End result as this is half my fault I should never be in a rush and check before I drive away....however this is the last straw with this place we have had two visits w/o an issue out of 8. Staff is inattentive and never asks for the Panera card. This is the slowest panara ever faster to go to shelton then to go here. They never ask for ur card when you go when u give it to them they act confused. The cashier is the front our clueless girls. They are too busy texting to do their job. Thought this place coming to derby would be great instead it's awful and I will be going to shelton. This is the worst Panera I have been to! The service is slow and sometimes very rude. They also seem incapable of running a drive thru in any efficient manner. Any time I order a bagel with butter ON it I am treated like I am asking for the most complicated thing. So lets start off with we placed a CALL AHEAD ORDER IN!!!!! We get there, now they can't split up our bill (the girl upfront was super nice super helpful) they cancel the order since their registers cant comprehend to pay two ways... so I don't blame her at all she was awesome, and nice and apologetic. Now we go and wait for our food, which should've already been ready since we called ahead ..... 15 mins of standing and being stared at I finally said something because we had called in a half hour before we even got there... they pulled the receipt off the printer and said "oh this one" and had someone get started right away. 15 MINS LATER they tell us they had to make from scratch one of the orders.... Then the manager gives us 4 cookies and apologies for the wait... No problem buddy only get 1/2 hour lunch drove there waited another 1/2 hour... Oh and hearing the young employees talk down to each-other and use racist comments to each other... Needless to say we wont be ordering lunch at work there again. read more

I needed a quick coffee and bagel it was right off the exit. Drove 2 minutes away to my appointment and the coffee wasn't hot! Also, they asked me if I wanted my bagel with the cream cheese on or on the side. I repeated myself to make sure they heard me. I just got to the destination and Luke warm coffee and my bagel had no cream cheese. The server apologized about the wait but I don't know what she was doing. The food is horrible. The chicken comes in a bag. The managers that work there are so rude. I literally had to tell 4 different workers that I wanted a peanut butter and jelly sandwich. This is a review of this location in particular, not Panera in general. This location has friendly employees and the food always seems fresh. I recommend ordering from the Panera App if you are going to pick up food as the food is often ready in under 5 minutes. The dinning room is clean as is the pick up waiting area. The only issue we have had sometimes is when picking up at dinner time, sometimes certain bagels or bakery items have already sold out that day. read more

This Panera Bread is my go-to. Their food is always fresh and yummy. The wait time is rarely ever 5 minutes long and, in my experience, it's never packed. Comfy seating and I love the decoration. Very cozy environment, makes me want to curl up and sleep after a good turkey blt and chili mmm. Their prices are fantastic! Last time I went in I paid about $1.90 for two shots of espresso.Their sandwiches range from $5-$8 if I recall, but they come with a choice of either: bread, chips, banana or apple. Around $2.50 for their bagels with cream cheese. Sometimes the floors are sticky and I personally feel like they need a mopping but other than that- it's great. read more

Been here many times, out of convenience. Wanting somewhat healthier choices for a take-out treat and the drive through is nice... I'd say one out if every 10 orders comes out right. Just got home from our most recent visit and finally felt frustrated enough to yelp about it. For sides (with our sandwiches) we all ordered chips. Only one bag of chips is in the bag, the other sides are bread. The bread is not the best choice for a side with a sandwich? What's worse..the chips were a treat/reward for my kids for good behavior, they got to pick chips instead of an apple. They were pretty disappointed. The bagel with cream cheese came with no little packet of cream cheese. And the salad is gross with slimy wilted lettuce... thankfully the lettuce issue that we're having today is not common. Usually the food, even though it's not what we ordered, tastes decent/decent quality. It's frustrating to pay almost 40$ on food for a hungry family to get home and find that the order is wrong though. WHY have I not learned to thoroughly check our bag before leaving?! Every time this happens (just about every time we go here) I call the location and tell them what happened. They tell me to bring the receipt in and they'll give us the missing food or correct the order. I don't have time to go back out and drive 20minutes away to correct an order. There's usually a few weeks or a month before we're back in the area and go back and by that time I don't have the receipt or memory of what was forgotten etc. ... Excellent customer service. I had done a mobile/rapid pick up order for lunch on a Saturday and when getting back to work and handing out lunch one of the salads was missing. I called and spoke to someone and they were quick to replace the missing lunch. They delivered it to my location because I was within minutes away. They not only replaced the salad but also gave us extra sides and a sleeve of cookies. This is the third time I've ordered Panera delivery and received a salad with no dressing. Order was sloppily put together and soup was ice cold. Manager offers to run out a dressing or I can come pick it up. I have limited time for lunch. Next time I will order uber eats, they actually get orders correct. Get it together Panera. Normally great service running pretty quickly but today was slow and shorted my order. Not sure what was up.

Don't use the drive thru!! Our soups were 2/3 filled. One was almost all broth and watered down. It was gross looking! I had this black bean soup many times (not this location) and never did it look or taste like this. The "chicken" flatbread had hardly any chicken on it. The cinnamon bun was dry. It was over all a really bad experience. We have been to many Paneras and never had these issues. We did eat inside here once before and it was OK, a few issues but we gave them another try since they were new. I think we'll stick with other locations we can trust. read more

Conflicted...We have had delivery which was awesome..Many more great experiences.. but today I was totally hurt by an employee that pointed out stains on my shirt. I have a disability. It makes my hand shake. So these things happen..I could not wait to leave. We choice that over staying to eat. I have Parkinsons...At an early age... I stopped here to pick up lunch for my office staff and when I returned to my office, I realized part of my order was missing. When I called the store, I spoke to the manager named Alexis who was extremely professional, apologetic and helpful. She offered to deliver the missing item to my office and also added in a few pastries for the error. Alexis turned a frustrating issue into a very pleasant experience. Nice store with very healty menu. Very nice fireplace and very clean. The manager was very friendly. A little pricy but definitely worth it.
