Ah, Panera Bread. I still remember my first visit to one of their locations years ago--it felt like stepping into something new and magical. The aroma of fresh bread, the visible hustle of the bakers in their exhibition kitchens, and a staff that seemed genuinely proud of their work. It was a place that celebrated food. Sadly, those days seem to be a distant memory. This location, in particular, has become a far cry from those early experiences. Every time I visit, it feels like the decline has deepened. They never seem to have the signature baked goods you actually want in stock, and the kitchen--once a highlight--now appears neglected. The floors are unkempt, the tables are consistently dirty, and the atmosphere feels chaotic. The blaring music doesn't help--it's more disruptive than inviting. On my most recent visit, I ordered a breakfast sandwich and a latte. The sandwich was clearly microwaved--hot edges and an ice-cold core that left me wondering if they even checked it before serving. The latte was the final straw. As I sipped, I noticed pieces of food caked to the inside of the cup. Disgusting. It's one thing to cut corners on freshness or service, but basic cleanliness is non-negotiable. It pains me to see how far Panera has fallen. What was once a beacon of quality and comfort has become a place I'll never return to. We deserve better, and quite frankly, so does the Panera name. read more

The broccoli cheddar soup has a bit different taste like of comforting tumeric. I liked the soup actually 4/5. So overall a 3.3. They had a long line so I thought there may be a wait, but it went by pretty fast! They were very efficient and double checked the bags. There is a screen that gives you notice if they are prepping, checking and when it is ready. I liked that up to date information! Overall, 3.5 stars. I also usually like their salads ( Asian and Fiji Apple ) and baked goods like cookies, pastries, muffins and bagels! So overall I like Panera! read more

Before we moved to Brentwood, my husband had a bias against Panera Bread and he would never, ever eat there. But he is a huge fan of Einstein Bros. Bagels and we learned that Panera has the same parent company - so they use the same method to make their bagels (steaming instead of boiling prior to baking, which gives a very light, fluffy texture). Coming from the East Coast, I am very picky about my bagels and I just can't stand the tight, closed texture that a lot of overworked bagels dough get when they are boiled. Steaming beforehand is basically a cheat code that helps bagels come out well on a mass scale. These bagels aren't as good as a Mom & Pop shop, but my husband has been converted and he does like eating at Panera now! The other food here is always really straightforward and tasty. There is a limited amount of healthy fast food options in Brentwood, so this is one of the better choices available to us when we want a light, quick bite. I've lost 80 lbs but I like to eat out sometimes, so Panera helps me stay within my daily calories with salads or half sandwich / soup or a smoothie. We think this place is 5-star because the location is always clean plus the customer service is good. You get what you expect to get - the same quality of food every time, quick and friendly service, and a clean, simple atmosphere. read more

I have only come to this location 2 times first time was for a catering order which came out great the second time was a few days ago with my dad. we each ordered the French dip I waited for 25minutes seeing my name continually skipped over on the board then when it said my order was ready they said they only made one sandwich and made up some excuse why the other one wasnt made. I'm not a regular at Panera, but I've been here a handful of times in the past 5 or so years. My most recent visit was yesterday and I noticed the inside was a bit old and stale looking. The floor was a on the sticky side , and the doors/windows was marks and prints all over. the smell didn't smell like fresh bread as it used to. I haven't been to Panera in over a year but I do remember it being a lot cleaner and fresher before. I came to order a few pastries. One chocolate chip cookie , 1 kitchen sink cookie , a brownie and I also got the iced tea/lemonade. There were three people at the front desk, but only one of them was tending to customers. The other two were talking about their timesheets. There wasn't much acknowledgement besides awkward glances from the two males having a conversation about their timesheets. The lady who was helping customers was preoccupied helping another customer with her app.. which was fine, rightfully so the lady was before me so I waited .. eventually the two males at the front said " okay time to clock out" so I assumed they were killing time to clock out but didn't want to get stuck working so they just pretended no one was there to serve. I maybe waited about 10 mins to get helped. The cookies and brownie tasted fine but the drink was horrible .. it had an after taste I couldn't get rid off and very artificial! Also, I noticed all their self serve lemonade /teas were still standing in the dispenser.. I could be wrong but don't lemonades usually have that rotating thing in the dispensers to the flavors gets mixed in? I could be wrong but that could of been why the tea tasted so bad It was almost $5 too so it's pretty pricy for a drink that tasted horrible. These people really need to work on their customer service. You can stand there for several minutes before anyone asks you if you've been helped. It's very frustrating to stand there and listen to them talking about noon-work related issues while yourke standing there waiting for someone to assist you. They just walk right past you without saying a word, totally ignoring you. Last thing. Cold wet morning in the Delta, what is better than a hot steaming serving of creamy tomato bisque? Answer; A take two toasty cheese sandwich to dip in it! Today the whole family came to Panera for soup and sandwiches. Every one picked different selections because Panera has such a vast menu it's common that we each pick-2 and share. Since most of us don't drink soda we love their "up the energy" drink selections, tea and lemonade. Plenty of selection there too.
