In the past, water was available in small jars, but now it's set up in a larger dispenser. After ordering ice cream, we went to grab some water, but it had run out. I let the staff member in front know, and she kindly explained that they were out, which I completely understood. However, another staff member suddenly commented that there was no water and that if I wanted some, I should buy and pay for it. It was a bit surprising--not because of the policy, but because of the tone, which came across as a bit harsh. Maybe she was just having a bad day, which I can understand, but the delivery didn't feel very welcoming. I want to emphasize that I have no issue paying for water at all; in fact, I planned to go back to the car after ice cream to get water since we parked nearby. It was just the way it was said that didn't sit well. I didn't say anything at the moment since I understand everyone can have off days, but I do think consistency in how customers are spoken to is important--others might not take that tone as lightly. When I sat down, another staff member came over and offered my family water. If you happen to read this--thank you. Your kindness really meant a lot to us.
