    Breakfast Burrito
    Clarissa P.

We were just passing through the area and decided to stop here after seeing all the great reviews. Unfortunately, it just wasn't our cup of tea. Came in and the hostess didn't even greet us. We just stood there confused until she decided to speak to us and ask how many. The first thing we noticed was how warm and stuffy it was inside. There didn't seem to be much ventilation, and combined with how loud it was, the whole place felt pretty chaotic. There were also several kids crying, walking around and screaming during our visit. We ordered the biscuits and gravy, French toast, and the breakfast burrito. The French toast was the best of the three, although I think the butter did a lot of the heavy lifting. The biscuits and gravy and breakfast burrito were both pretty bland. The burrito itself was also quite hard, and the hash browns inside it were overcooked and overly crispy. For $16 you also didn't get a side. One thing that was annoying was that I asked for a side of sour cream and was charged $1 for a tiny condiment cup without our waitress letting us know there would be an extra charge. The burrito came only with salsa (Pace salsa) while the less expensive breakfast quesadilla includes both salsa and sour cream. Make it make sense. Also, it seemed like the other waiters and waitresses gave kids a kids water cup but our little girl didn't get one or was offered a water at all. We gave her some of our water. Overall, this place wasn't for us, and I wouldn't return or recommend it based on our experience. But, it was crowded! So it seems like the locals love it, maybe it's the only option around.

First timers and my cousin said this is the place to go. We wanted a breakfast spot that was more home style and this definitely hit the spot. The old school chairs for waiting, the art on the wall..I really liked the setting. Service was quick and awesome the girls did great, thank you. Meals came out quick, I got the lumpy skillet with some salsa. I loved it and with the mix veggies. But that churro waffle was omg, so worth it. If I lived here this would definitely be one of my go to spots.

Was working in the area and wanted to grab something to eat for myself. Was browsing around local places and this one popped up for me. Was within walking distance and had online ordering, so I had to give it a try. Veggie Benedict: Almost the same as a Florentine Benedict, but no spinach. Still, it was delicious. Despite its rough looking presentation when I received it (granted everything was just shifted to one side of my container when I was eating it), I enjoyed the meal. The eggs were poached perfectly and the Hollandaise sauce was great. The hash browns could have been crispier, but still, I enjoyed my meal. Also, got a kids peach shake and it was refreshing and satisfying to consume. Overall, had a nice brunch and can see myself ordering from here again.

We're looking for a Diner near our house on Oakley and came across Lumpy's Diner on Yelp. It's just a short drive from our house and very convenient It's what I expected from a Diner and they serve good breakfast and sandwiches for lunch. They have several variety of food on their menu. The place is neat and I like the ambiance of the place. The diner has several framed pictures posted all over its walls and reflects a nice comfortable atmosphere while dining. For breakfast, I ordered the Pancake BREAKFAST which has two buttermilk fluffy pancakes served with one egg, any style, and your choice of bacon, sausage, ham, hot link, or linguica. Service was excellent and quick. The food was also delicious. The pancake was fluffy and generous in size. I enjoyed our breakfast and was glad to check in on Yelp

This is our go to spot for breakfast. My girls and I love the service and atmosphere. We go so much the owner asks about whoever isn't with us that day. They serve a solid breakfast and we have no complaints. If you go on the weekends be prepared to wait a little bit.

I love coming here. Everyone always is friendly and attentive. The ambience is chill, fast paced, and very bright, they have a lot of windows . The food is always a 10 out of 10, on point & tasty!!! Our server was amazing so friendly & attentive. If you're in the area, you'll have to try this place out. You will not be disappointed.

Decent brunch spot in the area. Quick service and friendly staff. My husband ordered a breakfast sandwich with chicken fried steak and I ordered the Kitchen Sink Burrito. That was pretty good and our waitress recommended for the wrap to be grilled which I enjoyed. We also ordered the churro waffle and that was ok. Overall, good service and decent food.

An old school place with a great vibe. There is usually a wait but it's also usually worth it! The food came out super fast and was hot! The wait staff does a great job keeping up with a packed house. The cooks are very consistent. The menu offers a lot of variety. Prices are good and portions are too! Will definitely be back

Update 3/2/25 Another visit to Lumpy's for our Hawaiian breakfast fix of Loco Moco. Again, an excellent breakfast choice. The hamburger patty is NOT over cooked and dry, but really tender and tasty. The spam fried rice is the perfect foundation for Lumpy's iteration of Hawaiian Loco Moco. The green onion palm tree is really cool and cute representation of an "island" of delicious food! A rating of 5/5! Loco Moco is not on Lumpy's main menu. It's only prepared on selected days. You can call to see what days Lumpy's will put their loco moco on their menu. You can try other selections on their menu which are great too. Give Lumpy's a visit. You'll be satisfied and content!

Ask the Community - Lumpy's Diner

Can I bring my dog inside the restaurant while friends and I dine( lap dog)?

I am not sure. I don't remember ever seeing dogs in there, but it gets pretty packed in there. So I don't know if I'd even bring my dog in there.

    When did outdoor dining disappear?

Hi, thanks for your question. Due to staffing issues and also poor weather, outdoor dining disappeared. We were hoping to bring it back for the warm months ahead, But then, we have that staffing issue again… please stay tuned! if we can get this all…

Does anyone know if they are open during the Stay At Home Period?

Yes, we’ve been open,. We’ve been taking it day by day. We are open for takeout only. Please check our Facebook or website for hours this week. And thank you so much for your support

Many restaurants offer "Kids eat free" days - do they participate? If so, which day(s) offer free or reduced price meals for children?

Reduced kids meals I believe are on Thursday from a certain time 11:00am to 3:00pm I believe, You can always call and ask they are super friendly ?

The morning atmosphere has that classic neighborhood warmth to it--no rush, no fuss--just comfort food done the way it's meant to be. From the moment we sat down, everything felt familiar in the best way, like our past and present got to meet right at the breakfast table. Our food was just... exactly right. The flavors were satisfying and full, the portions were the kind that make you feel taken care of, and the whole meal tasted like it was made with care instead of shortcuts. It's the type of breakfast that doesn't try too hard, but still delivers. Even after all this time away, **it was still excellent**, which is honestly the biggest compliment I can give. What made the visit extra special was the nostalgia. We weren't just eating breakfast--we were remembering why we loved coming here in the first place. It brought back that feeling of earlier mornings, earlier routines, and time spent together without even realizing how much we'd missed it. Coming back after so long made the experience feel bigger than a meal. **Bottom line:** If you're looking for a breakfast spot that's reliably delicious and also has that comforting, "we've been here before" feeling, **Sylvia's in Antioch** is absolutely worth a return visit--even if it's been years like it was for us.

Every time I visit home I try to stop by Lumpy's to get this bad boy but they're always sold out. So this time around I came prepared. On Friday morning I called right when they opened at 7:00 AM to place a pre-order for 3 Pittsburgers ($25.17). The woman I spoke to on the phone said they're made around 9:45 AM, so I came back around 9:30 to pick them up. They were piping hot when I got them but unfortunately we ate them about 2 hours later because we brought them to an Alcatraz tour. These seem different from the ones I had when I went to PHS. They're definitely bigger and don't remember them being so dense (then again I haven't had one in ages). It's basically a Sloppy Joe with ground beef, a lot of ketchup, onions, cheese, and bread. Very simple ingredients but a ton of nostalgia. Anyone who went to PHS would say they adored the Pittsburger, so if you're feeling nostalgic on a Friday morning, definitely order one.
