Hadn't been to Panera in years. Signed up for their free 2 month Unlimited Sip Club trial. There are many beverage options to choose from in the Sip Club, including fountain drinks, unsweetened iced tea, lemonades, and my favorites (Passion Papaya Iced Green Tea and Iced 100% Columbian Dark Roast Coffee). It's easy to order in the app and you can choose a regular or large size. If picking up your order inside, it should be on the shelving for pickup orders with a receipt with your name on it. The types of drinks I get are self-serve. Sometimes I wish the drinks were already made for me, but sometimes I like to fill up myself and not add ice. I feel like it waters it down too much at times. Not sure I'm going to continue the Sip Club after the trial expires at the end of the month. It's a good deal, but they increased the price to $11.99/month + tax = $12.95 and Syracuse Winters can make in and out of your car miserable. Sometimes the order says it's ready for pickup and when I go in, my cup isn't there on the pickup shelf. A few times I've had to track an employee down to ask if I can grab my own cup. Because I've been frequenting Panera more, I've ordered quite a few times in the past 1 1/2 months. I love their soups, scrambled egg chicken chipotle breakfast sandwich on ciabatta, their baguettes, and their bakery items (sometimes the app will let you get a sweet treat for .99). The free drink makes ordering food worth it. On their own, their food and soups are pretty pricey! The Value Duets menu is a good value at $7. I've tried their Smokehouse BBQ Chicken Sandwich & Creamy Tomato Soup combo twice. Very good, but if you don't like red onions, make sure you ask for without on your sandwich. Yummy food. Several times I found a favorite item only to have it discontinued. I really miss the Chipotle chicken paninni. The last time I went in, they discontinued the cobb salad. Replaced it with a different cobb with completely different dressing. I was so mad. I tried it anyway. Wow! This is the best salad I've ever had. I believe it's called Green Goddess Cobb. It has a basil dressing that is so fresh, light, and tasty! I've been doing the pick 2 and pairing it with the fontaga chicken paninni. It's not as good as the Chipotle chicken, but it's not bad. Inept, unprofessional people. I was trying to pay and three times in a row, the girl had cash instead of credit and had to get the manager but didn't say where she was going, just wandered away. I used half of my gift card and still had a balance and asked if I could put my credit card in and she said I needed to hand her cash and I said no I'm paying with the credit card that is in my hand that I'm holding up showing you but I'm not swiping it because last time I swiped it you pressed cash and she did it again. You would think by that time the manager would just give me my orange juice for free but no. So I have been here many many times, all 5 star events for our family. But I have not been there since last summer, we got lunch yesterday at the office, new employee, so let's celebrate. Waited 20 minutes for 2 soups-which is ridiculous- but I was just happy to get out of there. Got home and there is 2 tomato basils and 0 chicken noodles. Normally Panera is really good but today was not really a good experience. I ordered a simple Chicken Greek Salad and made it specifically clear that I didn't want any onions on it. The lady repeated it and said "okay no onions, is everything else okay on it." I said yes, just no onions. Asked for it to go and headed on my way. As stated in previous reviews, there is nothing in particular about this Panera that would differentiate it from the others -- bad or good. It was close to HWY 481 on my trek up to ADK, which is a nice change from all the Dunkin Doughnuts and Tim Hortons scattered along the I-90. The service was fast and friendly even though they forgot to serve me the souffle I ordered, but they were polite about it. The tables inside the restaurant were not clean probably due to the fact that we arrived there just after the morning rush and they didn't have time to clean them. My recommendation would be the Frozen Mocha. It is a lovely summer drink on those long car rides to the ADK wilderness. read more

I normally have good experiences at this location. I have gotten rapid pick ups before that were incorrect which is a pain (especially when someone is in charge of ensuring the order is correct), but if I call and relay the issue a manager nicely tries to resolve the situation. Tonight was a different story. I ordered a you pick two for my 8 yo daughter of which one half was a grilled cheese. Long story short, it wasn't made on white bread like the last time we ate there. I waited a while so she could eat her salad, then took the untouched sandwich up to the serving counter. I told the manager (wavy grayish brown hair put up wearing glasses) what the issue was. The young guy behind the counter said he would remake it. I thanked him and was holding the plate still wondering what I should do with the uneaten sandwich, and the manager lady said verbatim, "Well, there's nothing I can do with that. Either throw it out or take it home. " Really, lady? I never had a reaction from the male manager who works there or the lady with long curly hair who usually works more up front like that. They would've asked me what I would like to do with it and offered to take it to throw out or put it in a box. I turned around and walked back to my table. We waited a half hour and peeked around the corner a few times and no sandwich came. The manager knew where we were sitting and never said a thing. How long does it take to make a grilled cheese? Five minutes! I felt uncomfortable talking to the manager again so I took my daughter and left after nothing was resolved and went home to make one myself on bakery Italian bread better than anything Panera makes. The lemonade tonight was really gross and both my friend and I have stomach aches. Could be coincidental, but we did eat the same thing. The food was VERY over-priced, but that is obviously a Panera thing. I paid $11 for a plain salad with no meat and a small cup of tea. The salad was not that good. I love this Panera!! The staff are very friendly, it is clean every time we go, and it is busy all the time!! Have never had a bad meal, or incorrect order as I have at other Panera stores in the area. In the summer we ride our bikes and have breakfast and coffee outside. Great spot!! read more
