Decided to pick up a smoothie today and there was someone off. It was watery and not smoothie consistency. Foam was sitting on top and it was light green versus the dark green color I have known for several years. The person at the drive thr window closed the windowas I was asking "what is wrong with the smoothie". Very rude and unprofessional. Smoothie tasted awful. It wasn't real busy when we walked in, but it looked clean. It was very easy to order our food and very quick. we ordered the egg sandwich feast. We got the sausage, egg and cheese croissant the bacon, egg and cheese, croissant, chptl scrambled eggs and avocado sandwich and the egg, white and avocado sandwich. In my opinion, the croissants were not bad. They were average tasting. We definitely had to add mustard in order to get more flavor to the croissant sandwiches. I think that Burger King's croissant sandwiches have more flavor. The avocado, tomato and egg white sandwich and the chipotle scrambled egg and avocado sandwich lacked flavor also. We noticed they barely put any avocado in the breakfast sandwiches. I think if you order a sandwich and one of the ingredients is avocado then you should have a nice amount of avocado in there. Overall, I would rate it average presentation was nice, but I probably would not come here to eat breakfast again. read more

A mess! I swear if you try to order after 5pm (they close at 9pm) they're literally out of every type of nice bread like focaccia or sourdough which is the whole point of their sandwiches. It really shouldn't be this difficult and on top of that the toppings on sandwiches are very haphazard and not evenly distributed. The food was good, the service was good, HOWEVER - this place is gross! First please note, you have to order everything via the app or the kiosk. That is fine with me, makes for ensuring your order is correct. The food was out timely and everything was served correctly. It was the lack of cleanliness of the location that turned me off and I will most likely not return. There was trash all over the floor, the floor looked as if it hadn't been cleaned in days, paper everywhere, etc. Everyone was in there as if nothing was wrong or just ignoring the issue. Not me - I started to question how clean the food prep area was if it looked like this out in the dining area. One of the servers did state they were changing things around, so that could have been why things were all over the place. But it doesn't speak for the "trash" laying around. The restaurant offers a variety of foods such as soups, salads, sandwiches, beverages, and dessert. I came here for lunch and placed a to-go order at the counter. A large portion of the tables inside of the business were filled on a Thursday night. There was not a line to place an order. I ordered a half order of the apple fuji salad. The salad comes with chicken, arugula, romaine, kale, tomatoes, toasted pecans, Gorgonzola, apple chips and is topped with a sweet white balsamic vinaigrette. The nuts and apple chips offer a nice crispy texture to the salad. The dressing is a little sweet but balances out with the other ingredients. The flavors meshed very well and tasted really good. The half portion was filling for me. The salad also comes with an apple, bread or chips. There is a screen that displays when you order is ready and is being prepared. I did not have to wait too long for my food. My meal was bagged with silverware and napkins. The dressing was placed in a separate container inside of my salad tray. I would definitely get this salad again and return to this location. read more

It's such a shame Panera has gone downhill. Used to be one of my favorite places to go. 1. The place is pretty much completely self service. Employees will intentionally avoid you and not serve you at the counter (even if they aren't doing anything) until you wave them down. I don't want to wait 10-15 minutes for my bakery items when somebody is there who could grab them in seconds. 2. Very overpriced now. As a bigger guy, it would cost me about $20 to have enough food to fill me up. At that price, I might as well get sit down. The food is still great though. That's why I'm leaving it at 3 stars versus give it 1 star due to lack of any attempt at service. read more

They were completely out of bagels before 7:30am on a Tuesday. They run bagel specials on Tuesdays only... but had no bagels. What a disaster. The last few times I've done curbside pickup, nobody has brought my order and I've had to go in and find it. Which is particularly inconvenient when you have tagalongs. read more

Panera is one of my favorite places for fast food. I can never go wrong with my favorites here. I've dined in, curbside, and received delivery on multiple occasions. The staff is extremely nice and helpful when I go inside. On my most recent online delivery, Panera failed to seal the bag, which I found odd since this is a normal practice I've seen since ordering curb and delivery. With this being a delivery, I would have expected the bag sealed for secure delivery since driving just about any hard stop at traffic may cause unwrapped bread with my Greek Salad to fall out. I like the sealing the bag practice, and I'm curious why it wasn't done on the order. This is the reason for the three star instead of four. Otherwise, I enjoyed the food and speedy delivery. read more

