Panera Bread the chain has gone done significantly. I remember when the chain, although was pricey, it used to be a clean, friendly service, and great quality of foods. Now I think it's gotten so big that all these factors have gone down. I always wanted a way to order my food on my phone or online and just go pick it up at PB. And they finally created Rapid Pickup! But it is really flawed, especially at this particular location. ALWAYS, ALWAYS, ALWAYS check your food order before you leave here. On Rapid Pickup, if the location doesn't have an item, they won't tell you although you've already been charged for it. And then you have to somehow cut the long line to get a reimbursement or replacement item. It's a hassle. And they don't make your drinks until you've gotten there and again you have to somehow "cut the line" for an order you placed 15 minutes ago. The staff here is unorganized. The cooks slap sandwiches together. This location has really gone downhill although it stays busy. I come here for the soups and salads only now. They're still pretty tasty. My go-to breakfast item is the mediterranean egg white sandwich. But if you make any changes to it, they assemble it really sloppy. My fav soups are the turkey chilli, cream of chicen & wild rice, and baked potato soup but only when its piping hot. I always get the greek salad. The bakery is always running out of something (pumpkin muffies!). read more

I visit this location twice this week. I was in there today around 2:00 used the Kiosk to order my Roasted Turkey Apple Cheddar Sandwich. I waited about 25 minutes for my sandwich.. There were 3 customers behind me. All three received their food wayyy before I did. I looked over noticed the manager Chris, I asked why is it taking so long to make my sandwich? I thought using the Kiosk would be quicker. He said well there are two people in the back making food each one of them has a separate task when it comes to preparing food.. I said 3 people received their food way before I did. He was like um ok? I said to him maybe next time I'll just stand in line and not use the kiosk since it isn't quicker.. He said well maybe you should stand in line next time with a attitude. I said I'm done talking to you about it.. As I was leaving he said have a nice day with a smirk on his face. He saw clearly I was upset waiting half of my lunch time waiting for a sandwich. I will never visit Panera Bread again.. This was the worst service I've ever received. I think I'll stick to Chicfila since the employees there respect their customers.. I'll make sure to persuade my friends and co-workers as well never to eat here.. Being pregnant I get random cravings. I'm from jersey where we have Atlanta bread but here there's Panera. So after reading the reviews I was a little nervous because if things are what I expect it doesn't satisfy the craving. I ordered the pick two, a bowl of baked potato soup and a chicken Caesar salad with extra romaine, extra dressing on the side and strawberries. The side I choose was a dinner roll. I ordered on the kiosk that says skip the line. Everything was great. My salad was exactly what I wanted and the soup was delicious and still hot after my 15 minute drive home. My only complaint was the dinner roll taste a little old. I'm used to fresh baked rolls which isn't that big of a deal, just preference. Overall I definitely will come back, and it exceeded expectations after reading reviews. read more

Since I'm the Duchess here I felt compelled to write a review! I really like Panera. You can stop at any Panera anywhere and know that you are going to get the same high quality tasty food that you get at any Panera. They have the best specialty bagels, especially the cinnamon crunch! I'm not a big fan of their regular bagels, but that doesn't really matter since if I am going to Panera for a bagel it's going to be a cinnamon crunch. They also have a nice selection of salads and sandwiches as well as soups, and you can do a half and half were you mix and match soup, sandwich and salad selections. Their pastries are pretty decadent and good and they have a great cinnamon coffee cake as well. Some of their sandwiches can't be customized which is a bit of a bummer because that means I always have to pick my tomatoes off myself, but I can live with that. Overall, a great place for breakfast or lunch. read more

I've eaten here several times and I've always had a good experience. The staff are friendly and helpful and the food is always great!

