Cracker Barrel is a place that my family goes for the nostalgia. Lots of good memories there while I was growing up. I haven't been to one in years, but went with my entire family this past Saturday. It was just like I remember! Cute country store with lots of tempting things that I don't need to buy and a moderate wait of 35 minutes, not too bad to seat a party of nine. The food is consistently good. We were starving by the time we got there and they got the biscuits and cornbread out quick! I had the homestyle chicken with two sides. The chicken was bomb and it's two huge pieces of it. I also had turnip greens which were really good and the macaroni and cheese, which was very bland. We had a top notch experience at Cracker Barrel this Saturday at 10:25am! We were seated quickly, tables were clean, and our server Wendy was super quick, efficient, friendly, and thought of every detail to make our meal perfect. First bad meal I've had at a Cracker Barrel. Chopped steak was paper thin and way overcooked. Could not cut it with a fork. Barely could cut with a butter knife. I can not comment on the food because we were never waited on. We were seated promptly upon entering, then nothing for at least TWENTY MINUTES. No drink order taken or even acknowledgment given we existed. It wasn't until another couple walked in and were seated at the next table over. I saw the hostess go back to tell server guests were in their section.... we were also in that section.... the server walked right past us and went to take that couples drink order.... we got up and walked out. Shaniqua was our server, she was a nice server however she wasn't really a good one. We ordered the biscuits before the meal and never got them, she didn't even explain why we didn't get them, just never said anything about it. When our food came out we didn't have silverware on the table. I'm used to having excellent service at Cracker Barrel. I ordered Grandma's Breakfast Platter, it was delicious as always. Went here in Sunday. Ordered hot chocolate and could drink it in one sip it was not hot at all Waitress said she got it out the machine which I wasn't sure what that meant. The best Cracker Barrel I have been to yet! Andddd I go to a lot while I am traveling. The second runner up would be a location I visited in TN. I was on my way to the airport back home in NY after visiting family in GA. Why is this Cracker Barrel rated so poorly as an overall rating? We stopped in for a late breakfast on Tuesday, July 9th, 2024. The food was HOT. We have never been to a Cracker Barrel and our food being hot. I actually always have to send it back to be heated up every visit at all the other locations (downside that I have recognized throughout the years). The air conditioning here is blasting and it makes it very comfortable to get out of the summer heat. If you have a sweater in your car, I'd bring it! I ordered the build your own breakfast: Fried Catfish (Perfectly crispy and fish quality was delicious) with tarter sauce and lemon Scrambled Eggs (Cooked perfectly) Cheese Grits (The best - it was a great balance of creamy and the cheese was layered nicely and melted). The biscuits were so fluffy and the gravy had so much flavor. After trying this amazing location, I am not sure how I am going to feel about the other locations. I will still enjoy but I've been spoiled here. I will certainly return and I have told all my family and friends in Georgia and it has only been a few hours. Our service was amazing and our waitress really kept checking in on us. She was professional and kind. I had about 1/4 cup left of iced tea and she brought me another to enjoy. I ordered 1/2 sweetened and 1/2 unsweetened and it was the perfect balance. My significant other also said the coffee was flavorful and VERY HOT. Just how we like it. We even had such a wonderful table behind us in prayer and we felt the entire experience was moving. So beautiful to see others in community and connecting. The gift shop did have some variety and it is always fun to explore. The woman at the cashier was upbeat. They did have a special sale for candies (I was purchasing candy for the flight) and she pointed this out in such a caring and sweet way. *While I felt like I received wonderful service and delicious food, I was a bit sticker shocked when we received the bill. I feel like the Cracker Barrel prices have gone up so much in the past year since they have upgraded the menu. I hope Cracker Barrel can still keep the quality and not increase the prices too much for families all around the U.S.A. We visit this Cracker Barrel about once or twice a month. About half the time we call and pick up food to go. The food is always good. I'm not into a lot of fried food, but they do have some grilled options. Their grilled trout, chicken, shrimp, and catfish are all good. They also have salads and baked potatoes among other things. This is the worse this restaurant has ever been! The biscuits are always overcooked and hard! Biscuits are supposed to be soft! The service is terrible!! My family sat for 15 minutes before we received a drink order, and they were not even busy! The food has really gone downhill! It took forever to even get refills on the drinks! Cracker Barrel has always been a chain restaurant favorite of mine. I love their hash brown