I have to be honest. I wasn't a fan of Panera. Went to lunch with a bunch of co-workers several years ago in Livermore and felt that the menu was confusing, the portions too small and the prices too high. Additionally, the service was so slow that we ran out of time to eat our lunch because we had to get back to work. Yesterday, we were out in Brentwood to pick up some yummies and I had a Panera Gift Card with us. We had been given this card at least three years ago, but since I wasn't a fan, we never got around to using it. Well, now we were before I lost it. I tried ordering online, which should have been simple but for one tiny problem. We had held the gift card for so long, apparently their current cards have a pin number and mine did not. So I ended up calling the restaurant and placing my order over the phone. I believe that the call takers name was Makayla? She wasn't sure how to look up the value on her terminal either so she asked if I could simply bring it in. She was there waiting for me when I walked in and had to ask someone else to help figure out the value. Soraya took over and payment was accepted. I was instructed on where to go to wait (at the end of the counter), and which way to exit the restaurant once I had my order. It took maybe ten minutes as there were other orders being prepared while I waited. Once it was ready, my order was handed to me and I was thanked. Customer service was very good. Everyone was friendly and multiple employees acknowledged me. We drove to several parks and down to the marina in an attempt to park and eat. Unfortunately, because of the pandemic, all were closed. We ended up eating in the parking lot of the BART station. We were both very pleased with the portion size and quality of our meals. Each came in a heavy paper bowl with a plastic lid. There were napkins, plastic forks and knives and napkins packed with our food. In a separate paper bag were our two Fruit Cups. I enjoyed my Baja Grain Bowl enough that I would return to order it again! read more

I ordered through doordash and paid $79 and some odd change. I received bread bowls, and a tiny cup of soup which one didn't even fill the bowl. I had to put two cups to fill the bowl. Every time I come to this location it's a problem, the workers are rude, bread is either burnt, stale, or small. Please do not get the food delivered they do not tape anything but the big bag with one small sticker that does nothing. I will try my absolute best to never ever do business with them ever again. We order rapid curbside pickup via the Panera app last week. After placing the order, the order was delayed. We then received an update to input the location number for curbside pickup. However, the food still did not arrive. We ended up going inside and waiting (again). Our 10 minute wait time increased to over 30 minutes. Finally, the food is done but the staff do not bring the food out for curbside pick. They bag the items and place them on the shelf for in store pickup. Why advertise something when you can deliver? No employee apologized for the wait, delay, or lack of curbside pickup. I then called to speak with a manger after getting home and nobody answered the phone. Used to love coming here. Today my broccoli cheddar was cold and zero flavor. They were nice and gave me a new hot one. It was runny! Worst thing is to have runny soup when it's supposed to be nice and thick. The baguette is also cold and not soft. Also sitting here there is so many dirty dishes sitting up by the trash and food and trash all over the restaurant. Got here at 2:30 so it's not lunch rush. Would not recommend this location to anyone, especially with food allergies. I ordered the You Pick Two on DoorDash, ordered a cup of broccoli cheddar soup and a half a roasted turkey avocado sandwich. When I received my food, everything was correct except for the sandwich, I made the mistake of not inspecting my sandwich, bit into it and tasted an almond. I'm allergic to nuts and I realized the sandwich was some almond chicken sandwich. I called Panera to report the issue and nobody ever called me back. read more

This is a PSA, for the slow people a Public Service Announcement. Do not patronize the Panera Bread on Lone Tree in Antioch/Brentwood. I ordered two (two) full salads for $30. I picked up my order which the Put in 1/2 order containers telling me it was the same as a full order because they gave me four containers. This was not true because I have order a half order salad from them before and it was full. Not only did i discover that i paid for a Full salad and only got a half because both containers fit iron one of the half but there was a hair in one of the containers. However that was on me. I noticed that NONE of the employees making the food had hair nets or caps that prevented hair from falling in. I will never go back to this restaurant again. The best thing about it was it had lots of empty tables available now I know why that is not sanitary. People you have been warned. Go to this establishment at your own risk. According to the employee, after I asked why i had 4 small containers, they did not have any FULL containers. This is some BS. Put some hair nets on curly top. read more

About 4 months ago, I noticed the mess at this Panera Bread but I thought maybe I just came in at a busy time. I was there again 2 days ago and could NOT believe how filthy and grimy this place was!!!! If I could give it less than a 0 star, I would. I recently subscribed to the monthly coffee offer. They were offering the first 3 months free. You can order coffee or tea every 2 hours during the trial period. The selection was good. You can pick from iced coffee, hot coffee, decaf coffee or hot tea with different flavors. It's been a couple of weeks since I first subscribed. Since I like tea and coffee, and the deal is good, I already planned to continue my subscription once the free trial ends. Sometimes I will order my drink with pastries since their cinnamon rolls are really good. However, I think the manager and employees really don't like seeing my name anymore. Today when I order my tea on the mobile app, once I got there, the manager said they had no hot water. I guessed they were just too busy and so they ran out of hot water. I just made the hot tea order again, but the employee there said to me, "Only tea! We have tea and water over there. Go get it yourself." They gave me a dirty cup and there was no hot water but just tea bags. Bye Panera Bread, there are a lot of good restaurants. Today my daughter ordered on line at the Antioch I ordered Strawberry Chicken salad and Chicken Noodle Soup. The salad was absolutely delicious. When I opened the cup of soup, I had one noodle, two small pieces of carrots and one tiny piece of chicken! ! This is unacceptable! As much as I love the broth in this soup, I also love the noodles and carrots! Beware when you order this soup. Check the contents before you bring it home.
