My boyfriend and I came into the restaurant for dinner around 8pm with his son. We stopped at the kiosks to place our order instead of going to the counter because the counter looked busy. We placed our orders and when i addressed who I believe was the manager, a man wearing a grey polo and hat, to get our drink cups, he told me no, it would come with my food. Ive never been inside a Panera that wont give you a drink cup without your food. I had to ask the man again to get cups and I asked and clarified that we werent allowed our drinks before our food? instead of getting the cups, he pestered more about the size. this was unprofessional. we had already paid, my name was on the screen for my food, its ridiculous to give the customer the run around over their drink cup. The portions are lacking for the amount of money you pay. I spent over 40 dollars for two you pick twos meals. I got half a tuna sandwich and was very disappointed by the amount of tuna on the sandwich. When I went up to ask for a bit more because it was all bread and barely any tuna at all I was informed it was an up charge for extra and that they measure it.... I will not be returning. read more

I was the second person in line behind a young man placing an order who was on his phone the whole time. Unfortunately, he was more focused on his phone call than placing and paying for his order. Consequently, it took me several long minutes before I was up to place my order. So, I ordered my breakfast sandwich and the young man at the register informed me that breakfast ended. I asked what time it ends? He replied, 10:30. I asked what time is it? He replied 10:32. I pointed out that I had been in line for several minutes due to the person in front of me being on his phone. Came here for lunch, went to where one would expect to order food and was approached by an employee who asked if we were paying with card or with cash. I told her card, she asked me if she could help me get on a kiosk, I asked if employees didn't take orders for customers, she replied "we really encourage customers to use the kiosks". I love Panera's food - a lot. We visited this location today and it was a little rough. As usual with Panera the order line was confusing and the waiting area awkward. The staff however were all very nice and professional, trying the make the best of the jumbled layout and irritated customers. Again, awesome food. We tried the self-ordering system which was not so user friendly as it was missing a back button so it kept taking me back to the log in screen. I've been here multiple times and can say, as I see will be backed up by other reviews, that parking can be a real problem which is the ONLY reason for my 3-Star rating. The managers here seem very mean to their younger employees. I was trying to pick up my dinner for my family and I overheard an older woman yelling at a younger employee . It was very busy and they looked to be very flustered and confused. I have my own child at home and I would be very upset to see a manager treating my child like this. Panera bread is a great place to come for a guaranteed hearty meal and a reasonable price. I categorize it in the quick and casual category as it's slightly more upscale than Subway/ Quiznos and any of the burger joints yet provides many menu options. Even the picky individual will find something appealing. In my mind I'm thinking fresh bread, great sandwiches with tasty soup and sandwich options. On this day as I entered just before cash was a great big sign indicating it was lobster roll season! Okay....so I scanned the menu and decided the lobster roll looked too damm good for the price! Trying to avoid chips I chose it with an apple instead (another great reason Panera bread rocks). My sandwich came out and it was one of the most generous and yummy lobster roll sandwiches I've eaten! Check that box cause it was big chunks and fresh! Being in the military, I don't expect much from anything. Where I regularly come to this location for dinner after being released from duty, I want to sit and unwind while enjoying good food. Lately, it's been harder and harder to enjoy coming here where the manager runs the AC on high and it's below 60 degrees in here! I over heard a little girl complaining to her mom how cold it was and her mother said, "Don't worry, we're not staying." That disappoints me to hear where I love Panera Bread! But I have to agree. It's so cold in this location that my hands often go numb and I have to PUT ON LAYERS of sweatshirts to insulate myself. 70 to 73 degrees is ideal for most sit-down establishment. When I asked if they would be willing to calm the AC down a little so people could sit and eat comfortably, they placated me by saying, "We'll see what we can do." And then nothing changed for the next hour. I'm honestly thinking of finding another establishment to unwind in where I'm just not feeling the customer care here is all that important to the management. I'd love to see a mild difference from a gentle message like this before it comes to that point though. Tables are not being cleaned and thankfully I had wet ones on myself to clean the only table available. No napkins available to use to dry the table after self cleaning, however no worker cleaning the tables either. I hope I don't catch anything while eating here! I love Panera but this location is my least favorite of all. I have been to several across the country and this one is the worst. The ordering process is confusing, the staff is rude and inattentive, and the portions are small. All of the creamer containers were empty and no one seemed to want to take responsibility for filling them. We have been there twice in the last month and I think we are done. It's a shame, because I love their soup and I love their bread. When a store is this bad, I blame the management. I give it two stars because the food is still good, it's everything else that sucks. We entered and were kindly greeted by the cashier, but I also think he was the manager. He took our order promptly, asking us if we needed to know what was in our sandwiches and soups. I also asked for a shortbread cookie, and he pointed us to the frosted shortbread cookie (it was delightful) he also pointed out some fresh from the oven cookies. Every employee we ran into at this location were so friendly. The soup and sandwiches hit the spot, and the drip coffee was fresh as well. Great location, we will be back! read more

This place has no sense of order. Multiple times I have had to wait in more than one line to get what I needed. The orders that are ready are in a different spot everytime. And I see many other customers with the same issue. No one acknowledges you. If you wait for one of the 14 staff members to acknowledge you, it won't happen. If you speak up to get what you need, you'll get an attitude. I have a coffee subscription, which I love, but once it runs out this month, I won't be back. I wanted to give one star. I took advantage of the coupon left on my door to try out the new Panera delivery service. This restaurant has always been a lunchtime favorite and always like delivery service. I ordered the Whole Ancient Grain Greek Salad. Black bean and tomato soup. The black bean soup was had barely any beans in it and was very "thin" compared to what I have had in the restaurant. The tomato soup was fine. My biggest disappointment was the salad and the delivery service. The salad was awful and I doubt they could serve this in the restaurant without complaints. The tomatoes were old, mushy and could not eat them. Amongst the kale were large uncut pieces of core from a head of lettuce. 4 small olives, a few seeds and the smallest pieces of feta I have ever seen. For $9.39 this was a travesty. I then receive notice my order has arrived and am waiting however the driver is sitting in his car for 5 minutes I guess waiting for me to go pick up my food??? Really. He finally came to the door and was half way down the steps after knocking once while being on the phone. They are new to this service yet the impression was a lasting one. Years ago we enjoyed Panera's thin crust pizza and were disappointed when it was removed from the menu. Recently saw a Panera Bread ad for Family Feast Flatbread Pizza Special. We called in a take out order for 1 pepperoni, 1 margarita, pizza, 1 Greek, 1 Caesar salad and added 2 brownies. Picked up order, charged $45.00 saw big sign in window advertising "Family Feast" (exactly what we ordered) for $23.99 Nobody could explain the price discrepancy. Finally, a manager came on phone and said "That sign is very confusing and we get complaints about it all the time." Went home and found the pizza to be "average" at best, more like a frozen pizza found in a supermarket. We could get better quality from any local pizza shop for much less than $45. The app is oddly hard and confusing to use. I signed up for the coffee subscription and accidentally ordered coffee for the wrong store. I figured since only five minutes had passed, the Concord store could simply give me the iced coffee. Nope.
