The Taste of Heaven just happens to be one. I recently spent nearly $70 on 2 chitterling dinners ( don't judge) but what I got was 2 rice dinners with just a coating of chitterlings on top. After waiting over 20 minutes, being only customer when I arrived , I was told that there wasn't enough chitterlings to fill both my orders and offered me oxtails on the platter with the least. Tired of waiting I agreed. When I tasted the chitterlings and the oxtails it was obvious that they had been thawed a couple of time. They were so over seasoned and spicy hot that it was closer to a taste of hell! On a positive note, the place was very clean with the strong scent of Pine Sol in the air, and the lady who took my order was very nice. And then argued with me when I made it clear that asking was inappropriate. Incredibly rude and a terrible way to treat customers. I should have made more of a scene, but I calmly made my point clear, no need for more drama. Will not be going back, and will suggest nobody else does either - if you want a reasonable buffet experience anyway. Edited to add: After writing this review, I decided to research to see if I was the only one that had a bad experience, and found a LOT. On Yelp, they have more one star reviews that two, three or four stars - making me think that many of the 5 star reviews are not legit. Just go to Yelp, and sort by newest first, to see that 3 of the last 5 reviews were one star - 4 of 6 if you include mine. Also, according to the AJC, this restaurant has had multiple failed health inspections in just the last five years: November 2025: Scored 59/U (Unsatisfactory). Violations included food not held at proper temperatures and cross-contamination issues. December 2021: Scored 52/U (Unsatisfactory). The restaurant failed its routine inspection after staff were observed failing to wash hands, alongside improper food storage and temperature violations. May 2021: Scored 37/U (Unsatisfactory) 37? 37?? That's not just a fail, that's a not even trying.
