Pho Tom... What a dish !!

Well, I was taken back a bit by the location in a busy grocery store strip mall. What a diamond in the rough !! A cold dreary day called for a steaming bowl of Pho Tom (shrimp) and a pot of tea... Excellent flavor and very nice owners. I would highly recommend this place as a sanctuary for the cold. I will certainly be back soon.

Easily the best pho in CT! The broth is so savory that adding sriracha and hoisin sauce is unnecessary, which is something I've never experienced before. It was truly the perfect pho, especially on a cold day.

Authentic Vietnamese food with a great menu selection. They even have Banh mi! They also give good portions...I have 5 shrimps in my seafood bowl!! The service is quick and friendly. The only thing I noticed when I walked in is the strong smell of chemicals almost like a nail salon.

My friend and I drove from New Haven to try this place because we were craving authentic, Vietnamese food! There are definitely not a lot of Viet places in CT so we were lucky this one was close by! For reference, my friend and I are both culturally Viet and from Boston/Southern CA. I believe this place was newly remodeled/renovated inside. It was very clean and I loved the aesthetic! One of the ladies that was helping us was definitely one of the owners and she was so sweet! The owners are actually Vietnamese so that is how you know you can trust them. They have a bunch of Viet dishes on the menu (pho, banh mi, bun, com) and much more but we were both craving bun bo hue so we decided to get that. And it was pretty legit! It wasn't the best, but it definitely got the craving satisfied. We both wished the broth was a little less sweet and more rich in flavor. We would come back and have it again and try other dishes as well. Check out this mom and pop, authentic Vietnamese shop whenever you get the chance!

While I was a fan of Phoenix Vietnamese Cuisine, DiBe Kitchen has somehow surpassed it in every aspect, from its renovated modern interior, and even to the quality of its food, which far exceeded my expectations. They've streamlined their menu, focusing on their signature dishes with added options like build-your-own bowls, expanded banh mi and vegetable choices, drinks, and even desserts. This updated menu, with dishes like the Philly cheese steak banh mi and veggie pho, clearly aims to appeal to a broader audience. They've also significantly increased their brand awareness by using branded bowls and takeout containers. The updated menu is more visually appealing and informative, with added pictures and descriptions, especially helpful for those unfamiliar with Vietnamese cuisine. I was initially concerned that all the recent updates they made aesthetically and the less traditional menu might mask potential shortcomings in food quality, but my worries were quickly dispelled once I tried the food. While Phoenix's bun bo hue was already excellent, DiBe has elevated it further. I had previously "critiqued" Phoenix's bun bo hue for being on the milder side, but DiBe's version is now spicier with even bolder flavors, and their pho and banh mi remains exceptional as before. I cannot recommend this place enough, and it deserves to be packed every night. I hope word-of-mouth brings in more customers, and I wish them success for years to come.

Dibe is an absolute gem in Derby! Their pho is incredibly flavorful -- rich broth, tender noodles, and fresh ingredients that make every bite comforting and delicious. The attention to detail doesn't stop with the food -- the packaging is excellent, keeping everything hot, fresh, and neatly arranged for takeout. You can really tell they care about both quality and presentation. Highly recommend Dibe for anyone craving authentic, well-made pho!

Went here for the first time after hearing friends rave about it, and I'm so glad we did. We ordered the pho and the bún bò Hue, and I was absolutely delighted by the broths-they were rich, flavorful, and authentic. Even my parents, who are usually very critical when it comes to Vietnamese food not tasting "just right," gave their approval. The portions were just right--not too big, not too small-and the prices were very reasonable. Everyone talks about their bánh mì, so we ordered one to go since we were already full. I also really liked that the menu isn't overly complicated; they keep it focused, which means the dishes they do serve are done really well. Service was excellent. When we arrived, the restaurant wasn't too busy, but by the time we left, it was a full house. Despite that, the staff kept up with both dine-in and takeout orders smoothly. Overall, this is a fantastic spot in Connecticut for authentic Vietnamese food--nice to know I don't have to trek into NYC to get the real deal. Highly recommend!

