We LOVE Thai 9 Cuisine! The atmosphere is great, service was very friendly and fast, the food was delicious. Warning: they ask you how spicy you want your meal on a scale of 1-5.....take them seriously! We love spice but definitely underestimated their spice scale We wanted to go back for a second meal on our vacation but ended up running out of time. We will definitely be back next time we are in Destin! read more

This is the best Thai food we have ever eaten. We visited the restaurant twice during our visit to Destin!! Their appetizers are delicious. The Crab Rangoon filling is creamy and contains the perfect amount of crab, and the outside was crispy. The gyoza is crispy outside and moist inside with a delicious filling. Their wonton soup broth is tasty and the dumplings are good inside and out. Their rice dishes are fantastic with large portions. We tried the basil and curry fried rice plates. The Panang Curry was the best we've ever had -- creamy and tasty with a delicious coconut flavor. Their glass noodle and pad Thai dishes were also excellent. Finally, their Thai tea is very tasty. We will be back the next time we are in town!! read more

Masaman Curry (4/5): Very tasty. It was cremy, sweet, and spicy. Would've liked some more meat, but still a big fan of this. Crab Rangoon (3/5): Good ratio of filling to shell (which was well fried), but it was mostly just cream cheese with very little crab flavor. Sweet Chili Crispy Chicken (2/5): Not crispy at all. The sauce would've been good if it wasn't so watery. The broccoli was also sad and flavorless. RATING SYSTEM 5 - Great (Need to get this again) 4 - Good (Would get this again) 3 - Ok (Might give this another shot) 2 - Not Good (Won't get this again) 1 - Bad (Telling people to avoid this) read more

Amazing food! Everything was incredibly delicious and flavorful. I highly recommend trying the crab rangoon--even as a sweet treat/dessert, it's amazing! Also, the place is very clean, including the restrooms, which is always a huge plus. Definitely coming back! read more

We had a party of 7 + a baby for dinner at 7 pm on Thursday, 6/20/24. There was no wait and we were seated right away. They had a high chair for the baby! When we left around 8 pm, it had gotten more crowded. We split a few appetizers and each got our own entree and it was more than enough food. Here's what we got: - Edamame ($6.24): Came out steaming! Very good! - Mushroom Tom Yum Soup ($5.72): Deeeeelicious! Highly recommend. - Fried Veggie Rolls ($6.76): Typical spring rolls. I don't think these are a must-try. - Pad Thai ($15.50): Good, but not as dry or as peanutty as other Pad Thai I've had. - Pad See-Ew ($15.50): Good! - Thai Fried Rice ($15.50): Very tasty. Wish it came with more vegetables, to give it a little more color variation. Everyone really enjoyed their food and it was very reasonably priced, especially for the generous portions! Service was great, the staff were so friendly. We would definitely go back! read more

The owners are fabulous. The food is absolutely amazing and my favorite is the chicken pad Thai. The noodles are just delicious and the flavor AWESOME! I've had many pad thai meals across the nation and this is one of the best! All of their food is very fresh. I also recommend the cucumber salad! Sometimes I eat here twice a day because it's very healthy!! The owners have such great attitudes and are very warm people and make you feel very welcome and it is impeccably clean ! read more

This was a very pleasant surprise during our trip to Destin. We went on a Wednesday night. We were the only ones there but I am sure this was not a reflection of their food. The food was amazing! We got appetizers including chicken wings, grilled shrimp, coconut shrimp, shrimp rolls and they were all awesome. We got entrees pad Thai, green curry, pepper steak, basil rice and they were all delicious. Service was very quick and friendly. Ambiance was very good. Overall our meal was much better than the "seafood restaurants with a beach/ocean view" that we tried in Destin. read more

First, let me say, I love Thai food and try to frequent Thai restaurants when I am traveling. This was the first time that I have ever experienced in any restaurant that they put a mandatory 10% on top of the total bill for takeout. I have never heard of such a thing. We had several of the Panang dishes, the Thai fried rice, a couple different soups, and the Pad Thai. All were just OK. Nothing stood out as being great. I would have given them a three star but again, the additional 10% for takeout is absolutely ridiculous. read more

So disappointed in the service my family received tonight. And on top of that, a mandatory 20% service charge to our party pretty much gave them free will to do sh*t service knowing they get a guarantee percentage tip anyway. We've frequented before but tonight left a bad taste in my mouth, I won't be back read more

Bad handling I ordered a meal that I didn't like and the owner forced me to pay The owner was rude without manners and hungry for money instead of the service and quality The Tum yum soup salty and very sour for my taste I don't recommend the place read more

We arrived at our air bnb and wanted to pick up something quick to have for dinner. We ordered the beef drunken noodles, chicken pad Thai and a couple orders of the vegetable spring rolls. The drunken noodles were so good and the perfect amount of spice. Loved the peanut flavor in the pad Thai, and couldn't stop eating the hot and crispy spring rolls. I was actually impressed by the quality! read more