Fine. We sat back down. Then we asked for the bear claw we had STILL NOT received. This woman had the AUDACITY to blatantly lie about them being out? But literally the ONLY reason we ordered the bear claw is cause we SAW IT! Like we're in the minority here, let's pretend we're on the same team huh? But for you to think we're THAT stupid is just plain rude. Really? So I went up to the front and asked whether ALL those pastries mean they are out or nah and the nice lady (different human) said "no, these are all for YOU guys". Hmm. INTERESTING ..... Had a blast eating here with my roomies. Great place for something fast, quick, and relatively cheap. It also has a relatively big space. On occasion gets really crowded but I have never had a problem finding seats. The people at the front are always so sweet even when it gets really busy and are always great about reminding you about deals you have on your Panera rewards card. If you don't have a reward card, highly suggest it. Free bakery item in your birthday month and constantly free cookies. read more

Ok, here we go again. Another chain restaurant review from the guy who claims he doesn't like chain restaurants! In the end if I had a choice, I'd avoid em but Panera is solid. I just had lunch today at Cafe Carolina and then shot over to Panera for dinner and it made me realize that I actually like Panera better! Very similar concepts of sandwiches, panini's, soups and baked goods, sort of fast casual dining. Order up front and pick up your plate a few minutes later. Not a total sit-down meal but a better experience than you'd have at a place with plastic chairs, crew members wearing polyester/hairnets and some Mc Food. At Panera, the soups are tasty, the sandwiches are fresh and the bread is awesome. And the free wi-fi is nice if you've got your laptop along. So what's not to love even if Panera is a chain? I tried to pay for a lunch for my daughter and her friend with a $100 bill. The manager refused to accept it stating that he didn't trust if it were real or not. It's incredibly frustrating to go into an establishment that requires payment yet doesn't have the means to verify if cash is legitimate or counterfeit. At minimum the manager should be skilled enough to observe current watermarks and of course have a pen that also verifies actual money or counterfeit. I made a friend of mine at this location for breakfast and had one of their spinach souffles. I really didn't know what to order for breakfast because I'm not used to eating out but I asked one of the people who works there, an employee by the name of Mr Hinton, who gave me helpful advice and I must admit I enjoyed what he suggested. On the basis of my interaction with him alone I would recommend that you go to this Panera location. He was very helpful!! read more

I love Panera bread and have been coming for a long time. I was on the other side of town and said to myself, "self all Panera breads are the same." Not so!!!! The portion size was much smaller considering I paid $38 fora half sandwich, half salad, whole salad and a smoothie. I love Panera, it is delicious. I always go with the You Pick Two: French Onion Soup, the Fuji Apple Salad with Chicken and a piece of baguette. You can't go wrong with this choice, it is by far my favorite and always fills me up. I also like the cinnamon crunch bagel, frontega chicken panini and seasonal salads that they offer. We we're visiting from New York and stopped in for lunch at this Panera on Walnut Street. Brittney Riley, the employee who took our order, was exceptionally hospitable and helpful, more so than employees in our Panera back home. She made excellent suggestions for lunch, we had duets of soup and sandwiches, plus a cookie for dessert which she told us were all 50% off. the food was cooked immediately and everything was delicious!! I think this location is planning on closing or going out of business. My family has given this location 3 try's to get it right and all 3 times bad service and really bad overpriced food. Undercooked flat bread that tasted like the cafeteria pizza from grade school subsidized lunches. This was complimented by stale bread on my daughters sandwich, no croutons for the soup, and a fruit salad comprised of a single grape covered entirely by Mellon. Someone must have dropped the grape by accident. To top it off, service has always been terrible. Curbside never ready when promised and no one willing to answer a phone. Would suggest not offering curbside if you are going to make the customer come in to pick up the order. If the above was not bad enough, how about all that for $60 and absolutely no one willing to return a call to discuss the items missing from your order. Never again. read more

Panera Bread killed it at lunch today. My coworker and I dropped by and both enjoyed the Pick Two on the patio. I had the strawberry poppyseed salad,with balsamic dressing, and the smoked ham sandwich, on whole wheat. Both were delicious and fresh. Also grabbed a Pepsi. My coworker also had a salad and sandwich. Our orders were made quickly and delivered to us on the patio, where we enjoyed a table with an umbrella. In my opinion, Panera Bread is a little expensive. It never fails. When I go to get bagels for the office on Wednesdays about 8am the selection is terrible. They always say they just had someone come in and get a large order. Wouldn't you know to bake more so you aren't cleaned out of half of your selection by 8am? When I went in this morning there wasn't anyone at the register. It can get crowded and noisy when they are busy, but always am able to find a seat. I'm hooked on the Bistro french onion soup! I like the 'Pick 2' offer and ordering food from the kiosk to avoid lines. My chicken and avocado Panini came out nice and toasty warm. The bread was perfectly crisp. The tomato soup was creamy with good flavored large croutons on top. My husband ordered the spinach mango pineapple smoothie and it was really fresh and tasty and not too sweet. 30 minutes of Wi-Fi was a nice feature as well. I'm not sure I have met anyone who does not like Panera. There are a few great perks about this place that keep me coming back. The Panera rewards is pretty sweet and the more you go, the more frequently the rewards come around. I have even known of a few lucky ducks who have gotten a month of free coffee. Another great deal is the bakery treat for $0.99 when you purchase a meal with a drink. I know, I know, it is a marketing tactic, but hey, their food is tasty, I need to eat, and I love bakery treats! As for the sandwiches I recommend the Bacon Turkey Bravo, it is made with the most delicious tomato basil bread. The paninis are good too. For bakery treats, the chocolate cupcake is amazing. It consists of four different types of chocolate: chocolate cupcake, chocolate filling, chocolate frosting, and chocolate shavings on the frosting (Mmmm). This place gets crowded at lunch time to the point where you can open the door and end up being in line. I think it's just the design of the store that causes a single file line which makes it look worse than it is. They have more than one cashier so it goes pretty quick. Even when it is busy, I have always been able to find a seat. The employees at this store location are awesome. They are very friendly. read more