Safe to say this is the best PHO I've had in Connecticut! The food is fresh, the pho itself has the most light and savory broth, it's a great portion for such a low price, workers are very nice and accommodating and do their best to fulfill their customers needs! The ambiance as well is clean and calm and quiet I love this place! This place has definitely made it on my favorite restaurant list! Don't miss out and check it out you won't regret it!!

I was craving pho on a cold Saturday morning and stumbled upon this place. I came not too long after opening and there were already other people dining, but the restaurant was really quiet. There was nice cafe music being played which contributed to a very nice and calm atmosphere to have a cozy bowl of soup. The interior is nice and clean. With modern wood finishes which remind me of Japanese restaurant interiors. I really like the variety of the menu and the large images which are very helpful to have an idea of what you're ordering. I ordered the beef pho and Thai tea. The pho was a nice clean flavor. It had that faint aroma of cinnamon and cloves that I really like in a pho. The meat servings were plentiful. I only took off one start because my preference is for my pho to have a deeper, richer umami flavor. The noodles were perfect nice and bouncy/ chewy. The Thai tea was nice to balance out the spice as I added some Siracha and jalapeños to give my soup some heat and acidity. The menu showed a tempting image of bahmi, so I ordered one to go. It was packaged so cute. The banhmi was DELICIOUS. They weren't stingy on the meat. The baguette wasn't breaking my teeth, and my favorite, the pickled veggies and cilantro added the perfect freshness. The pate they use is also really good. The banhmi was my favorite. I would recommend this place and I will be back for the banhmi especially.

    Beef Tender Pho (Phở Tái)

I've been trying to find good pho for a while now and this is it! I only wish I found this place sooner. The broth was rich in flavor, the beef was abundant and the portion was huge. This is better than my usual pho spot in LA. It is absolutely worth the price! I had a few bites of my friend's bun thit nuong and the chicken was delicious! The lady who took our order was also very nice and friendly. Background music was calming too. 10/10 will be coming again very soon!

I thought we were going to an abandoned dunkin doughnuts spot that they just kind of bought and took over. Walking into the restaurant you get the instant blow of PHO in your face. That' is NOT a bad thing at all! When you're pho broth game is that GOOD that is how it suppose to be! Whom ever made it. Hats off to ya! That was one of the best broth's I had in years on the east coast! NYC needs to up their game. They have high end, low end, or just average of viet food but in CT. I'm jelly cause this chef is 100% legit. Let's put it this way. That pho is so good. When you leave the place. It left a stank on my clothes! If you're a fan of pho. AGAIN. It's not a bad thing at all! That's when you know someone in the back perfected that recipe. I'm sorry I had to repeat it several times how good it was. Portions, cuts of meat, everything was on point. I would just come here for that alone if I ever drive back here. The spring rolls on the other hand was standard. Nothing too crazy, nothing special about it. I was hoping they use the clear raps and pan fried/deep fried it with that instead but we got to regular spring roll wraps which is fine. All in all, if you're ever in this area. HIGHLY recommend !

Had Bun Xao and Pho Ga, and my son meant to order rare beef pho but accidentally ordered beef stew, but he had zero regrets it was delicious with huge chunks of beef. My Pho was excellent, but I would have appreciated a bit more protein and it seemed to be lacking a little in saltiness could have been light on salt, soy or fish sauce. Easily remedied at the table. It's close to a sporting complex, in the same plaza as a larger brewery. Not the easiest to spot, will need the gps to assist. The inside is sparse in decoration but the staff was very friendly. We got the spring rolls, the fried wonton, a pho and a bahn mi. Food came out quick, we took pics then dug in. The wontons had a good pork and scallion filling. They didn't need sauce to taste good, which is a good sign. The spring rolls were okay, crispy but oily and the dipping sauce was weak. The pho was good, meat was tender, noodles were okay, and soup base was chicken broth with spices. The bahn mi was pretty good as well. Pickled veggies were very sweet, the ham was tender enough and the mayo butter was heavy handed. The bread was crusty but soft, not what I consider to be proper bahn mi bread, but good enough. Price was about 45 for the two apps and entrees, which is about average for that style of meal. It's not anything to write home about. I would recommend ordering to go mainly because the dining space is right underneath a wrestling ring and the floor shakes when someone gets body slammed below. But it's good enough pho for that area