Amazing love the food and people every time I come in - definitely one of my favorites in the area to frequent

Crab rangoon was really good but our main meals which were two chicken pad thai they were pretty horrible i wouldn't get it if i were you. I don't often get takeout but when i do it's always thai food i have tried many places pad thai and this is probably some of the worst i tried. The pad thai noodles were mushy almost like this ramen noodles. for $60 i think i will pass on this place next time, or maybe just get an order of crab rangoon. read more

I ordered the mango and sticky rice, and it was great. I only came for dessert, and it did not disappoint. The service was excellent, and the atmosphere was very relaxed and quiet. read more

Thai 9 Cuisine - D1. Coconut Sweet Sticky Rice and Mango - Thai Near Me - Destin, Florida

This place has been a staple to our family since they have been open! Food is savory and the level of spice you can ask for is impressive!

Ate at this place twice during our vacation. Honestly would have came a third time, as it is that good. This is a family run business that takes pride in their customer service, presentation and food! We tried their gyoza, pork dumplings, fried shrimp and garlic pepper dish. Everything was fantastic and cooked to perfection. If you are looking for a decently priced restaurant with great customer service, Thai 9 is the place to go! read more

This place has legit home style Thai food. If you are in Destin and on vacation you have to try this spot! The owners are amazing chefs and also wonderful hosts. Let's do a proper review for a traveling eater. Venue 5 out of 5 - A Genuine Thai ambiance when you visit. A very clean venue that has lots of space. If you have parties larger than 8 you can call ahead and reserve. Has that genuine Thai restaurant feel. Vacationers there's a wide selection of alcohol. Staff 5 out of 5 - The owners them selves are the hosts and also the cooks! They are very friendly and polite. The environment with them is very welcoming and you never feel rushed. Food 5 out of 5 - so let's cover what we had. For starters we had the fried Calamari, egg rolls, and crab Rangoon. All amazing and they don't feel heavy. We had the Tom ka soup. This I will always come back for more! Has that authentic flavor so you know it's legit! We then had the Basil fish that was a large fried tilapia bigger than a plate that makes you salivate just thinking about it. And finally the mussels! In a Thai coconut sauce that makes you not want to share! I had to because I was with the wifey. All in all the best dinner we had the whole weekend in Destin while on vacation. Seafood and Keto people... soup and main courses are awesome without rice! We definitely had a wonderful experience overall and look forward to many more visits since we vacation in Destin a lot! Our overall rating for this 5 out of 5! Good job and we WILL be back to visit soon! read more

Very friendly Thai restaurant with a very good selection of food. Service was prompt and friendly and the menu was pretty extensive. Food was ok. We had the Volcano Shrimp and the Roti to start. Volcano shrimp were fried well, but sauce was a bit tasteless. Roti was much better. For our mains, we had Yellow Curry with vegetables and Sweet Chili Crispy Chicken. The yellow curry sauce was very good, but there were hardly any vegetables - five pieces of carrot, two broccoli, and two pieces of pineapple with some onion. It was really like a soup with some vegetables. The Sweet Chili Chicken was a pass for me - chicken was really deep friend, almost hard pieces. The chili sauce was good. I'll give this four stars based on the friendly staff and we had a few recommendations to try the place from friends. We may try again in a few months. read more

Oh man....what a find!!! While in town on vacation, we wanted a break away from the typical "beach food" for a night and enjoy Thai food, so we decided to try Thai 9. It was one of the better tasting Thai restaurants I have been to in years! The Panang curry is amazing. The drunken noodles were great and teriyaki chicken was cooked to perfection. We also had the Thai veggie spring rolls and the roti (which was not on the menu, but I heard about it while reading reviews). Both apps were great, but that roti was amazing! We always make it a point to eat at McGuire's when in Destin, but now we have a second place that we will ALWAYS eat at while in Destin!!! Oh, and the server was fantastic! read more

If I can give this place 10 stars I would! GET the rice soup bowl or the noodle soup bowl!!!! Feels like healing home made food!! Service phenomenal, people super sweet! Amazing ambiance for dinner! Come here and you won't regret it! read more

This place is really a 3.5 stars but since I can't go with that I'll give it the 4. The appetizers we ordered were really good. We got the crab wontons and the Roti with curry. They were fresh and tasty. I had the pad Thai with chicken. It was served hot and fresh, however, it was nothing special in terms of wow factor. They have varying spice levels which ARE accurate. I almost went with the double Thai hot but the Thai hot is plenty hot. Service was very friendly and the accuracy on the spice level is why I went to the 4 from the 3 so if those aren't as important, this place is a nice Thai spot to stop at, but you won't miss anything if you don't get to go. Drink selection is also subpar but they had a few beers and wines available. read more

