make eggplant from an Italian friend, which no way resembles the brown mush they put in a sub. So I gave in and made my own and froze some for later. This is the best pizza in Dothan, AL. It's the best pizza I've had in Alabama, honestly. It's as close as you can get to New York pizza in the south in my opinion. The crust is thin, crispy and has a great flavor. The sauce is not overly acidic and the toppings are fresh. The sandwiches are delicious as well. I have tried many things off the menu, and they are consistently high in quality and worth the price (which is not outrageous). The one aspect that they could improve on is their hours of operation. Not sure about anything else . But i will say this. I'm born and raised in Long Island NY and i know pizza. I live in troy, and my son was telling me about this guy who makes NY Pizza. He brought some home for me last night and i had it for lunch . Like i said to him as I was opening the oven BAM i could smell NY pizza, and then i ate it. Stopped in for a slice, it was ok but that's about it. Foundation=crust. Dough is kind of flavorless but the crunch on the crust was great. Not enough sauce so it lacked flavor. The cheese was just fine. I think the par bake on the initial pie was too long, or the reheat for the slice was, either way the slice was way over cooked. Overall, lacked flavor and too well done. Add more sauce for flavor, cook less and get another star. read more

MAN I love this joint! The pizza is so awesome, and my husband LOVES their sandwiches (especially the philly cheesesteak!). What can I say? Pizza reminds me of back home and the eggplant parm was perfect. Not sliced too thick or masked under gobs of cheese and sauce. The bread was soft but since I'm not a bread guy, I didn't eat it. Even the prosciutto and cheese stuffed cherry peppers were on point. The only downside was they were out of cannoli but Richie came around the counter and hooked me up with the filling and pieces of the shell. That's what I call customer service. It just sucks that I leave tomorrow to go back home but next time I'm up in the area, I will definitely be passing by and hopefully getting a full cannoli. After walking inside we were yelled at by the owner who said "don't expect any good food coming into my place ten minutes before closing."
