I really do not like this place. There is always something wrong. From order issues, to service, to products being out, to the drive through speaker not working. I don't give a negative review lightly, but this place frustrates me to no end. The food is good though, but if my wife didn't like it the food is not good enough to win me over. I really like Panera. They use quality ingredients, bake their items fresh, and are actively committed to feeding members of the community who are less fortunate which I absolutely love. What I don't like about Panera however is how expensive they are. I went through the drive thru for lunch the other day and ordered their pick two combo. You get two choices of half a sandwich, soup, salad, pasta, or even flatbreads. I got half of the classic salad and the tomato mozzarella flatbread. I also wanted something sweet so I ordered a chocolate chip cookie as well. They asked if I wanted to add a drink to my order to make my cookie only 99 cents, so I thought sure why not? I fully admit that I didn't pay attention to their menu prices because I always used to get the pick two combo when I lived in an apartment near a Panera, and never remembered the total being more than around $8. Needless to say, I about had a heart attack when I got to the window and they told me my total was $12.32!!! Sorry, what?!? I could have gotten a whole pizza to go for that price and at least had leftovers. Instead it got me a tiny salad, an even smaller flatbread, a cookie, a lemonade, and a piece of baguette. I checked the receipt because I felt like there was no way that could be right. Sure enough the salad was $3.69, the flatbread was $4.59, the lemonade was $2.19, and the cookie was $0.99. Maybe I'm just a cheap old lady at heart but I found that to be outrageously expensive. The small salad was mostly greens and red onions which was not worth almost $4 in itself. Am I crazy? Do these prices seem normal to other people? I do have a Panera rewards card but don't go enough to get much use out of it. They usually offer a free pastry for your birthday and right now are doing a free cup of coffee everyday in June. I don't live close enough to take them up on that but it's a pretty sweet deal nonetheless. If they lowered the prices a bit then I would give the extra star. But as is I feel like 4 is fair. read more

This location is always out of food. Tonight I came and was told they are out of most breads. Then the order came out wrong. When I reordered my food, I was then told that they are now out of fruit after they allowed me to order it. I've had this happen a couple times and I won't be giving this location any more chances. read more

do not recommend this place. it is a wet day and upon walking in my mother completely wiped out and fell terribly at the front door. not one employee and there were 3 that saw this, asked if she was okay. no wet floor sign was out, i had to tell them to put a wet floor sign out and possibly another rug as the floor is incredibly slippery. not to mention they were just about complete out of all bagel and pastries. very disappointing. read more

After 2 pm the don't have fresh coffee or even hot, they don't refill the sodas, my husband order half Southwest lime salad and they brought him more like 1/4 of a salad. I've never had a problem with this Panera Bread. The staff have always been helpful and friendly. They have table service after you've ordered. Usually someone comes to see how everything is at some point during your meal. Then there's the food. Having eaten here many, many times; I can say I've never had anything that tasted bad. Everything has always been delicious and excactly as ordered. My food is served fast, but then I've always come here at slow points of the day when there were only 4-5 other customer's. I've eaten at Panera's everywhere quite often. My experience tonight at the Cedar Park location was so much more terrible than usual. I ordered online and ordered (and paid for) a sweet iced tea. When I get there and don't see sweet tea, the extremely disinterested (and unapologetic) woman working the counter where the food comes out informed me I was to use regular tea and make it sweet myself (duh). I then get home, my salad was opened and spilled in the bag - and was a sad excuse for a salad regardless. My bread on my sandwich was half missing and so gummy i couldn't eat it. I like the new "Order for yourself" - great addition. As far as food, it was cold and rainy so I wanted the turkey chili. It was decent and came out quickly but was like warm. He went to the trouble of getting a substitution sorted but when I got home with the order the substitution was NOT in the bag. It's Panera, you've probably been there. Food tastes just like every other Panera. The service here, however, is where they stand apart. They are slow. Like, I waited 10 minutes for two bowls of lukewarm soup while the kitchen staff sang "Everything is Awesome" at the top of their lungs. When they finally managed to ladle our soup into bowls the server (they bring it to you at this location) let it sit for several minutes before tossing it onto our table with a clatter and walking away without saying a word. I'm a fan of Panera Bread, just not this one. I've tried it twice now and gotten the same result every time. Slow service, cold food, incorrect order. They did have what I am guessing was a manager roaming the dining room but their presence meant literally nothing. They always mess up orders and the food is way overpriced. This is the absolute WORST location I have ever been to. My husband and I had an awful experience with this staff and management clearly doesn't know how to handle customer issues nor do they understand policies and procedures correctly. My husband went through the drive through and when he got home we realized both of our sandwiches were made incorrectly. The manager Madina actually put me on hold, then resumed the call to let me know that my sandwich comes with mustard (and apparently mustard fingerprints) Ok...well I ordered it without so what does that matter? Anyway, she asked for order information and my credit card number to process a refund and I told her we paid with cash. She told us to go to the store where she would give us our money back and insisted on remaking the food for us and assured it would be right (which it STILL isn't right). My husband goes where he's told they don't do refunds, it's against policy. So they really made us go back up there knowing they weren't going to process a refund, to get food that we didn't even want anymore. Then, actually had the nerve to tell my husband he "wasn't part of the conversation" when he was mad that he wouldn't be getting a refund for the lousy, disgusting food we were given. I called back to ask for the original manager I was dealing with and I was told by another manager who "couldn't say" her name, I want to say she answered the phone as Stephanie (had mid length light brown hair) , and refused to let me speak to her but couldn't give an answer as to why she wanted my credit card number if no refund would have been processed or why we were told to drive up there in traffic wasting our time. I LOVE their food and the drive through is almost always speedy. That being said, this location has a habit of getting our order wrong (which, of course, is almost always realized at home). It's usually somewhat small transgressions (bread instead of chips), but recently it was a rather big mixup (half sized salad with no chicken instead of full-sized salad with chicken). I suppose my only recommendation would be to hold up the entire drive through line and check your order before pulling away...that's what I'm going to start doing, I'm afraid! read more