*3.75 Stars* I have been to Panera bread before but never for breakfast. I always enjoyed their lunch sandwiches and soups so I actually traveled all the way to NC to try their bagels. I was impressed. They did a great job and give you a tub of cc with every bagel...not some skimpy amount either. I have had their pastries before and liked them. Try the french toast bagel with strawberry cream cheese...yum...meeeeeee... Sadly the top bagel in the area...yeah a chain has the best...sad...very sad. read more

I was invited to a meeting and this was the place we met. The line to wait to order seemed a little disorganized. One minute a person was walking up to a register to be told it was closed, but a minute later, someone else came to the same register to offer assistance, then the other register suddenly seemed to be closed. I motioned to the person waiting for the other register to come over to this one. Finally, it was my turn to order... a large coffee, that was it. I have to say, the dark roast coffee was pretty darn good. I was able to sit down and have a discussion with the rest of the invitees and we got our business resolved without having to constantly repeat ourselves over a noisy crowd. Why is this location seemingly always out of some essential thing to their menu. Recently it was BREAD! A restaurant with BREAD in its name should not run out of bread. Also, for god's sake, change up your menu once in a while! You should offer some specialty soups that are seasonal or something. Always the same thing, year after year. And why can't you serve potato soup AND clam chowder on the same freakin' day? Or... at all? MOST of the time when I order takeout, BOTH of those soups are not available. Why??? Panera has a great app and curbside pickup. I have had a coupe of bad experiences with the curbside pickup (30 minute wait after getting there at the prescribed time), and if you go inside, they don't strongly enforce the mask requirement sign on the door. This time it worked great! However, I had a SW salad and asked for extra avocado. The avocado was as hard as an orange pumpkin. Some of the avocado still had the peel on it. I ordered a Baja Bowl for take out. Got home and found that they had not reconstituted the rice...it was dry pellets. They were not busy - mine was on eof two order in the queue and no line at all. Food and service are always set high at Panera. Of all the locations I've visited this location has the most personable staff. I find myself pausing from the rush of the day to enjoy the interaction. I like the bagels and pastries more than I should. Asian chicken salad is a favorite followed by the turkey sandwich. My new favorite is the Southwest chicken broth bowl. I tried this offering a few weeks ago. The broth tops chicken noodle soup, the heat reminds me of authentic NM cuisine, and the portion is more than satisfying forcing me to take the other portion of take 2 to go. Yesterday I was fighting a cold and craving the southwest chicken broth bowl. My tastebuds smiled as I ordered it. Alas, I left Panera disheartened when told it's seasonal stretch had come to an end. While you have a sign on the door asking people to be patient with the shortage of staff... that's not an issue at all. The bigger issue is when management is so rude (John Meyer) because the kiosk doesn't allow you to ask for an item in the side. Ask him and he is over the top rude about it ! So the short staffing is not the issue. The niceness of the staff would be more important than how many staff people are actually here. This location gives you plastic forks and knives. Other Panera's in the area provide REUSABLE metal silverware. Panera should require all locations use more sustainable practices!! Also there is only one waste station with a recycle bin out of several stations in the restaurant. read more

I don't even know where to begin... The cashier didn't ring my order in correctly after i repeated it to her 3 times. Luckily I caught the sandwich maker right as she had placed my sandwich on the press. I wanted my bacon pressed not the whole sandwich. She then had to remake the whole sandwich and I had to wait an extra 10 minutes for a sandwich that didn't taste good because the Cibatta bread was hard as hell. I asked her for extra mayo and salt and pepper on the sandwich and she put it on the side then not giving me a knife to spread it. Definitely NOT going back. read more
