The service is horrible. I don't usually eat at Panera and this is the reason why. I wasn't sure what to get, so I attempted to order a breakfast sandwich. The woman taking my order told me that they were no longer serving breakfast, which was fine. Another woman behind the counter started muttering about how "they cut that off 5 minutes ago" and started having an attitude. OK, damn! Let it go! I didn't even order anything after that. My wife ordered a bagel and the one with attitude acted like she was being inconvenienced for doing her job. Never mind! You don't have to worry about getting my money in the future! read more

Ordered rapid pickup last night and when I arrived the order was not even being made. I asked the employee where it was and she said they didn't have an order for me. Then she found it in the computer, but told me they were out of flatbread. Side note - I've attempted to order flatbreads from this store in the past and 7 out of 10 times they are out, whoever is in charge of ordering sucks at their job because you obviously sell a lot of them. Anyway, they were nice and refunded my order, but it still sucks to pay for a meal and get there only to find out you got charged and they can't make the food you paid for. read more

Old coffee and lunch spot standby. They updated the decor last year but it's still a little worn around the edges. However, the service is now consistently awesome and they get you out of the line quickly. Nothing beats their bagels, soups and salads, especially the FUJI Apple Chicken salad. Always my number one choice! read more

This place is absolutely disgusting. I've only ever seen employees and customers distressed being at this location. Its honestly offensive to be around so many negative minded people while seeing others so honed in on doing the best job they can but they go unnoticed around their peers. I've been to multiple Panera's with a a variety of issues occurring that effected my experience but this one specifically is pathetic. I'm almost ashamed to have ever enjoyed being at a Panera knowing I've been on sight at this location to get poor quality food and service while seeing it carry over to how upset and almost distrustful the employees seem as well. read more

I got the asian sesame chicken salad. Not bad at all. I liked it because it's not drenched with the dressing. The place was clean and though it was really busy, we still got our food at a reasonable amount of time. So that's always a plus. Nothing much I can say really... I go here if I'm craving a salad or the broccoli cheddar soup. Both of which are delicious. I guess it just doesn't really stand out to the rest of the Paneras I've been to. read more

Questionable freshness. I got the pick 2- steak panini and avocado Cobb salad, green tea, and what was supposed to be the pecan roll. To go. I get to the car, she gave me the wrong pastry. I'm looking at the receipt and she hadn't even rung the order up properly. Open up the salad and the avocado is already turning and there are some limpy looking leaves. The panini bread is stale. What the heck! Not up to my usual Panera experience. Gave it two stars because it's a relatively empty/clean-ish looking location so maybe good for working? Still disappointing. read more

Always good and consistent! I LOVE the black bean soup and the seasonal squash soup. I look forward to the strawberry poppyseed and watermelon salads. Panera has so many great vegetarian choices. We go here for take out often and almost always our meal is correct and the food is ALWAYS good. The staff are pretty friendly and this is a large Panera - although at lunch seating totally fills up! This location is starting to look a little dated - it gets a ton of traffic - but it is one of my favorite (perhaps my favorite) casual restaurant in Columbia. The food is good, but their customer service is trash. Last week when I made a curbside order I was waiting in my car for over an hour and when my order was finally delivered I received no apology. Then today they actually got my order to me in a timely manner but forgot my drink. This Panera is very good. Their food is great quality, they have ridiculously fast service (seriously they are quicker than McDonalds, it's amazing) and nice, comfortable seating area. I would give them 5 stars if not the crazy good competition in the area. Seriously, in a 2 mile radius of that area there are incredible restaurants/sandwich places. This Panera is very good, but to get 5 stars around there you really need to be exceptional. read more

My family and I come here to eat almost every Sunday after church. And we really love the food! I always get the broccoli cheddar soup with the tuna sandwich and a large iced green tea! If you get ONE THING when you go to Panera get the iced green tea. It is to die for!!! The restaurant is clean and the staff is friendly and attentive. The service is always very quick even though it is usually busy when we go. My ONE and only complaint is the seating!! They have a messy cluster of tables in the middle of the restaurant and honestly not enough seating. I would love to see them add in more booths to make it more comfortable and relaxing. The way they have it set up now is really not ideal. The chairs that they have at the tables are also SO uncomfortable that it makes you want to hurry up and eat so you can leave instead of sitting to enjoy your meal. Overall if you are lucky to get there when it isn't very busy and there are lots of seating options you will have a good time. This location is also really easy to find and right near a Walmart which we like to walk to after we eat some times. Amanda read more

Super unhappy with this Panera. I always buy $200 in gift cards for Christmas gifts. This year I called Dobbin Panera and asked if I could buy gift cards WITH a Panera eGift Card. The girl who answered the phone told me I could. She even put me on hold and checked with another associate. She told me as long as I had a card number and a PIN number that it would work. (I had done that in previous years, but I wanted to verify in case things had changed this year.) So, based on that advice, I got my Panera eGift Cards and went there to redeem. At the register, they told me that they couldn't do this. She checked with a manager who said the same. I'm SOOO disappointed!! I now have to give $200 in paper (eGift Cards) to my 75 year old mother-- rather than a gift card. BOO!!! Bad customer relations, Panera. We used to like Panera! I will NOT be giving you my business any longer. WAY too many other choices of restaurants out there!! read more

