They served me broccoli and cheddar soup with meat in it. Asked for them to remake and it came out with more chicken in it. As a vegetarian that's pretty disrespectful. No one is up front to even take orders so you have to use the computer. After telling them they should dump the soup and remake it for the next guest they laughed and called me "bro" they all act like children and are very rude. It was a inconvenience for THEM to do their job. The kid told me that they keep the broccoli cheddar soup right next to the chicken noodle soup and that "sometimes chicken gets in" and later that he didn't see any chicken even though I had placed the chicken in my soup on a napkin for them to see. I want to give a big shout out to Billi, manager of Panera Bread in Destin. I had ordered through uber Eats and my soup was left out of my order. I explained I'd tried to contact uber but no luck. The package had been sealed when I received it, and the receipt stated I'd payed for the soup. Instead of me having to try to get another uber eats to get it for me, Billi brought it to me herself! Along with a brownie and a card for a Pick 2 complimentary! From the initials on the receipt Billi could tell it was packed by a brand new trainee on their first day, so all is forgiven. Also, what a great attitude and helpful spirit! So, thank you, Billi! And go get some of their yummy soup, it's definitely the weather for it!!! read more

The food is not very good at this location and the drive through line is incredibly slow. But I want to address discrimination, blatant ADA violation that I experienced today at this store while eating my breakfast sandwich in my car legally parked with plackard displayed. I am handicapped and retired. The female manager (overweight, probably 40ish) came out to my car and told me to eat out back by trash can or leave or she'd have me trespassed because other customers (allegedly) didn't want me there as no one wanted to see an "old handicapped woman" as "It's bad for business." I asked why, what was different with me, since other customers hang around for hours. She refused to explain. I am a retired university professor. I never spoke to anyone or disturbed anyone in any way. And no one deserves to be treated. In such a demeaning, humiliating way. I wish the person who took my order had a more positive attitude or smiled maybe. I'm a foreigner and i needed a second to understand the menu and ask what is what to my boyfriend. After visiting the Santa Rosa beach location with only cash.. (you can only order on the kiosk after 8 pm * for Togo only) at 8:15 pm on 7/17/2021, I had to go to the Destin location (15 minutes further away) and waited in the drive through for the person to talk... watched a white newer model Jeep in front of me order and pull forward so I thought this wouldn't be an issue. Apparently Panera bread doesn't close at 9! It closes when the employees and manager decides to close. This wouldn't be an issue if I hadn't already been sitting in the drive through for the last 11 minutes! I pray the manager loses WiFi at home and steps in dog poo regularly. Great location for shopping but not on New Year's Eve. I figured I would catch a movie and grab some food from a yummy restaurant. Not really an option on this side of the area. most of the restaurants are closed which is what brings me here. Not sure which is more sad, me eating Panera's for dinner on New Year's Eve or me going to a movie alone on the same day. Doubly it would seem. But to be fair let me review the location. Clean, roomy especially empty like now. Staff is friendly and helpful. I ordered end the 1/2 Frontera chicken and Fuji salad. I tried the included dressing but didn't much like it but asked for BBQ Ranch and it complemented it perfectly. The meal wasn't complete without their presweetened Green Tea. Driver calls to let me know he will be late, okay no problem. 7:30 my app says driver has arrived, after about 10 minutes I call the store and they say the driver couldn't find the building so he returned to the store. Even though myself and the driver spoke two separate times. No call to say they couldn't find it, no update on the app to say it was canceled, nothing. So I'm just sitting in my house like a freak waiting for food that wasn't even going to be delivered anyways. I wouldn't be so annoyed if I didn't live less than a mile from the store. Just went in for something small to hold us over until dinner. No one was behind the counter but two employees were working close by. One of the employees walked over to the register we were at - didn't say a word to us - not hello, not someone will be right with you, not a smile, nothing. We left. I have been eating Panera for 20 years and I love the food they serve which is why I continue to order there. This Destin location is by far the worst and sadly it's the closest one to us. I try to give the staff the benefit of the doubt, but this is now our 5th order that wasn't accurate. I ordered for our family of 6 (every time I order it's a rather large order) however, their recipes even states "accuracy matters" but clearly it doesn't. The amount of food items were correct but DON'T EVEN BOTHER TO PUT CUSTOMIZATION on your order it's like the staff doesn't even look. We don't often remove anything from the menu items but sometime add a sauce or spinach to the sandwiches. I prefer dressings on the side when I'm taking salads to go and I always ask for utensils and napkins. Unfortunately, this occurrence today was no different than the last 4...none of our add-ins were included on our sandwiches, no bread bowl for our soup, no utensils, no dressings on the side and it is very frustrating. Additionally, the order always takes 20-30 minutes over the time given through the app. The lady brought us a single cookie for our wait, but I would much rather wait for a correct order than receive the cookie. Lastly, there is no option to leave a review via phone or website for feedback/concern so here I am on yelp! PLEASE verify orders before making them and sending them to your customers. read more

Today, I had a roast beef sandwich and french onion soup and I enjoyed each bite. The only problem I seem to have is that I forget that they use horseradish in their standard dressing, and I HATE horseradish. Its not listed on the menu and I always forget to tell them not to put it on there. So, if you also hate horseradish, watch out! Usually Panera is one of my favorite places to grab a bite. Today was a disappointment. Got my standard order of a French onion soup in a bread bowl, and got the 'small' mac & cheese for my date. The total was just shy of $20 and the manager was the one who took the order. We weren't given a buzzer to know when the order was ready, so had to watch the pickup area like a hawk for when it was ready. Order was made in a timely manner, but the soup was barely half full. What made it worse is that the small mag and cheese was not small but -tiny-! There was more soup in my bowl before I asked for it to be topped up! $5 for 6 bites worth of pretty average mac n cheese is really bad. So, won't be ordering that ever again. read more

It's Panera. Plenty of choices for food, snacks, and drinks. The menu here is nothing new. The employees have all been friendly and helpful. Their Strawberry Poppyseed Salad is my go-to. My husband recently got the chicken tortellini - very good but I'd skip the cat food like chicken they threw on top. This location is nice and big. Located in The Commons. This review is about the customer service. The food was of the same quality that I expect from Panera. I ordered food for my family via the drive-through. When we drove back to our house, we took out all the food and noticed that we were missing a sandwich. I immediately called them and spoke to one of the managers (I think his name was Brian). They said they would send a gift card to our address since it wasn't convenient for us to drive back in dinner-time Destin traffic. I waited a couple weeks and never got anything in the mail so I called again and spoke to Brian. He apologized and said he gave it to one of his co-workers to mail and it must not have gotten done so he would mail it off personally. I waited another couple weeks and nothing came. read more

This is one of the nicer Panera Bread's I've visited. Very open and spacious with a friendly staff and clean dining area. They've got the standard Panera Bread menu, so if you like their offerings you'll get the same things here. Good option if you are dining in the Destin Commons.
