How many of these reviews do I write where I say, this place is good because it does what it's supposed to do. Panera food is bread, and bread is delicious. It offers a great space for being alone to being in a large group. The prices are fair and there are healthy options if you choose them. I got a Thai chicken salad. It had a nice kick of acid to it that I appreciated along with the edamame texture. Panera is just an easy place to go with food that can suit most audiences. The service is quick and the food is again, exactly what it's supposed to be. Like a step up from cafeteria food, or maybe if you have a really nice cafeteria, on par with good to great cafeteria food. Also, my salad cane with a side of bread. And bread is delicious. I always have the same two items whenever visiting Panera Bread, so I thought I'd make a quick stop for a small lunch here. Got the Creamy Tomato soup and Bacon Turkey Bravo- with sourdough. Since they were out of Tomato Basil bread, which was a shame. The sandwich still tasted good and the bread was just as soft, but not as flavorful. The Creamy Tomato soup here seems a bit more chunky than most other places, but I thoroughly enjoyed it. The service was quick, although the place wasn't exactly full at the time I dined in. I had a half Napa Almond Chicken Salad Sandwich: Chicken raised without antibiotics, diced celery, seedless grapes, almonds and our special dressing served with emerald greens and vine-ripened tomatoes on Sesame Semolina Bread. Their chicken salad is very tasty. Not too mayo heavy. Love the grapes. I also had the small Green Goddess Cobb Salad with Chicken: Chicken raised without antibiotics, arugula, romaine, kale and radicchio blend, vine-ripened tomatoes and pickled red onions tossed with freshly made Green Goddess dressing and topped with avocado, bacon, and cage-free hard-boiled egg. Management has changed or something, I usually place orders a few time a year to be delivered to a school site. My recent experience was horrible I went in to there location asked for help to place an order and was told to use the online app. Then I was told they would charge me a $25 delivery fee. When I pulled up the Panera's app and showed them the delivery and tax it was closer to $10. He said if I wanted to do in on the store then it was $25. Placed the order only and not only was my order wrong it was all delivered to the wrong place so it never arrived. My mocha was served to me without any mocha and my husband's double shot espresso had a ridiculous amount of chocolate syrup at the bottom. Not a big deal but it took the people working there a really long time to fix my drink. Note at the top of the receipt it says to inform them if your order is not accurate and they will fix it and give you a pastry for the trouble. They fixed my drink after answering way too many questions and, they never offered me anything for the trouble! I knew to keep my standards low for this place because last time we went here my son ordered a tuna sandwich which was ALL BREAD with the tiniest little bit of tuna! Recently rediscovered Panera Bread - why haven't I been coming here more?! It's so tasty. I'm obsessed with the creamy tomato soap. So flavorful and satisfying. Goes so great with a grilled cheese sandwich so I always get it with a chipotle chicken avocado sandwich and switch out the Gouda for mozzarella. I get the half soup half sandwich. I noticed lunchtime on weekdays get super packed with a lot of elderly retired folk to the point of running out of seating. So be aware of that and come early or later. WiFi here is so slow and not really usable but they have plenty of outlets by some tables. Sign up for the rewards account which is tied to your phone number. I am highly allergic to dairy product. So when I order online, I specifically leave instructions to leave out any dairy products. Yesterday I ordered Family Feast meal online from Panera Bread at 503 Coleman Ave in San Jose and left a note stating "No cheese on any of the items" under the "Special Instructions". I paid $43.04 just to receive a bunch of sandwiches and a salad that were loaded with cheese. What the hell is the point of asking for "Special Instructions" if you are not going to pay ANY attention to it. Tried calling them, but of course, there is no answer. I love Panera Bread. This location's customer service is a hit or miss however. I've been coming to this Panera for two years and it's extremely close to me. I prefer driving this way instead of towards Santana Row especially on the weekends where the chaos is just not worth it. Today I brought along my 15 month old sans stroller because I figured we would find seating pretty fast. The young lady who took my order seemed a bit frazzled and what frustrated me today was how she expected me to carry two plates, my purse and my 15 month old. After paying I would think she would get the hint that I can barely hold one more item and would prefer everything delivered to my table when my 15 month old started to wiggle in my arms but nope. I had to ask her and it wasn't a pushback that she gave me, it was more so confusion why I asked. I guess Momlife just isn't for everyone. This girl didn't get my struggle. The food was great. We chomped on our bagels and soufflé. I loved my chai. Upon leaving however, I noticed the trays where you bussed your own plates and utensils were not at the same location. I asked one of the female servers if I could just leave my plates there since my 15 month old was starting to really get fussy and her reply was the same to the girl who took my order. Again, momlife is real. Luckily, there was a male buzzer who was extremely kind and asked to take my plate when I turned around and made me rate this Panera today 4 stars instead of 3. There's a lot this Panera offers and I wish there were a bit more mature staff that understand customer service but it is what it is. More often than not something is left out of the order, usually bread rolls. Last order was made online early in the morning and scheduled for evening pickup. When I got there for the pickup my order was not ready and two warm bowls were not available. I was told they ran out early in the day and I could order something else. I wasn't quite sure what I wanted by the time it was my turn to order and she was patient with me. I decided on the strawberry poppyseed chicken salad and a cup of chicken soup. I received a number, found a table, and a nice staff member brought my food to me. To be honest, I was expecting a little more, but overall the food was good, just not extraordinary. If you're going to Panera don't go to this one. This used to me my go to spot but the people working there now do not care at all. I went last Wednesday and it was not packed at all. All open tables had trash and were filthy. I asked a worker if they could clean my table. I stood waiting for 10 mins before I grabbed the clean wipes myself and cleaned the table.