Super sad about giving this review. We were so excited for our last meal on our trip to be good. But it must be done, the truth must be told, I'm sorry. We go in and got greeted, no problem there. We sit down and this just ain't it chief. So, we want to order beer and they let the liquor license expire so we all had water. 2 of the glasses had some stuff in it and then we waited and waited and waited just to take our order. Finally after 10-15 minute literally, we order. Obviously we wait for the food to be cooked. We waited another 30+ minutes. We waited about 40-50 minutes from start to getting the food on the table. My friends ordered a noodle dish with tofu. Every single bite they took, I watched their faces and it wasn't good. The tofu was spongy and overcooked and the overall flavors of the dish were so bad. My nephew got pineapple fried rice covered with soy and that's all it tasted like and it did. I got the garlic pepper dish and it was so so salty I feel bloated and overall nothing good. Every single dish we ordered came out separately, the appetizers, the main dishes. I still gave 20% tip because people are still struggling, but unfortunately I won't be back. read more

My family and I went on vacation to Destin, FL and just stumbled upon this restaurant. The outside it seems small, but once you walk in...wow. Beautifully styled and very inviting. The waitress was incredibly nice and helpful with suggestions for appetizers. We ended up choosing the shrimp spring rolls....DELICIOUS! My boyfriend ordered the crispy spicy chicken, my daughter ordered the honey garlic pork, and I ordered the yum woon-sen. Every dish was perfect. The shrimp in my dish was perfectly cooked! We are so glad we happened to find Thai 9 Cuisine! This will be a new tradition added to our yearly vacation. read more

Love this gem in Destin. If you love authentic Thai food and spice you should stop in here. We door dashed the first night we were here in Destin and made the drive back throughout our vacation. 1. Papaya salad- We got Thai Spicy and it was SPICY. They used 4 thai chili peppers. Although it was spicy it had really good flavor. 2. Fish cakes- probably my least favorite thing. It was very doughy more than a fish cake. 3. Tiger Cry- 4 out 5. If it was cooked medium it would've been 5 out of 5. It was served on the well done side. 4. Red chicken curry- the creamiest curry I've ever had. Very delicious. 5. Pad Thai- we asked for it to be spicy but it wasn't spicy at all. Flavor was good though. 6. Pad kee mow- 4 out of 5. Love the added bamboos in this dish. read more

Last time we visited Destin we went here and it was so good. We ate here again tonight and it was just as amazing. Such great customer service. Our waitress was so friendly and helpful. The restaurant was clean and smelled good. My husband had beef noodle soup and he loved it, he loves Pho. I had pad Thai, it was the right mix of salty and sweet. read more

Needed something different from the traditional Destin lunch fare so decided to go on a mini and close to home food adventure. Thai 9 has great Yelp reviews and fit the bill. We showed up about 1:15 pm and they close at 2:30 pm for an afternoon intermission, reopening around 4. I guess this is the reason no one else was in the restaurant but its a small place, electronic menu set up and fairly extensive menu. We started with hot tea which was fresh and very good. My wife did two apps as her meal, spring rolls and chicken lettuce wraps, both were light, very fresh and delicious. I decided to try the chicken Pad Pahk which again was very flavorable, fresh and a perfect portion size. Super polite and attentive service, build out is simple and comfortable and prices are very reasonable. I will repeat, great food and fun. read more

This place needs more than 5 stars!!! The food is off the charts amazing! The service was the best I've had in so long. The owner was so personable and friendly. Best Thai food ever! Very fresh and amazing flavor in all 6 dishes we ordered at dinner. Apps were out of this world -- Roti with curry sauce was our most favorite, though the lettuce cups and vegetable tempura were delightful. Fanfreakingtastic! Honestly the best Thai we've ever eaten! When you see "no refunds or returns" on their Thai hot, you know it's going to be spicy and awesome ! We have eaten Thai all over the world including Thailand and this is probably the closest we've ever had to authentic. My husband is always very disappointed in Thai food in the states because he'll ask for Thai hot and it's typically not hot at all. However their Thai hot, again no refunds no returns, is really hot!!! Huge portion sizes, excellent protein, fresh vegetables, and the flavors are spot on! We have tried so many dishes here and never been disappointed in anything we've eaten. Do yourself a favor and order from here as you won't be disappointed. However I must stress if you can't handle hot do not get the hot because you can't return it...lol! read more

My favorite Thai place in Destin dine Inn was closed being understaffed due to Covid. I looked up Thai food and found Thai 9. Most Thai places have decent to good customer service, Thai 9 has by far the very best best customer service we have ever experienced at any Thai restaurant ever anywhere from Texas to Florida. The food was also very good, super delicious! I will definitely be coming back here very often. read more

Forget going to a touristy seafood place. I have NEVER left a review, I rarely think to ever do one. However, I was more than happily surprised by Thai 9! We were nearby shopping and stopped by. The place is clean with upbeat music. It was empty, which I'm so surprised by- this place deserves to be packed! The waiter was attentive and so nice- he even asked us what we thought of the spice level and if he should adjust it for future customers. He definitely cares about this restaurant, and it shows. I forgot this review in my drafts for a while- thinking about it now has me wishing i could go back! read more