I love this location. I always come here with my laptop to get some work done I all of their booth have an outlet next to them. They also have the "order from table" option which is very convenient. I thought all Panera's were essentially the same, but nibs is the others I've visited - Nashville, Houston, Kansas City. I don't think the one on Lakeline does either but I may be wrong on that. I've eaten at the Lakeline area Panera Bread once before and thought it was pretty decent. So I was eager to try out this new one close to home. I came here for dinner last night, and breakfast this morning. I was kinda underwhelmed. Dinner: The cup of French Onion soup was nice, and of a good value. Comes with a substantial hunk of bread. Could have used a little butter on the bread but did not realize they had it way up front with the coffee instead of with the other condiments until too late. The Chicken Chipotle Panini was a little disappointing. Was kinda limp and sad, and on the cold side even though served fresh on a plate. It was of a quality I'd expect from a fast food place, not fast casual. I put some hot sauce on it and it was ok. My husband loved it however. Breakfast: Ordered a toasted bagel, to eat there, same ticket as my husband's order. They forget to bring it with his sandwich and then bring me an unsliced untoasted bagel on a plate. At least it didn't take long to get it corrected once again but it was really kinda irksome, especially considering the place wasn't even close to busy. I'll give this place another try but for what you pay, they really need to put in just a little more effort in their prep. read more

This is the most disgusting, vile food I have ever had the misfortune to buy. Not only was it expensive it looked like it was pulled out of a trash can or it was left overs cleaned up from their tables, yesterday. I spoke to a manager there that said "that's the way all our sandwiches look." I told her that not even at my poorest had I ever eaten something looked like their sandwich and soup did. I tried feeding the sandwich to my Yorkie, he looked at it, smelled it, growled at me then ran and hid behind the sofa. Eat here all the time and everything is usually good. Just got to say...the guy running food tonight (long hair, muscles) has awesome customer service. Wonderful place with very kind staff who go above and beyond! I am a teacher and go there on my lunch occasionally, they are always fast and friendly! The last time I went, I was a little bit too far away from the drive thru window so I went to open my car door so I could reach my food, but the very kind staff member told me not to move and squeezed his large frame through the window to hand me my food. I always stop by here for lunch on days when I have to run errands,I love this location, they have parking and a drive through,its next to torchys tacos.As soon as you walk in I was greeted,This location is hardly ever crowded which is nice.Its nice just to be able to sit down after dropping off my baby to relax,lol.It fast casual. They have a soup special you get your choice of side,a baguette or apple or chips,Its the Southwest Chicken tortilla Soup, it was spicy! Bit of was good,it had dark meat chicken, cilantro,lime,quinoa. It was so good on a cold day,I also got my favorite kale and romaine Caesar salad with Parmesan crisps.And a baguette.I ate my whole salad,and a little o the soup. Every thing is always so fresh here and the kids that work at panera seem to be pretty happy.I love the Caesar dressing! Plus you can have a pastry too such as a danish or muffin.They also have a Rewards card and app you can use if you go there enough,the only down side is that its kind of expensive.
