After spending 15 hours in UC Davis, Medical Center over the Fourth of July holiday, I wanted something quick and comforting for dinner. I also needed it to feed a family of four and not be wildly expensive- I saw Panera's family meal option on TikTok and I thought what the heck. We did the premium option with dessert. It was $45.- that included 4 half sandwiches, A quart of soup An entrée sized salad One full baguette And four chocolate chip cookies. It also included little bowls for the soup, pots of butter for the bread and all the utensils. They were a little busy, but they were so sweet at the drive-through! This was the perfect blend of fresh, but also comforting and very filling. Of course, I had to get the Fuji apple chicken salad because that never disappoints. I grabbed the grilled chicken avocado sandwich, and I don't know if I was just in my feelings today, but that was an absolute winner! So good it tasted like a homemade sandwich with fresh bread, creamy avocado, and just the right amount of mayo. I mean, the bag probably weighed 5 pounds! It was such a good deal. The other sandwiches we got were the chicken, bacon rancher, and the ciabatta cheesesteaks. I wouldn't say they were the best sandwiches ever, but still a good value overall. Tomato soup -incredible! Baguette? Delicious- duh- Every once in a while, I'll get a meal from Panera. That's a little disappointing but more times than not I leave feeling very full satisfied and excited to go back. read more

We really Panera and appreciated the customer service especially from Cristobal who helped get us a clean table and also found my canteen/water container on another table and gave it to us. The food is always so good and healthy. We both ordered theChicken Wild rice soup and I got the Harvest Medley Chicken salad and he got the Chipotle Chicken Avocado sandwich. Both were part of the "U Pick 2" that Panera offers. The flavor was just right and you leave Panera feeling full and healthy. The ambiance was great there was nice group doing a Bible study, and couples do homework/studying and another couple eating! The staff were pleasant, smiling and help. Panera food is top tier in my opinion. The chicken poppyseed salad is so good I didn't realize there was a medical emergency going on in the lobby and was filming myself eating it last summer and then saw flashing lights in the background LOL... so happy it's back. Panera is the best. I took away one star for two reasons. The water cups are too small and the employees make you ask them for your rapid to go orders instead of placing them on the shelving which would be far more convenient. Went at lunch time and it was buussssy! Food came out fast but it was a little haphazardly thrown together. Like all my roasted red peppers were bunched in one spot and my tuna was all over the place. Food was good and fresh. The place was clean and I appreciate the outdoor seating, because my special needs kiddo can be loud and I don't want to interrupt peoples lunches. Decent prices if you get a whole sandwich on a bagel it comes with two bagels so two can eat for the price of one. Also had a coupon on the app for a $1 cup of soups. We visited on a Saturday afternoon. Really busy, and about all tables were full. Luckily we were able to snag a table as a small family were leaving. I had ordered the pick 2, grilled cheese and tomato soup (around $13). As you can see in the picture, my grilled cheese was burnt, the cheese did not stick together and it overall looked unappealing. The taste was fine but I wouldn't like to have eaten my sandwich like a regular grilled cheese. The soup was delicious however, it did get cold quickly. It wasn't too warm when I received it. Their bagels are just okay for me (I prefer Noahs) but I have loved their fuji apple salad for years and I still order it to this day. Extra apple chips! The dressing served with this salad is really good too. I enjoy their soups too especially the chicken and wild rice and potato soup. Not the cheapest lunch but satisfying. Friendly Staff and quick service I'm not usually a Panera gal but I find myself popping by after getting my nails done nearby for a quick coffee and bagel. It's been very reliable and consistent in service and quality. I love the iPads for ordering and the convenience of the drive through here. It's a pretty busy location in all the times I've been but I've always been able to find a seat. I like the value deals they have, nice option for a quick meal. read more

It's tough to give two stars but because the extremely overpriced bagels and soups are decently good, I will.. I have never liked the atmosphere and always feel that Panera is overpriced, it's like being robbed every time we go. My daughter got 1/2 a grilled cheese for nearly $10. It was one slice of white bread and some American cheese. Literally that was it. And I think everyone knows that that's kind of how it goes with Panera. We don't go there trying to save money. The drive through is slow, they can never hear you (I would suggest a new speaker but the fact that it's been like this for years tells me they know and they don't care) , they want to take your order immediately but you can't see the menu until they ask what your order is. I turn off my car but they can still never hear me. Now it is a "grand reopening Dec 3-5". Reopening from what? That is unclear. Nothing seems to have changed. They had some streamers out front but only a couple of customers at 8am. Nobody in the drive through. The grand reopening sign for Dec 3-5 said they have specials, when I asked what they were, the person was confused. They went and asked someone else who told them the special was that the first 25 people that got there at 6 AM would get something. I didn't bother to let them know they had a sign out front that said there would be grand reopening specials for three days... turns out there isn't. Best to keep avoiding this place guys. Money is better spent at Noah's and the service is always better too. Bummed the "reopening" is just another day that even the employees didn't know what happening, with no apparent changes to a place that desperately needs to revise pricing, fix their restaurant experience, and at minimum offer breakfast all day long. Doesn't seem like it would be hard to improve with so many areas suffering, but they just can't crack the code. read more

I honestly come here about every day and never had a problem but this morning I ordered an goddess avocado toast and I don't know if this was purposely done, but I just taste nothing but salt it taste like it was just drenched in salt. Great customer service without providing all the service. They make your sandwich with a smile but won't put Mayo on it. They will toast your bagel and not butter it. The bacon egg is more like an egg sandwich with a hint of bacon essence. Everyone is nice and attentive but due to corp policy you get what you get. Food quality is great and pricing is aligned with high pricing in CA so you won't be surprised there. The dining room is nice and clean, convenient.
