Always dependable place to come to have good food. This one is no exception. Always get a pick two and I'm never disappointed. This time I wasn't disappointed either. Parking is plentiful because it's in the mall area. Plenty of space inside to set up and work if needed. I'm here meeting with a friend.

It's a panera and it's in North Syracuse. Nothing special. Nothing foul. If you enjoy Panera you'll enjoy it here. I do!

I had the Chicken Rice plate (small) and it did not disappoint in flavor nor price (where can you get lunch for 9.99 these days anyway!?). The menu is huge with sandwiches and plates such as mine pictured below. There is a small halal section (which the plates are under). I don't know what more to say, it was excellent. I look forward trying many many more things!

When my partner and I walked in, we were greeted by a man at the counter and mentioned it was our first time visiting. His response was about as uninterested as it gets. Instead of offering a menu or any guidance, he simply pointed off to the side and told us to order when we were ready. Not exactly a welcoming first impression. The space itself was small, with a few tables, drink coolers, baked goods, and smoothie options. After placing our order, we waited...and waited. After exactly 40 minutes, I finally asked about the status, especially after watching another couple come in after us, order, and leave with their food before we received ours. I understand that takeout and delivery orders are part of the business, but in-house customers should not be completely overlooked. There was no communication, no sense of urgency, and no effort to acknowledge the delay. It genuinely felt like we didn't matter as customers. And for what? Two sandwiches--a roast beef and a turkey. Having worked in restaurants myself, I can confidently say that should not take 40 minutes under normal circumstances. I don't enjoy writing negative reviews, but this experience was frustrating enough to warrant one. We will not be returning. Save yourself the time and look elsewhere.

We seek out places like this who hold them to a higher standard. (Usually the places that have "Cheesesteak" or "Philadelphia" in their names.) The litmus test is whether or not they offer whiz as an option. These were miles above the stuff you'd get from a non-Philly branded place in Syracuse, but on the lower end of the good tier. We would definitely ask for extra dressing/whiz on our next order, because they were disappointingly dry. It seemed like an oxymoron to order Whiz Wit and have it come out dry. With that said though, all the ingredients were amazing. The bread is light, pretty much a full on sub roll. The meat was tender and tasted legit. Nothing weird, stringy or clearly frozen. The Smokey Horseradish Dijon kind of got lost in the shuffle. Same meat as the philly, but the mild kick from the mustard didn't really match what a focus on cheese would have done. The chicken cordon bleu was solid. The minced chicken was actually pretty moist. We added cherry peppers, which took it to another level and I would now never go without. Minced chicken is hit or miss for me, but I rolled the dice for chicken cordon bleu and hit the jackpot. These guys aren't my favorite "authentic" Philly in Syracuse, but they hold down the north side just fine. I'd be happy to eat here any time, and the prices are pretty good as well.

I'm betting there was over 2,000mg of salt in that one quart container. The name of the soup is "Clam Chowder" but where are the clams? All we got were tiny specs of what may have been clam pieces but not big enough to taste. If the soup was made with cream, I would be surprised. My guess is the base was a rue made from flour, water and some sort of oil. Could have been butter but could not find any ingredients listing. Hate being so negative about the soup but salt is supposed to enhance flavors - not be the main ingredient. If this is an award winning soup - someone better taste it again at the Liverpool location. Corporate evidently doesn't want any feedback since their website lacks any email addresses or complaint / suggestion forms.

The calm ambiance and muted, cinnamon-brown walls of the space's predecessor, Cafe at 407, which closed at the end of 2023, have been replaced with TVs in the dining area and bar, a wall-length mural and a little nook with a neon sign that reads "Say Cheese!" and Polaroids of satisfied customers pinned to the wall. The menu taps into childhood fast food nostalgia, with burgers, fries, onion rings and milkshakes -- plus beer, wine, cocktails and boozy sodas. With five burgers, two chicken sandwiches, two salads, a few shareable starters, Fly Bird chicken tenders, a Chicago-style glizzy and a fried fish sandwich served only on Fridays, the menu isn't long, but offers enough variation to appeal to most diners. The wife and I stopped in on a Saturday right at opening time. We were sat and given menus immediately. We decided to share a burger and fries and an order of tenders. We ordered the blue suede shoes - a burger topped with cheddar, bacon, lettuce, tomato, carmelized onions, pickles and house remoulade and an order of hot stuff buffalo tenders. Our food was brought relatively quickly and we enjoyed everything. Fries were fresh, crispy and seasoned, burger was cooker perfectly, the tenders were fresh, crispy, saucy and had just the slightest kick of heat to them. Our server was very friendly and helpful, prices were comparable to similar restaurants, and we has plenty of food to bring home. We'd definitely go again.