We came in on a Sunday morning hoping to grab a quick bagel because we felt like a $10 waffle at our hotel was ridiculous. The line was long but moved quickly. We tried to order at the kiosk but it wouldn't let us add cream cheese to our bagel so we stayed in the line. When it came our time to order we were told they didn't have any cream cheese. Thinking this was odd, I asked why and we were told their cream cheese was recalled and hadn't gotten a new order in yet. I understand this completely and know it isn't their fault but I felt there should have been a sign up at the door or kiosks explaining this before I waited in line for 15 minutes. So we ordered other items and ended up spending more than we would have for the full breakfast buffet at our hotel. Oh well, bad timing for us, not Panera's fault. I like that they offer the kiosk ordering and the order from your table option as our local Panera does not have this. As I said before, the line moved relatively quickly for a busy morning. Just went to the crossroads location. I was third in line and had to wait ten minutes while they were dealing with the customer in front of me... No problem things happen. I get up there and they are out of half of the kinds of bagels. It is 3:45 and you are out of half of your bagels. So unless you want they least favorite kinds like everything bagels don't bother going here. read more

I always go here when I'm in this part of the world. The place is always buzzing with activity and the staff is friendly and helpful. Free refills on the coffee too. They can be on the expensive side though, 11.00 for a sandwich seemed a bit much plus they added bacon to it without warning (wasn't listed on the menu as one of the ingredients). I know I'm in the minority here but I despise bacon so a little warning would have been nice so I could order something else. Otherwise, a good place. read more

I always have poor customer service experiences at this location. Today the cashier just wasnt listening. She asked me the same questions two or 3 times, and still didnt give me my muffin, before dismissing me from her presence. She wasnt engaged, she seemed genuinely bored and bothered by the disruption. They werent even busy. I also find the management to have poor customer service. So I do like Panera Bread normally however, this visit was not desirable and does not warrant a return visit. For starters they got my order wrong. I ordered the pick two the Goddess salad and the Turkey BLT. What I got was a chipotle avocado chicken that was a hot mess. They literally didn't even bother to cut up the avocado they just stuck a whole half of one on the sandwich. My bread was soggy and the cheese looked old and the whole sandwich was falling apart. Oh then they gave me a Greek Quinoa salad. I paid 14.00 for a gross meal not including tip. Granted I should have checked my bag before I left. Will not be returning! read more

Our office ordered from Panara on Walnut street in Cary NC today. Order was not correct, did not address any custom orders we had. They didn't include 2 items that we had ordered, which were on the receipt but not with the food when we got back to the office. Phoned and let them know we were coming coming back to pick up the rest of the order. Drove total of 10.8 miles with the two trips. GM didn't apologize or offer anything for the trouble. I stopped at Panera mainly becuase I was craving a warm chocoloate chip cookie. I ordered a salad, then requested a cookie only to find out they had none. There was one bag of a dozen small cookies at the register, which my friendly cashier gave me since I "seemed like I really wanted a cookie". Great customer service gesture! First, let me say the food was good as usual. However, the cashier was a condescending jerk. His name tag of Andre 3000 smirked, shook his head and had an underneath laugh for the items I ordered. It tested my patience to not call him out for his display of being a rude asshole. It was uncalled for. One item I ordered was a smoothie for my fiancé since she was sick and couldn't eat solids. I waited with my pager for the other items and nobody ever told me that the smoothie was just sitting on the ledge waiting for me to pick up. Andre 3000 could have been pro active and actually said, "here you go sir, can I help with anything else?". Nope, instead he was nowhere to be found. He didn't inform his co-workers either because they looked at me like I was stupid and were only worries about the next meal they were preparing. I was here over the holidays because my friend and her family have been going to this place at least once a week for many years now. I never knew why they liked it so much, until they talked me into ordering some soup. By far the best chicken noodle soup I've ever had. I didn't even know it could taste that good. Today I received the worst service ever! I use to be a waitress at a couple of restaurants, and I know what good customer service is, however I'm usually pretty lenient to people that work in the restaurant business, because it's harder work then you would think, but the way the staff treated us was so incredibly rude, that I will never even think about setting foot in that location ever again. Me and my family LOVE Panera Bread, and were really disappointed by the way we were treated. When we were trying to put our dishes up in the correct bins, the employee wouldn't step out of the way, and I asked her if she wanted me to set it in the bin, and she gave me the worst attitude "ummm, yes, that's what it's there for".. Couldn't believe it!!! I confronted the manager, and he seemed like he could care less. The food wasn't that good either this time. Don't even get me started on the cashier, she was rude, no smile, no personality, I've never complained so much about a place.
