Honestly I applied to Panera yesterday. Got a voicemail from them trying to call me. So I checked out the voicemail. Said call me back. I called her back 5 times. And text her to let her know that I had called her back and that I'd be happy to hear back from her. I got a call the next morning and answered questions like. You got a car? Drivers license? Etc. the last question was, what's your availability? I started talking and explains how I am availed during the week. I was about to talk about the weekends but the lady flat out interrupted me and said your not a good fit for the job, bye. I was left dumbfounded and disrespected. By the way, this ladies name is Trisha. Idk if she's the manager, or some crappy worker. But either way she should quit. Idk how she got her job with that attitude of hers. Quality of food is great. Service is poor. Every time my order is messed up. Asked for the Pick 2 with soup/ sandwich. Got sandwich and chips. Asked for Frozen Caramel got Mocha instead. Son wanted full grill cheese with chips. He got 1/2 sandwich. This kind of mix up happens every time. I'm done giving this place a chance. Will only eat at Owensboro location from now on. read more

May experience at this location was pleasant along with the wonderful and fast service and clean area. A restaurant has to be absolutely disgusting & pathetic for me to give them a one star and along the same scale they would have to be exceptional to get a five star. Usually don't review chain restaurants, but Panera is an exception. I have tried some of the other local bagel places and none compare. For a chain, the food is consistently good and service friendly. As for me, I can't start my day without my double toasted whole grain bagel and peanut butter. read more

My aunt made a lovely German chocolate cake for our Mother's Day lunch. As I was returning to my home in Bowling Green, I decided to stop off at Panera Bread for a glass of milk to go with my slice of cake I brought home. Upon ordering the milk at the drive-through, I was informed that they would have to get a manager's approval to sell me a glass of milk, as they usually only sell it by the carton. What the bloody hell kind of bakery restaurant does not sell glasses of milk??? What if someone wants a milk with their morning oatmeal or bagel? Are they resigned to buying an entire carton of milk? Needless to say, I left and went to Corner Bakery, where the nice young man at the register was more than happy to accommodate my order of a glass of milk. Considering Panera Bread now has competition only a few blocks away, they would be wise to keep all the business they can. read more

The cashier was friendly. The food was excellent but way overpriced. I am giving this a one star review because of the woman named Susan. She is a manager there and finds great joy in screaming out of control at the staff. The atmosphere when she is working vs when she is not is incredibly different. I can literally tell when she is there the moment I walk in. The looks on the cashier's faces, the way they are standing there sheepish as if they are afraid she'll come around the corner. Today I went in and she was there. I asked the cashier who the mean chick's manager was and she politely responded that he was out for a moment helping with delivery. I had to leave, but she must be stopped. I can't imagine getting up and going to work with such an angry human. As I read through the other reviews, it appears to me that someone had the exact complaint about her that I had. read more

I typically love Panera. Stopped at this one on our way to Nashville. The caramel latte tasted burnt and my egg sandwich had shells in it. Since we purchased drive thru we throw out the sandwich and the coffee. read more

Sandwiches are so small, told a manager he said yup. Willing to remake it and waste the food no thanks. So tired of restaurants wasting food. Told him for the money and the size of the sandwiche i won't be back. No comment from him. Place is poorly run, dirty again. Management has meetings while place stays dirty. The ladies in the accounting dept at the office gave me a gift card from Paneras here in Bowling Green. The card was a birthday present. My wife and I decided to go to Paneras last evening for a late dinner. It was a good choice. She had a salad and tomato bisc soup. With a nice hunk of French bread. Very yummy. I had oriental chicken salad and loaded turkey sandwich. And a hunk of French bread. Her meal and mine looked delicious. But when I took my first fork of my salad my mouth lit up. The dressing on my salad was way beyond my tolerance level. No problem. Told my server and she graciously replaced it with a cob salad with a smile. I'm giving this review hoping that someone at Panera will see it and realize they need to pick up their game. I ordered exactly what my friend ordered. Our meals didn't look the same in size or shape (consistency issue). I had to look for the small amount of barely cooked bacon. If not for the cheese, which I didn't like, there was little flavor. Panera is one of my favorite restaurants in Bowling Green. I get the Broccoli Cheddar soup and sit by the fire for an amazing relaxing experience. Sometimes the lines are long but that to me means people enjoy their food. I would be more concerned if there were fewer people in there. The desserts are good and the people are nice. read more