casserole, chicken n dumplins, mashed potatoes with brown gravy, carrots, biscuits, and pancakes. Today, my work ordered from here for lunch. I can't speak on ambiance because we ordered takeout, but I guarantee it's standard to every Cracker Barrel I've been to--country, casual, and comfortable. With that said, service is lacking in making sure orders are accurate. I got Momma's Pancake Breakfast with blueberry pancakes, blueberry syrup, bacon (specified crispy), egg whites, and decaf coffee. The pancakes were great as always and a nice big portion! The price for all of this was also great ($13.17). Sadly, they forgot my blueberry syrup as well as coffee. Thankfully there was a container of maple syrup in our office refrigerator so I just used that. Otherwise, I would've had dry pancakes for lunch. The bacon was also disappointingly flimsy and chewy instead of the crispy I ordered. When it came to my star selection, what would've been 4 stars for a classic chain (I don't rate most chains a 5 unless they really impress me) became a 3 due to the several mistakes listed. I'd still patron the restaurant, especially because I am always willing to give a second chance. However, on my own, I would probably dine in in person instead of to go, to make sure everything was accurate. read more

She had a smile on her face, joked with us, and told us multiple times not to hurry but enjoy our visit. The Biscuit Beignets with the fruit cup was the perfect breakfast decision for me. I didn't want the typical breakfast meals, so I settled on these. The beignets had good taste and texture, and the side of butter pecan sauce was just enough extra sweetness without going over the top. The fruit was pineapple, blackberries, and blueberries. A few weeks ago, I visited Conyers location, and when I got in my car, I began to itch uncontrollably on my the back of my thighs. When I got home, the itching was unbearable. I went to Rockdale ER and was told to take Tylenol and rub hydrocortisone on it, not help! Then, I saw my cardiologist who prescribed a steroid pack that worked a little while. Finally, I went to the dermatologist who prescribed a gel. Approximately over $100 later, I was better, but I still couldn't pinpoint where I had been bitten so brutally. We even opened an insect bomb in my car. Well, today, 09/17/2024, I realized that I had been bitten in Cracker Barrel!!! As I waited for Angel to fix my to-go order, I sat in one of the woven chairs at the checkerboard table. Within 2 minutes, my thighs started itching so badly!! I had to hop up and run to the restroom and scratch my thighs! Luckily, I had Benadryl spray in my purse to temporarily calm my itch. I asked for a manager, and while waiting for him to appear, another young lady in the restaurant told me that she and her mother experienced the same thing at a prior visit. She said that she was bitten through her tights!! I showed him my blistered, red legs. Then, Ms. Blue walked out, saw me itching, and immediately said, "You must have sat in that rocking chair?" I said, "Yes, as I continued to scratch!" She stated that an employee had experienced the same thing. Now, if that's the case, why hadn't the chair been removed? About 10 minutes later, while waiting to order my birthday dessert, which they didn't have anything except chocolate cake, I paid for my food and left itching until I made it home! The manager and the hostess turned the chair over to see what could have possibly bitten me and others. I guess they couldn't see anything, so the chair was turned over and remained in the same place! Then, to add insult to injury, the corn muffins were as hard as rocks!! Everyone one of them!! Obviously old! I called back to the restaurant to share my concerns, and the manager didn't answer, but Ms. Blue assured me that when I return ( not anytime soon) to pick up fresh bread and dessert. I also asked her if the rockers had been used, and she said that they have to contact corporate officials! "Are you kidding me?" So, Cracker Barrel management doesn't have the autonomy to make a decision of their own, but will continue to allow people to get bitten! Unbelievable! The swelling has diminished a bit because I put the gel from the dermatologist on it heavily. read more

Did not receive service this morning after sitting and waiting for 20 mins. I did not receive any acknowledgement from the three waitresses that appeared to be assigned to the area in which I was seated. I requested to speak with the manager on site to share my experience (or lack of), she approached me on the phone with her prep chef that wasn't in yet for his shift and she only offered to sit me in another section and advised me"she was sorry." Today is Mother's Day so my family and I anticipated for Cracker Barrel to be busy. We waited 45 minutes to be seated. After ordering our food, the waitress informed us approximately 15 minutes later that they were out of roast beef, so my mother, my spouse, my son and I ordered something else. Food was brought out for my two sons and spouse, but my mom and I waited another 30 minutes for our meal. My meal was lukewarm as if it had been sitting for a while. I was disappointed . Customer service was excellent despite the fact that the restaurant was packed, and there was not an empty seat in the house! The menu has expanded.
