Horrible Thai food. The Pad Thai was watery and sweet. We had to return it and refused their offer to redo it. Pad kra pao does not look like it at all. Pale ground pork with soupy base. The panang curry was watered down too. It is so frustrating when your favorite food in the whole world is Thai food. The service was EXCELLENT. From the time we walked in until we completed our dinner, we had ZERO complaints. The owner personally greeted us and his girlfriend cooks all of the authentic Thai food. The Pad Thai was not overly sweet and the spice level was on point. Our daughter wanted a broth base order and the server recommended Beef Noodle Soup. She's 6 and said that she liked it. I've been wanting to try this restaurant for a while as it's caught my eye many times before, I finally grabbed the moment and I will be a customer for life!! The layers of flavor and attention to detail and authentic Thai food had me saying wow every few bites! The chicken curry had so much flavor, the crab reboot was folded gently so you get more taste or the ration was light and airy! The drunken noodles had the perfect amount of heat and the vegetables were cooked with love. The owner were so kind warm and welcoming you feel like family! What a surprise to find an authentic, tasty, Thai restaurant so close to the boardwalk in Destin! I thoroughly enjoyed everything, from the drunken noodle, shrimp fried rice, and garlic pepper seafood we ordered, to the green curry (with real Thai kick!) and the ground beef plate. Loved it all, and had leftovers as well due to the generous portions. Interior had me skeptical (as well as low number of reviews) but they made up for it in authenticity, flavor, speed, and service. It helped that we were the only ones there but a party of 12. Great meal! read more

We decided to try this restaurant because we like Thai and have had Thai in many places here and abroad. When we pulled up, the outside was unimpressive and only 2 cars. Inside felt cozy, homey, and welcoming. We found the soup and pad Thai very flavorful and truly authentic. Clearly made from scratch. We finished with the baked banana dessert. It was wonderful. We met the people running the place and they were super. Very nice, friendly, and attentive. They pointed out they wanted us to feel like we're at home. We highly recommend to try them if you are in the area. We will definitely returning soon. read more

Service was great, the staff is very friendly and checked in on us several times. The restaurant is smaller but sat the 5 of us without issue. Food was delicious and flavorful, but not very spicy. We ordered every dish (except the chicken fried rice) at their max spicy level (Thai Hot) but the only dish we received that had any spice at all the Basil Fried Rice and I think it was about a 3 out of 5 on the spice scale. Still very good food, my family and I are just spice-lovers so we all wish it had been much spicier. Overall, delicious, lovely ambience, and very friendly staff. We are likely to return next year when we make our way back to Destin! read more

Best Thai in Destin/surrounding area mark my words! The Pad Thai was incredible - so many fresh vegetables, amazing flavor, and the sauce was the perfect balance of sweet and spicy. Also the desserts were to die for. The chef tried to take the mango sticky rice off of our bill because the mango wasn't sweet enough meanwhile it was the best mango I've had down here. That is to say the service was overwhelmingly hospitable. This place definitely is not a tourist trap. If you're looking for good Thai with good portions, stop here! read more

Horrible experience, and I'm really not one to complain. The server didn't put in the full order, so we sat waiting and waiting until we finally checked on it. He said he didn't think we wanted the dish, but my husband literally told him 4 times the items he wanted. We got home, and our credit card was overcharged! Service was really bad. Server forgot to turn in our order so we had waited 15 minutes after placing initial order. Total time waiting for appetizer was 30 minutes. We ordered the Pot Stickers. They were over cooked and did not come with ponzu for dipping. They had some kind of drizzle. For main meal we had pineapple fried rice. It was ok, but somewhat plan. They were generous with the cashews. Husband got pad Thai and the meat was poor quality and tough. The sauce was so wangy I could not even finish my sample bite from his plate. He said the more he ate it the worse it tasted. I asked for a refill and never got it. Maybe it was a bad day but it was bad enough that we could not recommend nor will we be back. There are too many Thai restaurants in the vicinity to settle for sub-par food and neglectful service. Also to note if you like a good cup of Tom Kha before your meal it won't be happening. One of the best hidden gems on the Emerald Coast. The first thing that I found great was the owner coming over to greet us when we walked in. Had dinner tonight at Thai Smile, in the old ThaiTannic building on Harbor Blvd. near Whataburger. If you have a hankering for authentic Thai food, look no more. Outstanding Thai dishes in a plain-jane surrounding. No white table cloths, no fancy decor, just great food at reasonable prices. And the bonus of more-than-enough servings! Give them a try and support local folks. You will not be disappointed. Added bonus: plenty of available, free parking. Sorry no photos. We were too busy eating. I had the best Pad Thai I've had in a long time, and my wife had the Pad Won Sen (glass noodles). I was pleasantly surprised the Pad Thai had at least eight shrimp. First and foremost the service is second to none. We ran in really quickly for lunch and the dude that was there was super cool, really knowledgeable and super friendly and it was just a huge bonus that the Thai food was actually delicious. The food was average and very overpriced. The place was clean but felt like you were eating in a trailer. Taco Bell is a little fancier than Thai Smile. Service was ok but a little slow, especially considering no one else was there eating.
