I had tried another Panera recently and my experience was just so-so. I wanted to try another to see it was just the store I visited or if all Panera's are going downhill. The store was similar to the other. Located in a mall with parking available. The restaurant is clean and you can place your order on one of those tablets. I had the half turkey sandwich, cheddar broccoli soup and French baguette side. They were definitely fast. The soup here is better. The cheddar broccoli had a thicker consistency and really tasted like real cheddar. The sandwich is similar to the turkey at the other Panera. It's just several slices of processed turkey. They don't even try to make it like a sandwich with the slices positioned in different positions. They just take several slices, fold them in half and put them on the bread. The bread is okay, nothing special. They put some kind of sauce but mostly it's a very dry sandwich. And like the other Panera, the baguette tastes like it was only halfway baked. I agree with some of the other reviewers in that the quality has declined. When Panera first opened, I used to eat there at least once a week. But now, just if I'm starving and it's convenient. It's too bad they are more interested in opening so many restaurants without keeping the quality. read more

I've kinda avoided Panera intentionally for years. I got a drink there a few years back during a business meeting. That changed this year as I work near this location. Food options are plentiful in the area as it's an outdoor shopping mall; at least there's options. A few months into my employment the company ordered a few dozen sandwiches for a Friday event; first impressions weren't that great. The Napa Almond Chicken Sandwich failed on so many levels. Seems that our order spent many hours in the walk in cooler. Bread was terrible as it was cold. Texas owned HEB's tarragon chicken salad blew the flavors of Panera's offering away. After that day I guess I was curios to see if everything was equally MEH. One of my friends used to swear by the Asian Chicken salad! Winter 2021 came around and I started focusing on soups. For those who don't know the area nearby contenders include a heavy hitter. Not exactly a soup but nearby Madam Mam's Panang Curry basically reigns supreme in my book. Turns out the soups are about the only thing Panera is decent at. Flavorful French Onion on one visit; best scoops being the autumn squash that's of course already been discontinued. Even the pseudo Thai Chicken was acceptable fare. Get the soup; avoid the rest. read more

This is me and my wife's favorite go to place. We always goes with their half n half. Half sandwich and half soup. She go for veg sandwich and squash soup(if in season), and I go for chipotle chicken and I think I had chilli soup. :) This place was not very busy and service was good. The avocado toast was surprisingly under seasoned making it heart smart and allowed tasted the layers of sauce, crunchy toast, and hot egg whites. I keep giving it a shot but each time I go, there is trash on the floor, tables aren't bussed or wiped down making it hard to find a decent table and the outside tables and chairs are even worse. Food has deteriorated here. I keep trying as they are convenient and quick. Ordered a caprese sandwhich yesterday.... the mozzarella is supposed to be the star. It barely had any. And overall this is my experience....the ingredients are good but they have pared down the amount and the prices are steep for what you get. It is not at all a good value. Oh what a disappointment. For starters, our food was cold. The Mac n cheese barely warm, the $12 chicken sandwich cold in the middle which is a potential health risk despite being "pre cooked", combined with a messy environment and young staff members who could care less. While eating our meal, we witnessed a young blonde boy with long ish hair wipe the counter top and then drop the rag on the floor, pick it up, and proceed to keep wiping the counter tops. Utterly disgusting. This place needs a health inspection and have their employees go through a health and safety course. Maybe if you paid your employees a decent wage, you'd get some decent people. I ignored the reviews for this location and I will never make that mistake again. I always order the turkey bacon bravo sandwich when I eat at Panera. I wasn't too hungry at the time so I decided to take it home to eat later. They used the wrong turkey! It was roasted turkey instead of smoked. I don't like roasted turkey. I ate part of the sandwich, but I just could not eat anymore of the turkey so I took the turkey off and ate a little more that way. I ended up tossing the other half. Not cool. The broccoli cheddar soup was interestingly thick and not in a good way. The steak and cheese sandwich hardly had any cheese at all. My kids wouldn't finish their chips because they were too greasy. We could not find a clean place to sit for the 3 of us. It was around 3pm and maybe 5 customers. There were plenty of tables, they were just dirty. We went outside and again, tons of tables, but all were dirty. I went up to the counter and asked them to make it a to-go order instead. I just don't understand the reviews that are negative maybe I was just lucky or plain glad I came in at the right time just look at the desserts I posted they are so good and better yet they label all the calories you eating with your dessert. So coming back for the soup and salads are a great menu with beverages that everyone of all ages could and would enjoy. Very disappointing. My friend and I both got a half smoked turkey avocado BLT sandwich and while there was a ton of stuff on the sandwich there was no flavor. The crust on the bread was so tough we couldn't bite through it so had to tear it off and then we were left with a lot of lettuce, tomato and turkey with very little bread to hold it together. (There was very little bacon or avocado.) I also had the small Caesar salad which was okay, but had very little dressing on it. My friend had the French Onion soup and said it was very good. I come here often since I work in the Galleria so I keep coming back just because it's convenient, nearby and there just aren't many options in this part of town. And I'm always mad at myself for coming again. I've received moldy bread on my sandwiches, wrong orders and scolding hot drinks that were steamed way above the standard. On the few times that I've complained about something that is inedible, I'm been met with an attitude from the staff. This is a really nice area. It's an outdoor mall with parking garages and parking spots down the Main Street, which are always taken. Plenty of seating outside. Dog friendly mall with lots of potty bag stations for your pooch. This Panera Bread has a covered patio and lots of seating outside. The inside is very clean and very large inside as well. The food is made to order sandwich's, soups, salads and baked treats. I had the turkey and avocado BLT, the bread is very soft and the sandwich is thick. Comes with a dill pickle spear and a bag of chips, or I believe you can swap the ships out for apple slices. Large chunks of turkey and mashed avocados with 2 slices of bacon. It's a pretty big sandwich. I was hoping to use a gift card, but this particular gift card had a limitation date on it, which I didn't know, my fault for not reading. Disappointed I lost $10.00. They do have WiFi as you can see there is a lot of people on their laptops working. Nice atmosphere. Great place to have lunch. read more

I had a wonderful breakfast here this morning on the way to my nieces 4th BD party. And, boy am I glad I decided on the Breakfast Power Sandwich because I needed the "Power" to power through the 2 hour pool party with 15 kids beating each other up with pool noodles. Located in the Hill Country Galleria this new location is fresh and clean with the usual colorful outdoor umbrellas. I love their vast bread selection and all their healthy eating options with many low fat soups and sandwiches. They have a nutrition link on their website so I clicked on it when I got home to see what the damage was - I was happy to see that my breakfast sandwich was surprisingly only 360 calories! My toasted multi grain sandwich bread in-closed melted white cheddar, extra lean ham and a fried egg - Yum! I also got a multi grain roll for my Pup that she loved. At their other locations I have enjoyed their turkey sandwich and the salad topped with grilled chicken.