Have only been to Panera a couple of times, but each time I have been the good has been good. The parking space is a little bit small since they have to share parking with at&t. The customer service is always different each time u go, u never know how the service will be. The prices are a little bit expensive for my taste. The atmosphere of the restaurant reminds u of home. I love Panera Bread but this particular establishment is horrible. 99% of the time the employee at the register is rude and unfriendly. This evening as I ordered, it was obvious that the cashier was less than thrilled that I was there but I just overlooked his poor attitude. A few moments later another employee came by and as the cashier handed me my receipt he said, "We are never going to get out of here tonight. Never." Unbelievably rude. What is happening at our local Panera! I went there this evening with my father to try the new Thai Wonton Broth Bowl which had a strange metallic flavor, and my father's tuna salad sandwich was flavorless with bread so hard it was difficult to chew. Over the years the Panera in Bowling Green, Ky, has been a favorite spot for a sandwich, soup and beverage, but recently I've noticed some disappointing changes: restrooms that need to cleaned, dish and garbage collection points that are left spilling over, seating and tables that are in need of a wiping down and trash on the floor in the dining areas. I've been in Panera's in other cities, not once have I been in one as filthy as Bowling Green's. read more

The service of this place was fine, but the value was terrible. I ordered the most expensive thing on the menu, the new Steak & White Cheddar Panini, expecting it to fill me up and taste great. Reviewing the food for the most part, as I got my order to go. I used their "rapid pickup" option which allowed me to bypass any lines or cashier. Their website is a little tricky via mobile but they have an app so I guess it would be helpful if I were to frequent the restaurant. I, unlike most other reviewers, do have a Panera card and I actually enjoy it. I got $5 off for ordering through the website and they will randomly load free desserts or coffees on the card as time progresses, especially if you come in more often. The food was pretty good, typical of most other Panera locations. When ordering through mobile, you get a lot more customization than you would if you ordered in store, unless you specifically asked the cashier about every option they had. They had a good selection of soups but I was bummed to see my favorite panini is no longer on the menu. Perhaps it's seasonal, perhaps it was just outdated. They were good about following special instructions to heat up the usually cold Turkey Avocado BLT I got and the chicken & wild rice soup was delicious. The baguette on the side was a little hard but good otherwise. Paid through the website and pick up was easy, just walked in and grabbed it off the pick up cart. Only downside to that is the fact anyone could come in, grab your order and walk out, but that's just the negative nancy in me. ;). I like having a choice and I usually like to go to Panera. Yesterday, I took my daughter and 4 year old grandaughter to lunch and was surprised that they were out of white milk. After we sat down, I double checked my receipt and noticed they charged $1.60 for the tiny little organic milk that has a shelf life date of April, 2015. Really? If you can keep milk for another year, why not have more in stock? The manager came around asking if everything was alright and I did inquire about the charge for milk. I did not realize it was not included in the meal. He told me it was not, and I did mention for the 1/2 cup or so serving of mac and cheese for almost $5.00, it seemed to me it should be included. He did offer to give me my money back for the milk ("because we didn't make that clear to you"), but I told him I just wanted to verify that it was correct and that they were out of white milk. He skirted our table the rest of our visit! I had also asked for a greek salad with no onion, but there it was...in the bottom of my salad. I knew better than ask for a new one as the manager made certain to stay away from our table. At the risk of sounding miserly, this Panera has moved the butter off of the serving area and you must ask for it...from the manager that oversees the serving area. I like Panera, especially to have a choice, but I disagree with some of the obvious ways to cut back on service. I really do dislike those tiny glasses of water they offer if you would rather have water. You used to be able to request a regular glass at check out, but now must fill those tiny glasses with water to have with your meal. I think the owners or management need to realize in Bowling Green we have many choices. Squeezing a little money from the consumer for a larger plastic glass or keeping those little packets of butter hidden makes me wonder how important my visit is to Panera in Bowling Green. read more