Zero (0) stars. No real 'clean food' turkey on my Sierra turkey sandwich. Check your order before leaving the store. In trying to give this Panera location another try after my previous order made 1wk prior where 4 items where not in the bag. I had to return to get the items, 20 mins out of my way drive. This last time, I purchased items and among them, a pick2 and the soup was missing. Worst of all was I ordered a Sierra turkey sandwich and it was made with what looked like store bought, round lunch meat. This was days afters Thanksgiving...and no turkey? No one told me about substitutions. This is unacceptable. I've never seen anything like this--- paid $7.50 for a $1 sandwich with mechanically processed round lunch meat. I spoke to the manager and let her know this issue happened again. She just said to stop by again for replacement like it was no big deal. I cannot stomach patronizing this Panera anymore. I've not had an issue with other Panera locations. very disappointing read more

This was a huge disappointment since my order was simple and i double checked to make sure my online order was correct and the receipt says corn chowder. Plenty of outdoor seating available at this location. Parking spaces can get scarce during peak hours. I visited on Sunday around 5pm. My rapid pickup order wasn't on the shelf, but it was ready behind the counter. The doors and floors looked like they needed a cleaning. read more

Panera has some things that are ok and others that are just blah. Most of their dessert items I would say are blah. Never had anything that tasted like it looked. Its either too sweet, or too dry, or something is off. The breakfast souffle's are good but very greasy. The asiago cheese bagel with egg and cheese is also good yet also very greasy, especially for a bagel. I like the soup in a bread bowl but it used to be unique, now it seems you can get it anywhere. I wish instead of a cafe chain place it was a local cafe with unique desserts and coffees. Oh well. read more

The Panera on Dobbin in Columbia,Md is beyond unaccomodating. I called at 9am yesterday to put in a last min catering order of 4 breakfast sandwiches (NOT 40, but 4!) (for a very small party). I wanted to pick them up at 9:45. I was put on hold and told that they could not make 4 sandwiches in 45 mins. (I thought maybe they just didn't want to take a phone order) So I said okay, what if I just walk in and order 4 sandwiches for myself and the woman says oh you would still have to wait 45 mins. Which is a lie when has anyone ever waited 45 mins for anything in Panera. She obviously just didnt want my business and I will not ever spend my money there again. If you need a catered breakfast just take your business to Chick-fil-a!!! That's what I did! read more

This review concerns the Rapid Pickup option only. I have no problem with the quality of the food or with the courtesy of the staff. Both are excellent. At first the Rapid Pickup was great. So much so, that I started ordering each day for pickup on my way to work. After about the 3rd time though problems started happening which pointed out weaknesses in the system. Since it was designed so that you would not have to interact with the staff, there is no mechanism to find out why your order is no on the shelf. All you can do is stand on the side and look hopeless until the staff stops ignoring you and ask you what the problem is. The other option is to go wait in line for 5 minutes until you make your way to the cashier, then wait while some scurries around trying to find out what happened to your order, then wait while they make it. The staff is extremely polite and apologetic, but that only goes so far when problems occur repeatedly. The other weakness is there is no tie-in of their inventory with the website, so that if what you want is not available, it lets you order it anyway and you only find out after you get there (and wait to be helped) that they were out of it. As I said the first few times worked great, then problems started and now the last 3 days in a row (last 5 out of 6) times my order was not ready for various reasons. Today I decided to order just a drink because I was running really late and what could go wrong with a drink? Well it wasn't ready, no one knew why, and I had no time to wait while they made it or or even wait for a refund - I just left. It's not worth the aggravation. I'm done. read more

Today I ordered 1/2 half grilled tuna sandwich and 1/2 the spicy tia salad from Panera bread on Dobbin Rd., Columbia, MD. The lettuce on the salad and sandwich was soggy and the tomatoes looked pretty scary with green spots. The tuna tasted salty. I always order this sandwich when I dine at Panera Bread! A lot of the lettuce was white. I hate that! There were too many of those little green pea looking things throughout the salad. I also ordered the carrot pineapple smoothie. It was okay. I really enjoy Panera Bread but not today. The price ($14) and the quality of the food didn't jive for me. I don't like to complain, I just move MoveOn because there's too many other places to dine. The Dobbin Road location has lost me as a future customer. read more

I came here for my birthday lunch because usually Panera is a great option. However, today I was completely disappointed. I wanted to try something new so I opted for the baked potato soup. I asked the manager (who was also my cashier) if there was any meat or pork in the soup and they assured me that there wasn't. When I took a bite of the soup, I saw bacon bits and took it back, however the cooks still told me that there was no pork in the soup. When I took it back a third time, the chef had noticed that the cooks were giving false information and that the baked potato soup did in fact have bacon. You could imagine how upset I was, since pork is prohibited due to religious reasons. The chef was about to give me a refund but the manager did not allow him too. I was asked to pick another soup and the manager nor the cooks took blame for giving false information. Truly dissatisfied and awful birthday lunch experience. read more

I had lunch with a friend and tried the strawberry and chicken salad. The dressing was very tasty and adequately applied. I get sad when I receive a salad that is drenched in liquid. The strawberries were juicy and sweet and the chicken didn't remind me of cardboard. The tea was also pretty good too! read more

I'm not sure what there is to say about Panera except that I love it and I'm so glad that I'm back on the mainland and they're everywhere near me!
