We were in town and decided to give this place a try. When we pulled in, the parking lot--and the restaurant itself--were empty, but the atmosphere immediately stood out. It has a classic diner feel with booths and neon signs, and the aroma of freshly baked bread filled the space. The service was fast and I really appreciated that. I ordered a mini sandwich with turkey, Swiss, banana peppers, tomatoes, lettuce, mayo, and mustard on wheat bread. My husband got the chicken Philly, and we also picked up an oatmeal raisin cookie. We couldn't wait and ended up eating the cookie first--it was delicious: soft, slightly gooey in the middle, and not overly sweet. My turkey sandwich was delightful. The bread had just the right amount of firmness on the outside while staying soft inside, giving it a great texture. My husband's chicken Philly was even better--warm, well-seasoned chicken with perfectly sautéed peppers. Overall, we really enjoyed our visit and would happily come back to try more sandwiches. First time I ever had salad there and it was really good you can order any sub and turn it into a salad. I ordered ham and swiss salad. It was their version of cobb salad minus the hard boiled egg. Wish we could purchase a couple of rolls of bread to take home! The service is quick and friendly and we love the rewards program. Super happy with my large Turkey club must a been 8 pieces of bacon on there! Horseradish mayo is so good with it. Won't go anywhere else for my subs from now on. Unfortunately I have to give one star. Went in tonight to get a sandwich. Ordered a large chicken Philly with hot sauce. They literally took one scoop of chicken, onions, and peppers, and spread it thin over the long bread. There was more hot sauce soaked into the bread than there was meat. The cheese was barely there. For $12.99 this was highly disappointing. I can go to Jersey Mike's and get a loaded cheese steak for the same price. The bread was fresh and tasty, too bad there was nothing on it. read more

Fantastic. It's hard to say more than that. My daughter hates bread but somehow loves subs from DiBella's so I knew I had to try it. This place makes the most del subs ever. If you want a great sandwich, give them a shot. First, they use fresh, high quality ingredients which is where it starts. Next, you choose the veggies, toppings and condiment. Now what you need is for your sandwich to be made exactly as you order it. DiBellas has some of the nicest staff I've ever encountered. Everyone is very neat, clean and well groomed (nothing worse than having to order from someone who looks like they're wearing last week's dirty laundry and hasn't combed their hair in a few days), very polite (not over the top kiss up, but they don't act as if working there is the last thing they want to do), and they make your sandwich EXACTLY as you order it. My husband and I just tried them for the first time a few months ago and there was a slight mix up and communication issue on BOTH parts, theirs and ours, however the manager reached out to me (I didn't contact her) and corrected our order and we've been hooked ever since. Despite the mix up, the staff were extremely pleasant every time we've had any interactions with them. We don't eat take out very often but this is now our "go to" for subs anytime we order subs. I highly recommend DiBella's for the most delicious, well made sandwiches you ever had. Note: there are two subs that are nearly identical except for one type of meat. if you order one of each you won't be able to tell the difference. I'm a little disappointed......It aint the same. My mistake....Watch them make your sandwich, otherwise you may be disappointed. I ordered the biggest Godfather with EVERYTHING on it and with oil & vinegar but except hot peppers. I left the counter to pay and my sandwich was already done and waiting for me to pick up. Pretty damn fast. I should have realized that was too fast. When I got home I noticed that there was "some" meat on it, and a "little" iceberg lettuce but smothered with mayonnaise. No cheese, no peppers, pickles, olives, onions, tomatoes, or cucumbers, nothing else! cost $14.00 plus tax. Moral: Make sure you watch them make your sandwich. read more

Had my boys pick up subs from DiBella's (Milford) this evening, I ordered a tuna sub w/ oil & vinegar, mayo, and veggies. Get the sun out of the bag and it's a complete mess ??? When I say a "mess", I couldn't even pick the freaking thing up to eat it ! It was soaking wet, not cut all the way through and sloppy !! I have never gotten a bad sub at the Milford store. I usually order online and then go pick up my order. It's so easy to use their online ordering. My sandwiches have always been made just how I want them to be. The ingredients have always been fresh. The bread at DiBella's is so fresh and soft. You can't go wrong ordering a sub from DiBella's. You can customize your sub just the way you want it. And once you have a sub on their bread, you'll continue to go back their again and again. Solid sandwich shop I often go to while visiting the Connecticut Post Mall. The large is super huge. And good bread, toppings and service. I've been here a few times and always been happy. I wanted to try Mike's Deli next door today, but they closed early with the snow. It's not worth going super out of your way for but definitely better than Subway. Good stuff. read more

I've never been to a DiBella's before, but was willing to try a new sub shop since the 48 hours prior I had experienced a bad Subway restaurant. Similar to Subway, you approach the counter for your made-to-order sub. At DiBella's the bread is delicious and a harder, more Italian style bread than Subway. They packed my turkey sub with a nice amount of meat and the flavors were all delicious. I did think it was a little expensive, but it was worth it to try something new. read more

DiBellas is our go to place for takeout subs and catering for tailgating, casual events. The place is always clean, ingredients fresh and staff helpful. There are 3 size choices, 4 breads and a selection of hot and cold choices. The toppings are always fresh and plentiful. Always something for everyone in our house! This trip was extra special.
