Got an açaí bowl most of it is premade the açaí was rock solid. Flavor was fine once melted down. Not sure what was up with the blueberries they definitely aren't fresh and seemed like they were in a weird syrup. Definitely could do without those. The granola and bananas were ok. Wouldn't be my first choice for the açaí bowl. I'm sure the smoothies are fine since they just blend everything. First time trying the food and I must say I was really disappointed. I had the Baja wrap and it had zero seasoning and the pickled red onions tastes like straight vinegar! I only ate 1/2 and called it quits. Maybe the other food is better but that was a waste. read more

Walked in no one said a word they were all in the kitchen area. even though they turned at looked at us a few times. we stood there patiently as I could see they were busy. but it was a hot mess. The kitchen was nasty beyond belief. they were slipping and sliding on the floor. something was burning but what took the cake young person was making a sandwich left grill and went to board area and set that persons sandwich on top of a mess of lettuce and cut up veggies that had been left there previously. This Tropical Smoothie is located in the Village at Millers Chapel right on Highway 20 in Conyers. I was in the area working and before I hit the freeway back to the city, I was interested in a smoothie in some sort to keep me going until dinner time. I have had the food at Tropical Smoothie, and I am not a big fan...especially for the price you pay...but I did not get food here, so I won't dive too far in there! Smoothie wise, I am not a fan of fruit smoothies, so I normally stray from these places and just hit a coffee shop. However, times are changing and Tropical Smoothie now serves a few sweet chocolate/coffee based smoothies! The one I am a fan of is the Mocha Madness, which is a yogurt based smoothie that features a few of my favorite things...chocolate, coffee and cappuccino! As you can imagine, the smoothie was great and hit the spot for the ride home! Service was decent here. I was the only one in the lobby at the time of my order and the two Associates took a few minutes to acknowledge me and finally take my order. At that time it was a short interaction and then the smoothie was just placed on the counter once completed. Nothing terrible, just a little impersonal, but it's smoothies and ain't that serious! I love Tropical Smoothie Cafe and eat there frequently, but I won't return to this store again. The employees couldn't be more unfriendly or rude--attitudes depend on the employee and day. Apparently, the store's manager never explained the concept of "customer service". They stop selling food items an hour before closing, but you can still order a Smoothie. read more

I ordered online for drive up. When I got there I parked (as the app instructed) I called the number it was busy. There were NO CUSTOMERS inside so Im not understanding why the line was busy. I called 3 more times before just getting out the car my myself to get my smoothie. When I walked in NO ONE greeted me, the phone was off the hook, (hence that's why the line was busy), the two young employees were in full conversation (not acknowledging me or the other customer that walked in after me). 2.5 stars on customer service and 4 stars for my smoothie. read more

On the hunt for a reasonably healthy lunch, a quick Yelp search led me here. I ordered a combo with a detox smoothie, pesto chicken flatbread and chips. They were busy around lunchtime, so expect a small wait. First the good.... The chicken pesto flat bread was delicious and filling. Unfortunately, the detox smoothie was bland. It wasn't the worst I've had, but I probably wouldn't order it again. Customer service wasn't the greatest, but they were busy. Tropical Smoothie is one of very few restaurants in the area with healthy options. I ordered a island green smoothie with ginger and extra bananas... I couldn't even drink it with a straw because of the junks of Ice that would constantly clog the straw. Also it tasted so watered down! You'd expect it to be creamy since I added banana. I'm very disappointed. read more

Came it at 7:22 pm and the worker said that they weren't taking orders in the store anymore tonight. After a line of questioning another girl clarified that they weren't taking them in the store but we could place an order online. The first girl had us believing that we drove 30 min and couldn't place an order at all. I don't understand why they stop taking orders inside 40 min before closing. They don't have on name tags so I don't know the names but the first girl was about 5'2" with a pink shirt and the second one was about 57 lighter complexion with a blue/green shirt. So my cousin was kind enough to bring me lunch and introduced me to this place. I had the spicy Thai chicken wrap and it was warm, fresh, and full of chicken and veggies. I'm not a fan of spicy food and since he brought the food as a surprise, I couldn't be upset because it wasn't that spicy to me. I'm not sure the sauce that was used but it was almost a sweet and tangy type of sauce that worked really well with the other ingredients. I also had a watermelon mojito smoothie and that was delicious!!! I'm sure if I had one of these near my home it would definitely be a take out staple. This was my first visit at Tropical Smoothie Café in Conyers as my nail salon is next door. Needless to say, I will not return as I am a proponent for great customer service. I placed my order for a smoothie at 3:13, with only one smoothie order ahead of me. At 3:26 I asked for a refund because the two teenagers, who were taking incessantly about what they did last night, made my smoothie incorrectly for the second time!! Oh, and the manager just walked around the shop and did not manage the kids to get the orders out. We got 4 APPLE kale slaw and not 1 had any apples, it was not fresh at all, it looked and taste like it was sitting in the fridge for a week if not longer. This place is painfully slow . I waited 15 mins for me to receive my order . Also the sizing of the kale salad is a joke, the size of it is for a toy . After being to several locations , my kale salad has never been this small and unfulfilling . Don't call it a side item , just call it a "bite" because one bite and it's gone .
