Decided today would be a nice day for Soup & Sandwich so it was suggested that I stop by Panera Bread in Conyers. Ordered a favorite staple of mine; a bowl of Chicken Soup and a half Chicken, Avocado Melt. When I received my order I was disappointed to find the portion of Avocado on my half sandwich was "LESS than a Quarter of a small Avocado" as explained by the Expeditor! This is probably one of the best Panera locations I've been to. Although I live nowhere near here, I had a meeting at this location and was pleased with the courteous staff and the cleanliness of the restaurant. For a late afternoon, there were not very many people there and my order (a simple mango smoothie) came just as fast as I could order it. The young lady taking my order was very friendly and helped me get through a mini indecisive phase and suggested a mango smoothie which I really liked. Even though the meeting lasted about three hours, no one from the staff bothered us and asked when we were leaving (some places will kick you out after a long one frame lol) and I really appreciated that. We've recently placed 2 on line orders at Panera in Conyers. The first order was completely wrong and although Panera did reimburse our account, it was such a waste of money for Panera and for us. The second order was placed 1/13/22 on line. I waited 45 minutes past my pick up time and it still wasn't correct when I picked it up. The girls working on the order were overwhelmed, didn't check anyone's order to see if it was right, made me go to the front to get the cookie I ordered and I still had to wait on the smoothie's for another 5 minutes. I understand restaurants being short staffed, so maybe don't accept on line orders if you can't fill them. I was hearing multiple complaints from other customers while I was waiting. I also heard one of the workers continually complain that she wished she was home. I understand her frustration, but don't let your customers hear your complaints. Pleasant service. Good food. My meal was brought out to me after I found a seat which is uncommon and nice. I ordered some pastries with my meal that were forgot about and I brought this to my servers attention but they seemed a bit frustrated by me asking about something they forgot. They were promptly brought to the table on a platter which showed nice attention to detail. I felt a bit skimped on the portion of soup I received in my breadbowl compared to previous visits. This was NOT my first visit to this Panera bread located in Conyers; however, this visit was the worst. I've visited several times and they've been out of ingredients, but this time they didn't inform me prior to ordering. As far as panera goes the food was good. The big downfall here is the service. It took a long time to get the food to me and my boyfriend. We ordered simple quick things as well, taking 15 minutes to get a bagel is unacceptable. There was little to no communication between the front and rear of the restaurant. I love Panera Bread for its menu selection but the service at the Conyers location is subpar. I often order for meetings and use the online service to have the food ready when I arrive. On most occasions it is never ready. Several minutes after the promised time. Even after the wait, the order is often.....very often, incomplete. (Or wrong altogether). Delivery is terrible. I think you should take this option away since you guys have a hard time. This is the 2nd time I've had to wait for over 90 minutes for my delivery and my soup is cold. Set an accurate expectation. If it's going to take 90 minutes to 2 hours then say that from the beginning. Instead, there's a tracker that says you are about 10 minutes away even though I'm waiting an hour. You can't even call and check on your order. No one ever answers and the voicemail is full. Today was a very disappointing visit. First the young lady taking our order at the drive thru didn't take our order correct. So we were told to pull up and someone would bring out the rest of our order. 10 minutes later I went in and it was sitting on the counter. The manager took responsibility for it and gave me a refund for her sandwich. He was apologetic. We got our food home and it went very down hill from there. My daughters sandwich had a hair on it so she couldn't eat that half. My sandwich was wrong. It should have been ham and it was turkey. I checked the receipt to make sure I ordered right, I did. I like to eat healthy so I prefer eating at a restaurant that provides a variety of choices other than hamburgers and fried chicken, however, after repeated attempts at my local Panera Conyers, Hwy 138/McDonough Road, Cafe# 202558, I will find any other alternative. Almost every time I have visited that location there has been an issue with the food I order or they are out of items on the menu. In spite of their shortcomings, I have returned because the previous managers have been understanding, considerate and eager to regain my business. All that ended today. I placed a delivery order and it was completely wrong. I called Panera to correct the error and the person I spoke to was very rude and belligerent. I asked to speak to the manager and she told me she did not know the manager's name. I heard the manager speaking to her in the background and the person finally conceded the manager's name is "Ashley". But when I requested Ashley's last name, she abruptly hung up on me. Panera is always good food. This one was painfully slow on a non-busy Saturday in July. Drive through was somewhat busy, and so customers at tables seemed to have long waits. This restaurant is sad. They already had issues, got a new manager (I was told) and it's back where it was. The customer service is horrible and they had a problem when I asked them to clean off there dirty tables. I asked the cashier if she could clean off the tables because they were dirty. She said okay and walked off talking to a make co-worker who was working in what liked like his regular street clothes. I waited but she disappeared in the back so she wouldn't have to do it. Then I went to a lady who I believed was the manager. She said she would clean them. I am so utterly disappointed in the food at this Panera. The first thing-the apples... they were out on 3 occasions- last week I went to get the Fuji apple salad- they were out of chicken so they politely let me know that they did not have it (after I ordered) but did give me the opportunity to substitute the meat... They are always out of something. I usually stop by in the mornings to get a strawberry parfait and a breakfast sandwich. Without fail, they are almost always out of either strawberries or the granola. Out of 5 days, they may have all of the ingredients for a parfait maybe 1 day of the 5. I have started calling from my cell before wasting my time. Take it off the menu if you're not going to order the needed ingredients! I'm pregnant so this has been a craving of mine's. Smelled like musty mildew and dirty mop when we walked in. All tables were dirty. People working there were ghetto and unprofessional. Panara is usually nice, not this location though. I was disappointed that there were only 2 bagels in the Conyers, GA store at 3:30 on Bagel Tuesday...however, what truly disgusted me was not JUST the flies on the pastries, but the fact that the worker I told about the flies just grunted and shrugged. Normally the service here is pretty good, but this particular evening was different. I ordered a sandwich and a salad in the drive thru, got to the window and sat there for a minute.
